What is ONLYOFFICE Docs?
ONLYOFFICE Docs is an online office suite for real-time co-authoring and document management, which is compatible with text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, fillable forms and PDF files. It also has a built-in diagram viewer which can open and visualize Visio files.
The suite is equipped with an AI assistant which enables the powerful capabilities of various AI chatbots and LLMs offered by popular AI providers (ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Mistral, Claude, Google Gemini, xAI, Groq and more) while working on their documents. Using this tool, you can get your work done faster by summarizing texts, finding keywords and synonyms, explaining unknown words and notions with comments and external links, correcting grammar and spelling mistakes, generating text content and translating it into other languages, creating images, recognizing text from images and asking the chatbot to look for the information you need. When working with PDF files, you can use OCR for PDF pages. In spreadsheets, the AI assistant help you create macros and suggest formulas for your data.
ONLYOFFICE Docs can be deployed on the private server (Enterprise Edition, Community Edition, Home Server) in combination with multiple file-sharing solutions, ECM and DMS platforms, and e-learning systems — Nextcloud, ownCloud, Alfresco, Confluence, Seafile, Odoo, Redmine, Pipedrive and others.
It can also be used in production to enable office document processing in web applications written in any language (under the Developer Edition). Alternatively, ONLYOFFICE Docs can be used as part of ONLYOFFICE DocSpace, a room-based document management solution available as a SaaS version and a self-hosted edition.
With ONLYOFFICE Docs, you can:
· Work on files, data sheets, and presentations with advanced editing and formatting features;
· Create fillable PFD forms to collect data and create contracts, and export them to various formats;
· Generate invoices and sign agreements;
· View PDF, DjVu, XPS and other publishing formats in a convenient viewer and export files to editable DOCX format;
· Edit PDF files and leave comments, annotations and drawings. Insert visual objects and edit text in your PDFs. Add, delete and rotate pages. Co-edit PDFs with other people in real time;
· View and print Visio diagrams.
Additional plugins allow extending existing functionality via third-party services like YouTube, translation engines, code and HTML converters, bibliography tools, Rainbow, Jitsi, WordPress, and others.
ONLYOFFICE Docs has maximum compatibility with MS Office formats — DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX — and supports all other popular formats such as ODF, PDF, template formats, e-books, etc.
The collaborative features of the ONLYOFFICE Docs suite include co-editing in two modes, comments with mentions, reviewing, document comparison, version and revision history.
