What is Clear Books?

Clear Books Accounting Software is an online accounting system for small businesses. Clear Books has been developed with the aim of guiding the user through day to day accounting and bookkeeping tasks and providing access to client accounts anytime and from anywhere with an Internet connection.

With Clear Books users can create professional invoices for customers and tailor invoices with the company logo and organisation details. Clear Books also provides the tools to automate invoicing and aims to save time by allowing users to set up recurring invoices to automatically create invoices.

Late payment reminders can be sent to automatically chase overdue debts. Accountants can set up automatic email reminders to notify customers who have overdue invoices. Invoices can be created within the Clear Books app and they can be viewed as HTML or saved as pdf to send to clients electronically.

Businesses can export their invoice data to view in a spreadsheet such as Microsoft Excel, and it's possible to keep customers up to date with what they owe by sending customer email statements. With Clear Books customers will gain access to a full list of their unpaid and paid invoices.

Web Based: access accounting data online, anywhere and anytime. All that is needed is an internet connection and a web browser. Access accounts on either a PC or a Mac using Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari.

Multiple users: Invite accountants, directors, trustees, shareholders, employees, and more into the Clear Books account to review and collaborate on financial data.

Data backup: data is backed up on a daily basis to safeguard against any unforeseeable disruptions. All data sent to and from the Clear Books servers is encrypted with 256-bit SSL encryption.

Explain bank transactions: use the Manage Import tool to quickly explain bank transactions and add new customers, suppliers, accounts, and projects all in one place.

The system learns: every time a bank transaction is explained Clear Books learns which VAT rate, account and customer or supplier to associate with the bank statement description. The next time a similar bank transaction needs explaining, all the transaction details are pre-filled.

Import bank statements: Quickly import bank statements so that bank transactions do not need to be entered manually.
