User opinions about LastPass price and value

Value for money rating:

Of 92 reviews that provide robust commentary on LastPass's price and value, 52% mention it in a positive light.

Reviewers appreciate that LastPass offers a comprehensive free version, which is suitable for personal use and includes features like unlimited password storage and synchronization across multiple devices. Some users report that the free version is sufficient for their needs, and they value the ability to try the service without an initial financial commitment. Users think the paid version provides additional benefits, such as priority tech support and advanced features like dark web monitoring, which they find valuable for business use. Some reviewers feel that the subscription cost is reasonable and justified by the productivity gains and reduced IT issues it offers.

However, some users report dissatisfaction with the recent changes to the free version, which now limits usage to a single device type (either PC or mobile). They indicate that this change forces them to upgrade to a paid plan, which they find frustrating and less cost-effective compared to other alternatives. Some reviewers mention that the premium features do not add enough value to justify the higher cost, and they find the pricing model to be inflexible, particularly for small businesses. Users also note that the cost has increased over time without significant improvements, making it less appealing compared to competitors.

The Chrome browser extension makes autofill on websites easy and also makes storing new passwords quick and painless.

I use chrome as my default browser - having the extension to save information and autofill is a huge time saver.

Rarely use Chrome of late. Takes too many resources, let alone with add-on apps running.

This is my main browser and lastpass features being available there is priceless

It's plugged into Google Chrome so that it's always running behind the scenes.
