Tech support consistently blames the hosting company and vica versa rather work with the hosting company to fix problems.

I liked that eM was a kind of "middle of the road" (just the right amount) of functionality/features AND they have a nicer GUI than Thunderbird (more modern).

Either have discounts or don't, but that's a strange carrot to wave and then pull back. Then there is the issue of waiting weeks for confusing answers that need clarification.

Little problem or confusion I had with the "search" function. I think it did not work 100% well across all my accounts.

Has every features that you need to manage all mail, task, contact, notes, calendar and it's perfect with icewarp server because it's very well integrated.

Also I find the email interface to be much more user friendly than any of the cloud-based services.

But, I will say this: even though the issues wasn't resolved in my case, the customer support and moderators on their forum were all very helpful and responded pretty quickly.

Still, I think the client is fantastic enough that I would want to purchase it, that is, until I got to their licensing policy.

Very much cheaper than Outlook but looks and feels familiar so is easy to use. We move to eM Client from Thunderbird and like the integration of eM Client with Google Contacts very helpful.

Our overall experience with eM Client is very positive. I would be happy to recommend it to any one looking for a good, reliable, traditional email client that is cheaper than Outlook. In fact, I like it better than Outlook anyway and though we now have Office 365 inc Outlook I have no intention of moving from eM Client.

I have a very large mail database which can make it slow, however most things work very well.

A modern email, calendar and contact manager

Again, I like the concept and the thought behind the product but would consider it too unstable for business use.  The good thing is that the repair process works, the bad is that you have to do it so often.

For a product that has so many nice features for efficiency, to have the conversation thread backwards so that for each email you have to page down to find the last response is hard to understand why they did that.  They seem to be confused between a texting program that shows the most recent at the bottom (but also opens at the bottom so the most recent is where it opens) and an email client where the most recent is normally at the top so you see the response immediately.
These items make this program an also run that I will be keeping an eye on because I really like the design and if they get them resolved then it will be one of my favorites.  But still cannot be recommended at this time.

Not recommended

I used to spend too much time logging into different e-mail providers just to check e-mail messages and communicate with colleagues and clients. Now I only need to open my eM Client software and see all e-mail accounts in one integrated dashboard. There is no more hassle and productivity has increased manyfold during my use of this software.

I had to uninstall eM Client and go back to Thunderbird which has a lot more functionality than eM, but I don't need all of that. I liked that eM was a kind of "middle of the road" (just the right amount) of functionality/features AND they have a nicer GUI than Thunderbird (more modern). But, the syncing errors and issues just drove me crazy. So, I'm back with Thunderbird for now. I may try them again in the near future to see if the kinks were worked out or if it just all of a sudden will sync right with my accounts, because they are worth a second look. If you are someone that needs a little more than just very basic functions, but don't want over kill and aren't a highly advanced email client user, then I will definitely consider eM Client. You may not encounter the issues I did....they are worth a look!

Great Alternative to Outlook

I would describe my overall experience as mid-level. The support experience was above and beyond
I worry that the malfunctions I experienced were isolated incidents or due to some outside factor such as our computers or connection. I just didn't have the time to continue to try and address it -- I needed a solution yesterday. I would advise reading a number of reviews before making a decision.

I'm very happy with emclient. It's the only desktop platform I found that made me change from browser mail platform to desktop platform again.

I used this product for several years, and I have finally given up. It's just awful.

I love the platform, but the inability to display emails with large attachments is a huge problem to our business. Customer support were rude and closed the support ticket to a paying customer without our consent and without resolving the issue, or doing everything they could to help. They washed their hands of it.

Best email management program

I've used eM Client for the past few years and have been overall happy. That said, there have been frustrating moments with support and I really hope they fix the current print glitch mentioned above.

I have found eM Client to be the perfect solution for my needs. I am able to access my saved messages and folders without having to pull them from the cloud. This is huge. Also I find the email interface to be much more user friendly than any of the cloud-based services. Finally, on the original setup, I migrated from Thunderbird and the entire experience was incredibly smooth and easy. This was a big plus as I was getting started.

VIP Support is an optional service, if you do not need help from our technicians you can just not buy it. If you ever need assistance from our team, the subscription can be extended any time later and you can get dedicated support from our experts including remote help.
The VIP Support has always been an additional service in our policy, you just get  1 year free with a license or upgrade purchase.

Just to provide a tip - you can search in All folders, just click inside the Search tab in the top right corner, and next to the magnifying glass icon open the drop-down menu - here you can set which folders to search in (Current folder, Current with subfolders, All folders or custom folder selection) and other details, like which part of the message to search in (Senders, Subject, Body, Attachments...).

It has completely replaced MS Outlook.  I use it multiple times a day for all my email, calendar, contacts, and task management functions.

Started using it a few years ago with the free version but loved it so much that I decided to buy the license. I recommend it to everyone over Outlook because it's much faster and easier to use.

The benefit is that I can keep all my jobs separate and manage them all at the same time.  We work on 10-20 jobs at a time and this software has helped me keep organized and records of everything for those jobs.

eM Client - A perfect software

Overall happy paying client, but would like that they develop more features to match and pass Outlook features.

Alternative to MS Outlook on desktop

It's been so many years of use that I can't remember when I first started using eM Client.  The experience has consistently improved.   Having a clean user interface is important.

Leigh M.:                                              Hi, my name is Leigh. I work with McBain Solutions. I'm actually the owner, operator, founder, and eM Client I would rate as a four out of five. Prior to eM Client, I'd been using a multiple set of versions of Outlook, had also tried Thunderbird and a number of other applications and found that eM Client better addressed my requirements and had greater flexibility with the various email servers I was using. So after reviewing a number of different platforms, I found that eM Client offered an interface that was relatively straightforward and easy to use, a little bit more in line with Outlook, at least earlier to mid versions of Outlook, somewhere in the 2010 to 2016 sort of range, and that had more applicability to easy transition for the end users that I deployed it with. The service itself also worked very well in terms of being able to integrate with both Gmail as well as exchange based server platforms, so it made it a better platform of choice than pretty much anything else I could find.
                                                       eM Client itself was a relatively easy installation. The platform as you're working your way through the guidance and the wizard to get started was fairly straightforward. The help information available in the platform is easy to use as well, and I also found that deployment with the end user was fairly straightforward because most people were at least familiar with, even if they didn't use Outlook as their primary platform, and I found this to be the best alternative choice for that. So as far as recommendations for anybody considering eM Client as an acquisition or an application alternative to Outlook, Thunderbird, et cetera, is, if you have need for more than two email addresses, I would recommend moving forward with the paid version. It will only allow you two in the free version. Outside of that, there aren't a ton of differences.
                                                       There are a couple of very minor security updates that you do get with the paid version that help with limiting tracking components that might be in emails that get sent to you. Outside of that, I would also recommend that you take advantage of the feature to allow you to back up your files. It will do a complete backup of all of your email files, particularly handy if you're using offline folders. In addition to that, I would recommend that you take a look at the Scheduler because the eM Client uses the Windows Scheduler to actually handle the overnight backup, et cetera. So you initiate the backup application inside eM Client, and then if you need to manipulate the time of day that it occurs, you need to get into Windows Scheduler. Outside of that, the help in the application is reasonably good and I've had pretty good success with emailing eM Client and receiving additional support from them as infrequently as it's been needed. I have reached out a couple of times. I hope that helps.

Great Outlook Alternative

Chris M.:                                              Hi, I'm Chris. I'm the owner of a creative services and web company, and I would give eM Client of five out of five. Used Outlook, which most of the world uses, and it actually was working for me. The issue I had was twofold. First of all, I have my own business and I do some consulting and I really wanted to keep my email for those two things completely separate. So I wanted a separate program to do it. To do that without Outlook, Outlook is expensive and I was looking for a more cost-effective solution. 
                                                       I chose eM Client. I looked at a few different options. The first thing that grabbed my eye was that eM Client had a free version, so I could try it for free. They also offered a pay version, which I like, because I'm not always comfortable just taking something that's free mainly because you kind of get what you paid for. So I wanted the option to pay if I needed it.
                                                       Setting  up eM Client was a piece of cake. I mean, basically I downloaded the free version, installed it on my machine and I was able to easily export my contacts, my email, everything I needed out of Outlook and import it in and I was up and running very quickly. Well, I guess my biggest recommendation for eM Client is the fact that it does pretty much everything Outlook does, and I've been using it for probably four years or more now, and I have not outgrown the free version. So it's really been a great solution.
