ShiftCare provides a secure central point for my team to enter and review client case notes from the mobile phone app. This was the primary function for which I signed up to ShiftCare. I have since upgraded to the top level of subscription to provide my team with the ability to enter their own shifts. This functionality more than justifies the additional expense of the top tier subscription in terms...
ShiftCare provides a comprehensive platform for me to manage staff and clients in my small NDIS business providing psychosocial supports to people in their homes and in the community. In real time I can see when and where staff log on and off shifts, and when they enter case notes and mileage. I especially like the functionality of staff being able to enter their own shifts, meaning that they don't need to contact me when organising ad-hoc appointments with their clients.
Due to the nature of our work - visiting a number of different clients in different locations during the same day - I find it time consuming to schedule individual appointments for each client then enter separate blocks of time to fill in between appointments to capture a staff member's entire shift i.e. if a staff member is working from 10am to 6pm and seeing 3 clients in different locations during that time, I need to enter each client visit separately then create dummy appointments for paid time between clients.

It's a hard start because it has so many elements to it but I think it'll be that way with any shift management app. I like that support is easy to contact and very responsive but it can be quite a pain and frustration dealing with all the issues that pop up sometimes. Worth the price and they're always developing new features which I like.
Shiftcare is quite easy to introduce to users, has a good pricing structure that makes it very reasonable unlike per client software, as well as generally being responsive. The people working it generally know the app very well and worst case the higher ups can get involved to problem solve which is quite good knowing the support to resolve issues is there, which I haven't experienced with bigger tech firms.
Really niggly issues that shouldn't be an issue end up being a massive issue and taking a lot of admin time. Like pricing details not updating on newer shifts, invoicing issues (NDIA reject the smallest error and it's digging for a needle in a haystrack with Shiftcare so I invoice manually which takes a whole day). Some apps generate service agreements which is a huge drawback for this and adds so much admin time. The niggling issues are a nightmare some days, like adding users to Xero.
Thank you Hayden - some good food for thought which I've shared with our dev team. We take pride in our software being simple and user friendly so any inefficiencies or frustrations are priorities for us to solve.

Once set up, it eases - scheduling and invoicing.
Not enough automation, with profile - where plan is half NDIA and half plan manage.Making set up very long process.When open, the calendar is not current week.When adding staff important documents, document can't be open up to view to ease check up & input of expiry date.There are still some errors in scheduling repeat shifts.2 weeks bulk invoice is not good - should be 4 weeks.I thought I will safe alot of time when I use shift care, but it's still require alot of man power due to the lack of automation.

Overall I am very satisfied with ShiftCare. You won't find a single system out there that won't incur feedback with personal preferences and I think overall, ShiftCre has nailed it.Notes and communication is should be easily recorded and separated, for example keep shift notes, incidents and case notes separate.
Incredibly simple to use, it syncs with accounting systems so well. It has been very easy to use and navigate and very minimal training required to use it. The app is very easy to use also, I love the constant support and information provided by ShiftCare and very rarely are there technical issues if any at all.Some systems over complicate things with their set outs and when there are too many options...
I love how you can add things to the system like forms ect to work with your in-house documents. It would be great if there was a bulk upload for documents to save time.The schedule when opened should reflect the current week to avoid rostering errors.I also feel that shift care is slightly too expensive for app only users as well.

Great platform that is user friendly and easy to integrate and train new staff.
Shiftcare helps to ensure the right staff to be allocated on time and to provide the highest quality service. The ability to read shift notes at the click of a button along with the Xero integration make invoicing and staff payments a breeze.
The transport kilometres being divided between participants living in a shared environment needs to be done manually when invoicing. Not a huge issue unless you have a large amount of SIL homes.

took a while to get used to all options, which I still am not up to speed with every aspect of Shiftcare, but it is a very useful business tool for all the team.
Access for Carers and Management and ability to monitor Carers shifts and supports providing, easy access for all.
for my own use, I would find it too time consuming to enter what I am currently using in my Calendar on a daily basis, to enter notes / meetings / documents this would take too long in Shiftcare for me to utilise at this stage on a daily basis. Brilliant for Carers not for Support Coordinator / Director.

The great thing about ShiftCare is that it is easy to use, has a feature for progress notes and mileage which is required for us.It suits the business well and I would recommend it.
There is no-where to have additional addresses in the case of driving clients from one place to another so I have to store all clients appointments and other addresses in my Google maps. Would be easier if these could be included in ShiftCare.

Very happy, it has everything I was looking for. It is affordable Great staff Helps us to comply with NDIS audit
1. It is very easy to use for both admin (those you create and change shifts) as well as for staff (who uses the app from their phone). 2. It is linked to a GPS, so when workers clock on we can see where they were. This is so useful for auditing. 3. Shiftcare staff are very professional and always ready to help. I like that they are constantly improving the site. It is affordable and price can constantly change according to the number of staff we have We can share notes with other staff members so other healthcare involved can know about it the health condition of our common client
1. Invoicing: I find it hard to use it since it often does not completely match the reality of what we need have to pay (to staff) or charge (to clients). But. it might be just us, the way we are running the payments.

My overall experience with shiftcare has been a positive one, where all the work and time is done through this software, I have been able to get back Time to do other important duties in my role in the business. Shiftcare has definitely been a product that has taken a lot of the stress away from day to day duties and would highly recommend this product to all my friends, which I am current doing anyway.
When training staff how to use this software I liked the fact that I was able to show them on You tube how this product is used where our supports workers can easily clock in and out of shifts, especially having to input various tasks that they needed to complete in order to clock out. the ease of reporting their current movements and care for the client and being able to share any concerns via the shift care app. One other area that was easy was approving our workers time sheets, and adding areas like KM to their travel.
There is an area that will need improvement and it would be in the incident report, where it just needs NDIS requirements e.g. What happened before the incident? during incident and after incident , and was there anyway they could avoid this incident in the future... Even adding triggers that may have caused this incident.

Shiftcare is the backbone of our business and I would not be able to function without it. I like how easily I have been able to adjust my subscription to reflect the exact number of staff I have at any one time. Shiftcare are always updating and improving their platform. I am very happy with it!
Learning to use Shiftcare was easy and there is usually ongoing training and updates available from their support team. I have been able to get good responses from support if I ever needed more assistance and these have fixed my issues quickly.
The mobile platform for the administrator role doesn't allow me to easily update or add shifts for my staff, so I usually log-on using a laptop if I am not in my office location. I find the notifications icon frustrating, as I am not able to delete individual notifications and let others remain in that menu if I am not ready to read them yet.

overall experience has been great. We chose shiftcare because of it's simlicity in use and the cost compared to other systems. More than happy with the software and organisation
We use shiftcare for case noting, scheduling, rosters. I find it easy to use for client case noting. It's easy to jump from one client to the next. Adding reports is easy and easy to find. We are happy with the amount of information we need to add for client details. We have had great interactions with the shiftcare team. They are always available to chat when we need help. We have had a zoom meeting with the team to discuss things we would like added to shiftcare and they were more than happy to work on their systems to make it easier for us as users.

We have only needed to use the online technical assistance to help us understand the software. So far everything has met our needs. Any time that I have emailed a ShiftCare representative, their response has always been efficient, friendly and professional.
We have found ShiftCare very easy to get started and affordable for start-up businesses like ours. We like the clock-in and out feature for staff members to use and the scheduler is very effective ensuring our client service times don't overlap. The document hub for staff certifications tells us as soon as any staff documents are out of date and we need to follow up. So far we haven't hit any major snags but if we do, I know that the back up customer support is available and efficient. There is plenty of information on the app (What's New on ShiftCare section to keep you informed but also know you can get in contact with the ShiftCare staff anytime and they can help you.
Nothing yet, still learning all the features and tailoring the software to meet our small business needs.

It’s been a fantastic resource for our support company, to streamline information about each shift and client details.
Shift care not only is a great rostering system with all your scheduled shifts clearly presented, but gives the employer the ability to add photos and documentation for each unique client, so that you have easy access to their important information at any time. I also really like that you can put in instructions for each shift, so my boss can communicate clearly if there are any routine changes, without having to text or email. It also comes up with the client’s home address and the notes will further outline where we need to pick them up from.
The notifications that say my “non-working day leave request” was declined when I never put in leave for that day - I just didn’t have a shift.
Thanks Jade! Having followed the feedback regarding progress notes and client management, we're putting even more resources into making these features even better. Our team are also looking into the "non-working day leave request" issue.

Great, makes my job easier. I can manage a multi location business without stress.
Shiftcare is a great software that does the overall management of rostering, progress noting, clocking in and out, staff timesheets and client billing and much more.
At times when you say for eg: archive a staff, it does not immediately do so, but it tends to refresh itself and update.

ShiftCare has streamlined our scheduling and management of supports. ShiftCare has also simplified our approach to client and staff management of their information and documents.
Its ease of use with minimal training or direction required is advantageous. Allows users to easily record shift times, progress notes and expenses. Notifications are a helpful feature for admins when managing/reviewing shifts.
Mobile app could be improved to include more features present on the web version. Reminders for staff to complete case notes for completed shifts would be useful.

ShiftCare has been an overall seamless experience. It allows me to schedule and keep in touch with my employees and when their shifts are on.
Scheduling and managing clients and employees is made easy. The phone experience is good for employees and allows us to track if they clock in and out of shifts.
Notifying managers about expiry dates on compliance would be helpful.

Great product that is functional, easy to operate with excellent support.
Easy to use, has great functionality, responsive team with great support when needed.
Features are always being added and improved. A few small glitches from recent updates will take you back to current weeks when working on previous weeks in reports

Very impresssed! Made my job 1000 times easier.
Not only is the seat out great, there is everything you need on the app. I like how you can change the setting of the app depending if you’re admin or an employee so you should just ab able to see your own clients/shifts.
Sometimes it will glitch after restarting mutilple times and not show shifts.

one word EXCELLENT!
