Planning Center is a robust, all-in-one, web-based church management system. With all the recently added features (People, etc.), there is literally nothing this system cannot do.

Pros
Everything is terrific on this product. We have used it for years, and it keeps getting better!

Cons
The price is not awesome, but it's not unreasonable either. There are cheaper solutions.

Overall we enjoyed the number of features provided, and hands-down is the best software for CCLI/SongSelect storage and planning. But there are other CHMS options that are cheaper and can work alongside PCO Services for a lower cost.

Pros
We loved having the amount of features that PCO (Planning Center Online) included. They provide various add-ons/modules to fit your needs and goals (e.g. check-in, events, people, services, etc.).

Cons
We didn't like the increase in cost as we added more people using PCO. I think the "rhyme behind the reason" is that a church would be able to afford paying more as the church grows in number. While this might be the case for other churches the price didn't seem to justify the features for us. Customer support is fast but it's hard to talk to a real person over the phone (email is their preferred support, but I would rather talk to a person personally).

Pros
The Planning Center suite of services, including People, Services, Groups, etc, is everything you need to effectively run a small start-up or large multi-campus church community. The tools are fast, user-friendly and affordable. You can effectively plan your services, right down to the minute. You can schedule groups and events, take payments, track attendees and members and develop custom workflows for volunteers, follow-ups or pastoral care.

Cons
It isn't cheap. For the budding church, where attendance is still small, it may feel a little steep.

I can plan services, keep our kids' ministry secure, and track our membership all within one piece of software.

Pros
I love the variety in the product. I started with "services," but have branched quickly into "people" and other areas. If you have a need, Planning Center will absolutely cover it. We use it not only for service planning, but for full-featured membership tracking and are about to use it for kids' check in. Customer service is incredibly fast and thorough.

Cons
The only bad thing about Planning Center is the price. It can get expensive as you add people to your teams. However, it is still a great value for the money.

Pros
We've been using PC since it was just for event planning. Now it has people management, volunteer signups, and room reservations and more. We would have a VERY hard time doing what we do on a weekly basis if it wasn't for planning center. The team is great to work with and they have integration with Rock RMS now which has helped us as well. I love seeing this product continue to be developed. So many companies make a great product and ride it until it is obsolete. Planning Center has continued to improve as long as we've used them.

Cons
The pricing tiers for extra storage (or the storage in general) could stand to be bumped up as time has gone on and storage has gotten so much cheaper. But I'd rather specs like this get stale than the product itself.

Love it. Across the board, Planning Center has been an essential tool for our church. It's also priced very affordably.

Pros
SO easy to use! We love planning center for the way it allows our entire team to get on the same page ahead of a Sunday morning. PC allows us to coordinate multiple teams of people, serving together in a morning worship service.

Cons
Nothing. The only limitation I've found in Planning Center is our own lack of execution. PC provides the framework and every tool needed to plan a great Sunday experience.

I am well pleased with the app and would recommend it to anyone searching for such a tool for an affordable price.

Pros
This software allows the user to see all aspects of a service simultaneously. It is easy to use and a very handy tool to have.

Cons
The app notifies a participant when they have a message. It also sends a message to your email address. At times when you accept a role in the app, it doesn't always clear the notification.

Has been phenomenal. Takes time for some users to get acquainted. But they soon become masters of the software!

The many caveats of the system (people, check in, services, etc.) have been amazing to create one central hub for all our volunteer needs.

It is a great program that has a huge community and lots of support. Noting but good experiences with PCO.

Pros
It is so good. It has everything you could ask for and more in a church service planning software. You create your order of worship, it integrates with CCLI and song select, you schedule and confirm volunteers, you upload song resources for musicians and you can even use live during the service to communicate with people if needed. I only covered the core program, not to mention the free add on services you get and the premium ones you can buy.

Cons
The price is the only thing that is a con. It is the best and it is worth the money but it is not the cheapest software that can do what it does.

Pros
I'm a volunteer that uses both the Services and Music Stand products at church. It's so easy to plan services, people, and resources for our worship team. The Music Stand app works great and the best thing I love is the ability to change a key on the fly.

Cons
There's really not anything I don't like about it. Pricing-wise, I'm really please that they have some small, very affordable plans for small churches.

We have been using it for years to schedule volunteers for our very volunteer-heavy church...but mainly only because we can't find anything better/cheaper.

Pros
Gets the job done. Helps schedule volunteers and sends auto-reminders to them. As a church director, I love having something that helps me plan services and schedule volunteers. But it is NOT user-friendly and could be much much better with a few changes.

Cons
Not intuitive at all. Not easy to get used to using effectively; hard to add and edit a person's profile; hard to find the button to send emails; hard to navigate to the correct week; hard to add positions onto your current schedule; just harder than it needs to be in general (and I am a tech guy.)

I use PCO for everything. The best feature is People - a free database that syncs to every feature a church needs!

Pros
I love everything about PCO. For real. I use mostly every feature and have yet to find another product cheaper and better. Do it!

Cons
I really don’t have one. Maybe...at times it’s a bit too good. Sometimes it’s so intuitive that it’s easy to overthink features.

Enjoy using this product. Although the simplicity does mean soome needed functionality isn't there, it's ease of use and reliability make it an excellent product and value! Can't beat their prices anywhere.

Pros
I like how Services and Music Stand work so well together. I also like the seamless integration with CCLI and Song Select. PC has done an excellent job developing integrations that actually seem as though they are part of the native app! Once you connect CCLI and Song Select, you actually don't know you're using them going forward. The same for Faithlife Proclaim.

Cons
Music Stand by Planning Center needs more core functionality. For example, you can't mark up the PDF chord sheets to save and recall later (as you can on Music Stand by Worship Extreme). This is a hassle. You also can't mark up the cord sheets and send them out to the band. They have to mark up their own cord sheets. While you can save the PDF chord sheets for each song, mark ups like highlighting and notes on the chord sheet have to marked up each and every time.

Pros
Pricing is flexible and low if you only need to track names and contacts. You can add features as you grow. There are plenty of useful features for startup churches like us. The mobile apps are great too.

Cons
You need separate apps for the different features, so occasionally I found I had to go to my web browser on my laptop to have all the functionality I needed for a task (such as adding admins) successfully.

It really helps our worship team to be ready each Sunday and saves them rehearsal time. They can individually get the information they need to practice at home and be ready when they come for the run through.

Pros
Easy for everyone to use and it allows the musicians to get the information they need to be ready to play each week. You can get the benefit of a meeting without having to physically meet. They set the billing up and its easy. Great help for any size church.

Cons
As with anything it would be great if it could cost less, but it is priced fairly. I would also like to see more upgrades.

We had a need to go away from our previous system that tracked resources (tables, chairs, etc) with our event calendar system. In researching PCO Resources and seeing their pricing I had doubts that it would be able to meet all our needs. I was surprised to find out that it met every need except a "tiered" approval system, which we were able to adjust our process to accommodate. Very happy, on the whole, with the product.

Scheduling and communicating with team members. Online access and a wonderful app makes it easy to use and always available. Synchronization with CCLI Songselect and ProPresenter software and online service is a great benefit as well.

Pros
Feedback from team members to accept or decline scheduling; synchronization with ProPresenter software for projection purposes; online editing (not hardware based); online storage for files; tiered prices make it a value for any size church

Cons
There isn't much to say that is negative. However, it would be appreciated if the online storage was greater for the number of service types subscribed to.

It's amazing. The fact that it's so integrated makes it hard to move away from anyone of its apps to a competitor simply because you lose out on that integration. That's a huge plus and a decent negative as well. I love it though. it's truly hard to compare to.

Pros
Its suite of applications is amazing. You're able to heavily integrate all of the databases and forms, and check-in's and events that you end up developing a robust knowledge base that is hard to compare to.

Cons
It's not cheap and it's giving platform takes a decent chunk. I wish it played well with api integration from other apps outside of its suite.

Overall I’ve loved using this product and working with the customer service team. They’ve been really helpful during this whole process!!

Pros
I absolutely love this product! We’ve needed a fully in-house system to manage all the contacts, events, information, and communication of our ministry. Planning Center has made all of that so easy at and extremely affordable price.

Cons
It has been a little difficult to on-board our team and volunteers. It’s been a crazy season with Covid as well, so it’s been a trial and error process to introduce the products to our team.

From what I understand the volunteer side works just fine for the ministry folk here. But from a facilities stand point there are much more free options or very cheap options out there can do so much more.

Pros
I like that you can set up each room individually for booking purposes. But of course you will be charged for each room you set up so be careful not to crazy or you will really spend too much.

Cons
The booking of the room is all that it can do. There is no tracking or set up requirements for the space so our facilities people are left to guessing for following a piece of paper. And if the paper need to be produced to function then why bother with a digital version that will just add more steps to any process.

Planning Center is good for a lot of things like scheduling services, scheduling volunteers and keeping track of small groups and members.

Cons
Planning Center implements a module-based price list, which means you pay for whatever you use. This can get pretty expensive; they should reward long term customers with package discounts.

We have used Planning Center for several years and are happy with how it helps us pull off our events and services with excellence.

Pros
Planning Center offers the best scheduling experience possible for worship and media teams. Having the ability to save MP3’s and pdf’s on the system in order for volunteers to see is paramount.

Cons
The file storage seems a little low considering what it’s designed to do. Also, the music Stand app is handy but cost extra.
