ClassDojo's software is user friendly for teachers. In my classroom, it is used as incentive for positive behaviors. I use it heavily when students are off task or loud, by giving other students Dojo points for being on task or quiet. It is reinforcement of others with tons of verbal recognition to desired behaviors in hopes to change the undesired behaviors from other students. Rarely do I use the...
My least favorite aspect is not concerning software, but that some parents would like photos of the class while others have declined permission to have their student's picture taken. It makes it rough trying to figure out who can be in a picture and who cannot. I enjoy talking with parents with live time updates on their student's behaviors, but I struggle with the picture aspect.

Overall Dojo was a teacher chosen way to communicate with parents regarding any student behaviors, classwork, or forms. It does allow some student functions and private chat features that are imperative to have these days. This platform would not work so well for older students in my opinion and didn't really seem to go above and beyond for a desired long-term communication use.
I mostly like ClassDojo because my daughter enjoys it. She can't wait to come home from school to see my reaction to any pictures, bulletins or teacher comments. This platform also appeals to my daughter because it allows for her to personally custom a cute avatar as her icon. I like any educational tool that gets my child excited to use it and excited to perform in an exemplary manner at school.
I least liked ClassDojo's limited functions for non paying users. It doesn't really seem warranted to put money into something that would not deliver premium features. Saving pictures was also another issue that made me less interested in this software. At the end of a school year all student pictures aren't accessible without saving them previously or without a pay account.

I love it!!!!
Wow! I love this one. I use it regularly in my class to connect with parents immediately and also to motivate students.
The missing of copy and paste feature in class messages is the con for me. I have to upload from my drive even a small card messages. I would like to see a paste message option available in the class story or school story.

I love being able to chat and communicate back and forth with parents.
I really do not have any features that I don't love about ClassDojo. It is a huge incentive for my students to be a part of this program.
