ElectionBuddy is online voting software designed to accurately and securely manage elections for homeowners’ associations (HOAs), nonprofit organizations, K-12 schools, colleges and universities, government or political parties, unions, and more. ElectionBuddy provides many voting options including voters’ cell phones, tablets, and computers, or via mailed printed ballots. The software supports a range of voting systems including first past the post (FPTP), cumulative voting, single transferable vote (STV), preferential ballot, scored voting, referendums, rating scale or approval voting. Ballots can be customized for candidate elections, board positions, budget approvals, motions, bylaw amendments, contract ratifications, member polls, and more. With ElectionBuddy, users can reach out to voters with personalized announcements by mail, email, text, e-newsletter, or through their website. Voter information can be pulled from multiple systems, including Gmail, MailChimp, Campaign Monitor, CRM systems, and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. ElectionBuddy automatically notifies users of any emails which have bounced, allowing them to update voter lists, and users can also view who has or has not voted, with the ability to schedule texts messages or emails to boost voter turnout. ElectionBuddy is a secure platform as personal voting keys are created and used only once. Voters are required to confirm their identity by phone or using a secondary password. All voting choices are confidential and not linked to the voter. Results can also be hidden until the end of the election for anonymity. Election results are visualized in pie charts, summaries and bar graphs, and after elections users can analyze voter lists and conduct voter audits.
