Overall, we have had good experiences. The package has a straightforward install (save once when we didn't have the correct release, and good to very good support.

The integration with SF and our TMS is great, its fantastic to have all order information linked to the accounting objects. Reporting is great as well, that is mostly a SF feature.

The inability to send ACH payments out of the box was a huge piece for us.

Frustrating onboarding for someone who's not a CPA, even if familiar with Salesforce and something like Quickbooks.Customer support has been difficult at times to get a usable answer.  From April 2020 until just this last month April 2023, I"ve never been able to actually talk to a support rep.  Only communications through Cases.  Just recently I'm finally getting some help from them how to get the system configured for use in my business.  I still hold on to hope that I'll be able to automate the tedious tasks such as create payable-open payable-add payable line-post payable-pay payable... 9 or 10 clicks/inputs just to get a vendor paid

Serious software for any business that needs and wants a comprehensive accounting system

I would say it has been positive once we got the system where we needed it.  We had lots of customization done as the standard Accounting Seed didn't work for our company needs.

We needed a system that integrated with our contacts and programs.  We wanted to be able to see what programs a donor had given to along with financial data for those programs.  With Accounting Seed working inside SalesForce, all our data, across all departments, is in one place can easily be linked, integrated, displayed, and reported.  This allows us to better serve our constituents with accurate data immediately at our fingers via desktop or mobile apps with access anywhere in the world.

Our overall experience was good.  We transitioned from Quickbooks to Accounting Seed and it was a major transition, but the accounting seed team worked with us to make sure it went smoothly.

Solid accounting package for Salesforce

We've had issues on and off using the program since going live in January 2019, however, AccountingSeed Customer Support has helped us through all of those issues.  They've even done some customization for us as a courtesy.   I've been working on a custom template (with Conga) for months now and the fields I need on the form were not available to us. CSR with AccountingSeed helped me today with these custom fields; he added them as a courtesy and also sent me a video on how he did this.  VERY helpful to have in the future.

I give Accounting Seed a five rating, and for more reviews, click on the link below. So we use Accounting Seed for all of our client billing and for all of our payments. We also use Accounting Seed to generate our periodic financial reporting on performance of the company, income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. We may also drill in on a particular account to see what's going on, to see the nature of charges. So we can look at our income statement and drill down to see what has resulted in a particular expense, what the accounting record was. That's what we do. That's what we use Accounting Seed for. Accounting Seed is built on the Salesforce platform, so that means it's got all of the tools and capabilities that are there available for developers to create business process automation.
                                                       So they have, for example, approval flows already easy to configure and set up. They have a very good regime for controlling access to different application functionality or to read, write, edit, delete capabilities on specific fields. So it's built on the Salesforce platform. It's very, very robust platform. No downtime that we've ever experienced, and that's the first thing. Second thing is that it's just basically easy to do all the things that we need to do.
                                                       Nothing significant, but a couple reporting things that it's possible to do outside of Accounting Seed with an export to Excel with a pivot table, but producing reports, I don't like the fact that you can't produce a report with divisions across the top or as columns and the general ledger codes as rows. You can do a lot with reporting, but you can't do that structure, and that's a very useful structure.
