The way that you can use the software in a creative manner and not just as a GL program as most programs require. The flexibility of the dimensions are a key for us.
The software is fantastic. With the ability to be creative you also have to have great controls in place when you do some processes that are outside of the box type ideas.

Overall, our experience with Sage Intacct has been positive and we have seen significant improvements in the management of our finances and business operations. Reporting features have been particularly useful for improving financial transparency and making more informed decisions.
I was very satisfied with all the features offered by Sage Intacct, in particular the ease with which I was able to integrate my existing business processes. The customizable financial reports and the automatic bank reconciliation feature were also very useful for me. In terms of use, the product was easy to understand and use from the start, thanks to an intuitive user interface and practical customization options. Overall, I highly recommend Sage Intacct to any company looking for complete and easy-to-use accounting software.
Although I generally appreciate Sage Intacct, there are some features that could be improved. First of all, I found that the user interface was not as intuitive as I would have liked, which took some time to learn how to navigate the system. In addition, some features such as project management could be more complete.As for integration with my existing business processes, it was a little difficult at first. However, with the help of Sage Intacct technical support, we were able to solve the integration problems.In the end, despite these negative points, I am satisfied with the use of Sage Intacct to manage my finances and business operations.

I've been working with Intacct since 2012. At the time my firm was a close partner and I worked closely with our internal experts which gave me a great leg-up. In the last 8 years I've seen their customer service continue to spiral to non-existant, unless you want to pay double your base cost for it. Their add-ons and the basic things you need to develop a fully functioning system take your cost from 5-$50k in the blink of an eye.
Anyone with multiple locations will benefit from this platform. With some experience, the reports are extremely customizable to your exact needs as well.
Insanely expensive software, with extra fees and double dipping on the fees for every simple feature needed. The customer support can read a script and reset your password, after that they are woefully inempt if they ever get back to you. Multi-currency and consolidation are 2 seperate fees which are 3x the basecost of the software. There is no value prop here.

On our case, we focus on developing core business side then integrate with Intacct via web-service, and this have been successfully, because all side of reporting, financials, UPR, etc, is managed by Sage Intacct.
1. Sage Intacct allows access anytime and anywhere (home, office, coffee shop) 2. Sage Intacct has login are very secured with different levels. 3. Sage Intacct provide financial information on detailed level by using dimensions which allows decision makers to relay on realistic information. 4. Sage Intacct is easy to use, it doesn't requires advances financial training.
1. Extracting volume data in most of time is an issue, especially Journals.

Has a big learning curve, and some of the reporting we think is pretty standard in accounting software is not available.
Allowed us to implement approval rules for vendor expenses and has provided more transparency to our CEO about expenses.
Seems to be very inflexible when it comes to reporting, even things that we think are pretty standard from an accounting perspective, such as cash flow projections.

Good at sales, mediocre at software, poor on support
I've found the system difficult to implelemnt beyond accounting. Until recently, the accounting portion has been satisfactory.
There is a bug in the system that calculates the balance sheet incorrectly in the retained earnings section of prior years, and does not carry them correctly into the current year. So at least in some instances, it does not create a good balance sheet. Pretty terrible for an accounting system. Worse, it is a known bug that has been in the system since at least June of 2022. Worse, they did not make their customers aware. Worse still, can't get a person on the phone who can answer when it will be resolved. Or any person on the phone for that matter. Except sales. :)

Sage Intacct provides the necessary features and application to be the Accounting system for our company. We enjoy the ability for a new user to quickly pick up the layout and how the system works without too much complexity.
Some of the onboarding/setup guidance we received initially from our rep was rushed, which required us to rewind and tweak our setup. However, this varies by the individual rep and if they are up to date and knowledgeable.

The drilldown capability is great, especially being able to open other sub ledgers and systems, like Bill.com.
My favorite part is the listening to the community about new features.
Sometimes there are too many steps. The requirement to save is also frustrating because if you forget something it's painful. There should also be less navigation and less tabs.

The implementation process took place a few months ago and went very well. We were assigned a highly competent and collaborative implementation consultant that got us up and running in about 3 months.
The interface is still a little outdated in some areas (but Sage is working on updating the UI consistently throughout the program). Some interactions with the system are not as intuitive as they should be.

I like the flexibility and ease of the software. It is overall simple to correct errors. I enjoy the import features for invoices and journal entries. Saves a lot of time and is user friendly, even for less experiences computer users.
The restrictions of some features and functions. I feel like the functionality is more designed by computer programmers than by actual day to day users. For example, if you are trying to create a custom report, vendor ID is stored one way when entering invoices, and another way when entering journal entries. Customer service suggested to me that I enter the vendor ID in 2 different fields (I believe...

we were able to obtain an incredible organization of information and accounting records, as well as a true representation of the financial position of our institution, which enabled us to improve the quality of financial operations and bring the views closer together in order to make appropriate decisions.
Sage Intacct is easy to handle and performs the functions you need thanks to its easy-to-use design. I mostly use the reporting features of Sage Intacct, which offers a wide range of options for reporting and analysis, and the user-friendly interface greatly simplifies the accounting processes even for beginners. Sage Intacct can be customized to fit the nature of the financial transactions you require, which makes switching between screens very flexible. I like how the accounting records are organized, as well as scheduling payments automatically, as well as the notifications that he sends reminding the dues that have been scheduled.
In general, I have no issues about the Sage Intacct system. I wish there were shortcuts or quick links available.

Intacct allows for the creation and utilization of any fields desired for your business eliminating the need for the multitude of work-arounds necessary to create detailed reports in other accounting systems. Intacct also has the most capable custom reporting interface I have utilized to date, saving hours of time formerly spent on the extraction, transformation, and production of standard company reports. Other benefits include, ability to import any type of transaction, ability to bulk export all GL transaction data (a personal favorite), a robust API allowing for integration with internal databases, payroll software, etc.
Initial setup was led by a less experienced implementation specialist which led to difficulties as we began to review and create custom reports accurately. After speaking with a consultant, we determined the issues, corrected them, and have produced real time advanced reports which have provided a level of insight which was unachievable within other accounting software.

We have been able to set up recurring transaction to automate similar monthly/quarterly transactions, allowing us to fully operate with less human capital, and less human errors. We've been able to increase our reporting internally with many many many custom reports to suite the needs of various stakeholders. We can see investor summaries across the entire enterprise with the multi-entity structure. We utilize upload templates often to allow us ease of entry - for example, we do monthly uploads of income allocations across every entity in one root level entry done by exporting a custom report, using excel to seamlessly do an index match and hlookup to complete the upload template, then upload! It's simple, fast, and accurate.
I love the Custom Reporting capabilities through dimension use... looking at the GL as a database structure makes the software very versatile and easy to use. The output potential is outstanding!
Cost. It's a great product, but I really wish there was a light version for our company, and for other smaller companies starting up. There is a strong market for a light version. That way the company could grow into the full version.

There's some great aspects about Intacct. One of my favorites being that I can type in a formula in my DB/CR columns to calculate what numbers I should be posting. I haven't worked with a software yet that allowed me to do that. The bank recons are pretty easy and straight-forward. You can also set up very specific access permissions for an intern for example. Once you get the hang of the way it works, it really opens your eyes to how much you could really customize the software to your needs.
It took a while getting used to the software. It's VERY finicky. There are definitely some aspects that could be improved.

We transitioned from Quickbooks to Intacct because of its abiilty to handle multi-entity and inter-company transactions. This saves us hours of work each month.
The way it handles multi-entity and inter-company transactions. Simple user interface. Easy to navigate and correct entries. Great JE upload feature.
Report writer is a bit too complicated for someone not well versed in report writers. Would be great if it worked more like a pivot table. My biggest complaint is not being able to transact in the subledger directly to a bank account.

Monthly close process is completed faster with intacct. It allows us to process and approve AP seamlessly, saving us time and money by outsourcing it to Intacct. Can use the software in creative ways, not just as bookkeeping.
Intacct makes my job so much easier. It is easy to use and is very intuitive. The software can be used in creative ways and not just as standard bookkeeping software. It integrates easily with other softwares so you can link everything together. Overall it saves us time and money.
There are very few issues with the software. I have noticed that when I'm have an issue with the software it can take a little bit longer then I would expect for the problem to be resolved. We are busy people and need our programs to be running properly to get our jobs done.

Dashboard, import and export.
We chose this software to work with other existing software and it did not disappoint. We also selected this for that ability to incorporate statistical information with our financial information and create dashboards to share information internally.
There isn't really anything at this point that has caused problems or limitations. The only issue is when you export to Excel it does not use the latest version.

Sage Intacct helps my company to grow, so I am very glad to use this software.
Sage really helps my business to grow! The features are very easy and intuitive. Inventory management is amazing for companies that really need high inventory management, so is possible to track products and know where they are in real time.
The only cons that can be spotted are the price of the plans. It could be a nice idea to reduce the prices for new companies or small-one, so more people can afford these amazing solutions.

Gosh what do we not love! It does everything, the reports are so customizable, and everyone who works there is awesome!
What I personally do not like about Intacct is there is no way to see imports that are being uploaded in the queue. Sometimes I upload the same file twice and Intacct doesn't recognize it and I have duplicate files.

Ability to run our accounting processes with an easy to maintain product.
UI is good. Ease of maintenance. General ease of use. Functionality is adequate and improving. Like the newly develop Contracts module, though pricing was wrong and made our purchase difficult.
Reporting package needs help. Have heard and seen hope for better functionality, but have yet to see delivery. Fearful that advanced reporting will be an option, which would not be good! Detailed TB is getting out of control with unnecessary attachment of dimensions to balance sheet accounts. Need to find a way to turn that off (hopeful it can be done).

The open platform allows us to choose best in breed solutions across the company and then integrate it all together to reflect financials and reporting.
If you don't know what you're doing or have a good trainer, it may take a little while to get familiar with the navigation.

Overall, my experience has been positive. The Sage user community is active and we’ve been able to get support when we need it and the online how-tos and cheat sheets are very helpful.
It is a robust software that offers a lot of opportunities to streamline monthly accounting. The reporting functionality is excellent and has enabled us to automate our monthly reporting to Budget Managers and send out the relevant reports via email. It also offers the ability to build our regular allocations and not have to do massive journal entries every month to close the books.
The editing features of the software can’t always be used, and it is hard to understand what is editable and what is not.
