The CCG Product Team loves the roadmap features, reporting capabilities, strategy visualization and customizations, system integration abilities, ease of use and working closely with the Aha! Customer Success Team who is has helped our team use the product in a way that maximized value and supported us as we expanded the product to other areas of the organization including CCG Marketing.

Cons
We would love to roll this out to our entire organization but pricing is too expensive to do so.

We are using Aha for process roadmap management. We started to use it on especially improving test processes in the company. We easily saved our epics and features and sub items related to those and easily follow up our progress on the dashboard. You can define short term, medium term and future term goals which are very important for roadmap tracking

Pros
I like how clean the user interface, sometimes people can drown in the complex ui , cant find their tasks our team tasks but in Aha it is very clear. You can easily integrate it with Jira so you can also follow up your tasks in your primer project issue tracking tool. Parking Lot feature is very useful for the issues that awaits. Login to the product with waad is also useful for the companies.

Cons
at first you need to know how to get your values or how to feed your roadmap so we get training from our e2e architect, so at first you need some training to use all functions of the product. And Pricing is a bit expensive so we are using the product with not giving all access to every users but only some key users can edit the process

The 2x2 value vs. effort visual is a handy way to drive prioritization conversations with groups of stakeholders

Cons
It's expensive and creates yet another layer to Jira. I'd rather just use Jira as the single source of truth.

Pros
My primary interaction with this software was to track our customer's feedback and feature requests for the software we build. Aha! was initially a good fit as it is set up for agile and scrum workflows and allows for Kanban processes, which we heavily lean into as a company.

Cons
In the long run, the price was no longer justifiable for the few areas we used it for, as pricing is based on the number of users.

Could benefit from an additional basic pricing tier (is a very big jump from trial to premium): they do offer a startup pricing model that can be applied for as well that helps on this front.

Pros
Aha! is doing for Product Management what JIRA did to Project Management, it is setting up the right framework to squeeze the most value out of the brains of your product management team. It allows to create a digital representation of the strategy of your organization and take it down to the most low level detail that your engineering team will need to execute the Roadmap.

Cons
The majority of the shortcomings of the tool have been improved already as part of their own roadmap and release plan that adds additional features based on customer feedback. For me the reporting side needed improvement back in the day, but with the latest version all my needs are met.

Pros
It is very streamlined and have a perfect functionalities like getting our product planning details. Ilike how Aha simplifies our strategic planning process for product management and product marketing. I have tried to track and share information on dozens of competitors and had a great visibility into our roadmap getting most of the details. The details are crystal clear for what more we have to do.

Manage product input with ease

It is easy to get started and the product supports the key work for Product Managers very well. The fact that the Ideas portal allows for any number of people to contribute their input makes the ROI on this solution a no brainer.

Pros
The Ideas portal makes managing all the input from stakeholders easy and efficient. The capabilities to customize the input fields and formats as well as the workflow makes the process of collecting and managing the input very efficient for us. The integration with GitLab lets us push the mature ideas into our development process while maintaining the exact same workflow and labeling, including stage changes.

Cons
Nothing really, the only limitation I came across was that the 2x2 graph to visualize the value and cost of your ideas/features does not handle multiple attribute formulas. The tool allows for creation of complex formulas, but the graph only allows display of a single attribute, not a compound one.

Enterprise-grade with powerful flexibility and integrations

Used daily for 2+ years

Pros
Aha! has made a huge difference in our ability strategically plan our releases and align across multiple delivery teams. It's the only tool flexible enough to accommodate our broad and multifaceted product suite, and allows us to report on it all without requiring engineers to create reports for us. The customization and integration capabilities are better and more user-friendly than any I've seen in any product. When configuring customization and integrations in other products, I often find myself thinking "if only this were as easy as Aha". Same thing about reporting - it can be a bit complicated but I think they do a great job of making it as simple as possible even with a huge variety of options and massive flexibility. Their support is also incredibly responsive and friendly, and their documentation is good. It's been really easy for me to teach myself the ins and outs of the product and get answers to my questions.

Cons
Our biggest barrier to getting more value out of Aha is the cost. We would love to bring our scrummasters and UX leaders into Aha in more than essentially just a read-only capacity, but the cost to do that is prohibitive. While the benefits of Aha are huge, so is the cost, so it's something we need to be constantly ready to justify to management. The navigation is also somewhat poor, and there are a handful of specific views that are hard to use, which is a point of confusion for many users. But that's not too bad since we can usually create the view we want via a report.

I already have; see Pros and Cons.

Pros
Workflow is sensational. Hierarchical nature and flexibility to structure product and marketing in a synergistic nature are unlike any other product I have used. Integrations with JIRA are superb, robust, and reliable. The support team makes us feel like they work at our company. Idea portals allow us to engage our customer base and elicit feedback to help us build our roadmap.

Cons
Aha! is a premium product, and comes with a premium price tag. While this is an easy cost/benefit win, the cost of Aha! as a startup may be difficult to justify. Despite this, Aha! does offer a startup plan for new businesses, which turns this Con into a Pro. To my fellow startups out there working on Go-to-Market and launch, I strongly recommend reaching out to Aha! to see if they will accept you into their Startup program. Aha! is run by former Product Manager's who understand our struggle, and this program is ideal to give you the advanced tools needed to be successful with your launch.

Ability to organize, rank and manage SDLC.

Pros
We've used Aha for a few years now to manage new features of our large, waterfall-based software platform. I've used other tools that are simpler and others that are more complex/comprehensive. For me, Aha is a great middle ground that is very easy to use and modify without having being too complex to configure.

Cons
I wish the pricing was handled differently. Needing to commit to a full year of license costs before adding a new product owner to the system has made some process changes in our shop more difficult than they would have been if the pricing was more dynamic. Also, I would prefer a license that charges a smaller fee for all users rather than a large fee for each product owner. It would make it easier for me to sell system usage internally.

Pros
Having been on a long journey over the years with many different types of project/product management software solutions, none of them ever seemed to be "the one". Aha takes a different approach, and focuses on management of end-customer value that is aligned against the vision you have for your company and its products. It's the first work management platform I've used that took this holistic approach, and actually its massively empowering. I'm now able to construct high level roadmaps for complex projects that span multi-discipline teams that can be reported to all stakeholders very clearly and easily. Managing the features the team are going to focus on in a customer centric way is also great. Yes, you can use Aha for task management, but often in a product management capacity it's more important to express WHAT customer outcomes & benefits we want, and then let the team figure out HOW to deliver them. Moreover, the customer support from the Aha team is excellent, with plenty of guides not just how to use the platform, but also how to strategically tackle typical challenges that product managers face. I highly recommend Aha. It's a liberating product from a team that clearly have an awesome culture based around customer success.

Cons
Aha is a sophisticated tool that's very flexible and configurable so it takes a little while to get fluent with everything it can do, and understand the best workflow patterns with it. That said, once you find your groove it gets much easier. The support team help with that though. Pricing is also in the premium end of the market, particularly for smaller companies, but then you do tend to get what you pay for.

So far, the system has met all our major needs. Having the ability to create a private idea portal with anonymous user names was a must have option because our business needs to maintain our customers anonymity.

Pros
Aha's customer support is unmatched. Its very easy to connect with one of their experienced technical agents/product managers for troubleshooting issues or getting advice on best practices . Additionally, the platform layout is clear and linear which guides users step by step from strategy to product roadmap planning.

Product Management more useful than Project Management

Our product planning is far more organised and clear than it was previously, which has helped us focus on some areas that might not have been clear previously.

Pros
I found the product-management focus to be much more useful for us than the project management software that we tested. We have been using GitHub issues for task tracking and like that it is integrated with the development environment. While several Project Management tools are friendlier to use and more powerful for high-level consideration than GH, it's not a clear win because they lack that integration and there is no clear separation of concerns. The focus on Product Management in Aha! and the ability to link to GH issues makes it clear that product planning tasks can live in this tool, while development can continue to benefit from closing tasks with commit messages, etc.

Cons
It's another tool to use, obviously this is simultaneously a benefit and a cost.

So much easier to manage work and product roadmap- not worried about versions and keeping up with what's most current document. We all have easy access in the same place to the latest and greatest version of everything.

Pros
We have been using they typical word, excel, Visio and uploading to a SharePoint site. With Aha! we can give the enterprise visibility into all the Product work, how it supports our mission, vision and values. We no longer have to rely on our marketing team to make our roadmaps "pretty"- we can share a variety of views into our roadmaps at a moments notice. The enterprise also appreciates the ability to add suggestions, rate and comment on suggestions/ideas and can watch the suggestion/idea progress through the product lifecycle.

In this organization, the development is distributed all over the globe. The "sharing" ended up being much more important than the depth. Aha is a good fit.

Pros
Approachable: I can get started bringing value to the organization quickly. Fully Featured: As I started entering information, I found more and more features I liked! I am hoping most of my team will not need alot of training

Cons
For years I have been using my own database for release and feature management. It has grown over the years as might expect so supports releases, features, use cases, actors, stories, epics, themes, dependencies, interactions and more. Can capture risk, estimate variance, stability, traceability, etc. Aha is not a replacement for all that. There are features that are hidden away that can be difficult to find without an expert.
