Pros

That all initial facets of making a booking are on the one screen until you need to take payment and send emails or print which makes it easy to use and teach. Support is second to none, especially [SENSITIVE CONTENT] who understands not only the system but its purpose.

Cons

I'm not keen when the owner wants to change to another programs simply for cost purposes

My favourite channel manager is present in RMS Cloud

RMS Cloud works as promised and all functionas are quite ok and helpful for our operations. Customer service is above expectations and it is easy to understand the whole system however more OTA integrations are essential.

Pros

As a hotel manager who used nearly the all considerable multiple channel management platforms in the industry, RMS Cloud's channel manager is by far the best one in terms of the functions it provides and the usability. The orientation period of RMS Cloud to the staff that I worked with was really low and they could use it like an expert after 40 minutes of training.

Cons

Altough functions are working great, the number of OTA integrations is still low and needs to be increased. Additionally more languages and the currencies should be supported in management panel which is essential for multi-national operating hotels with multi-national staff like ours.

All-rounder PMS Software with fantastic online channel integration and automation

Overall RMS has increased our efficiency, after some initial adjustments during the integration phase. The comprehensive reporting capabilities provide valuable insights quickly and easily, and the online 2-way integration cuts down manual booking input and admin considerably, along with the payment gateway integration for processing payments. Will definitely recommend to other Serviced Apartment providers looking for a modern, cloud-based PMS with efficient channel integrations and customisation options for various setups.

Pros

The best part about the software is having everything in the one place to create, confirm, and process bookings including sending correspondence accessible anywhere from any device. The ability to connect an online payment gateway has greatly increased productivity and efficiency to allow staff to process payments quickly and easily without leaving their desk. The online channel connection is seamless and has reduced a lot of manual staff input for OTA reservations.

Cons

While the integration team have been great, there are still a few things we require to be able to satisfy our full accounting reporting requirements quickly and efficiently for our business set up. Granted, it does differ to some other properties, however we do require a few enhancements for this to be efficient for us. The online booking engine, while cost effective and easy to use is quite limited and does not do much to compete with OTA's to enhance the property's direct bookings - this is potential room for enhancement.

Review of RMS Ultra Lite

I have found that RMS is incredibly capable but not so user friendly from my home with the desk top PC. With my laptop it has most often been when we are overseas and then the system has given me major headaches. The solutions are often there but much of the information inside FAQ's, for example, isn't aimed at users who are not using the full version.

Pros

The relatively low cost is its best benefit.

Cons

I have never considered the RMS system to be as "user friendly" as the systems that I had previously used. Perhaps it's simply the Ultra Lite version, whch RMS no longer want to support, but the cost structure of the next step up (RMS Lite) is far too great for me.

Pretty good

Pros

For the most part it’s good. Have had some issues in the past that took a while to work out. Now things are better.

Cons

It’s a little difficult to use fir people that are nit the best on the computer and to get training you must pay more. And it’s expensive.

We still think it is among the best overall platforms available.

Pros

Flexible program that has lots of features like dynamic pricing and interface with online travel agents. Lots of reports available for management. Relatively easy to train staff through RMS University.

Cons

Too many setting options that are not used in United States, such as tax types used only in certain countries. The language has too much Australian influence which makes terminology challenging. The knowledge base help section is getting better, but also still has a ways to go to eliminate the need to contact tech support. As users, we get used to all these things, but the learning curve was a bit steep, and it is ongoing.

The best part of operating in the hospitality cloud is having piece of mind knowing that all data is safe & secure with RMS, & no software back ups are required RMS takes care of it all freeing up value time for Management to get on with running their operation in the busy accommodation & tourism industry. RMS Software is excellent for the accommodation industry the extremely large data base is a must for repeat Guests to offer a more personal experience & is also a great security tool for keeping track of problem Guests.

RMS Is an Excellent choice in Hospitality & Property Management

Pros

Flexibility and feature set that suits our property's needs. We have researched other products but no one else offers the same functionality as RMS, and many standard RMS features are at an additional cost with other software providers.

Cons

Occasionally customer service is unable to answer a question or assist us to our complete satisfaction, but that is very rare. Sometimes software updates will modify features or cause small bugs that we have to wait on further updates to fix, again, this is fairly uncommon.

Decent system

This is my first OS coming from pencil-in-a-book, so it's a lot easier to find and adjust bookings now. I find it quite expensive, but I'm only comparing that to the fact that my previous system was free - I'm not sure how it compares to other booking systems on the market.

Pros

Very streamlined with various ways of finding bookings. Setup is still in motion but I can still use it which is useful as I can figure out kinks and adjust as we go.

Cons

About halfway through my training the system got an overhaul so I had to re-learn a lot of what I thought I knew.

Pros

Automation and Flexibility are so important. I can change the software to fit our company and not the other way around. Having the ability to change menus and pricing myself means the only thing slowing down my company is me.

Cons

When saving tickets, it takes 3 to 5 seconds, that's a lot of time for small-talk with customers. To print a receipt it can take another 30 seconds just to start printing. Time better spent helping other customers

RMS organises everything in one place

I have used RMS at numerous Quest properties on and off for 10 plus years and RMS is easy to use and simple enough to train to new team members. We love it!!

Pros

The Help you actually receive @ the help desk. They are always polite, helpful and follow through with calling you back if need be. Excellent Customer Service!!

Cons

Cost - cheaper monthly fees would be ideal

We love RMS

Amazing customer service, easy system to use and the price is great

Pros

The best part about RMS is the 'owner accounting' We manage multiple holiday homes owned by different owners and the reports you are able to generate are very useful

Cons

It would be great if the backend system was easier to use on a mobile phone but we understand this would be very complex

Works well with booking.com, expedia etc for managing bookings with no double ups or any issues. Easy to use and to keep track of everything

Cons

Tariffs can be a bit confusing when using with OTA's but that's a small price to pay for flexibility.

Pros

I had researched a lot of systems to help us run our motel, on our wish list: PMS, channel manager, trust accounting, local support and a crm. Although the RMS platform has a basic crm (or rather marketing module) he rest of the system is unreal. The smart management of rates, channels and property saves us a bucket load of time. If you spend the time understanding the platform, the results are unreal.. Their support crew are the best.. We thought our last PMS was good, these guys are a level beyond and it's all included in their package price. Great value for money.

Cons

The CRM and marketing is a little basic, bu we realise this is relatively new and cannot wait to see the upgrades come through for this.

It is a great value software that offers and does the most job however some specific features are not available that we have requested that we hope is being addressed.

Very easy to implement and use - great customer service and self help resources.

Pros

The software is highly adaptable to almost any type of hotel operation. It was very easy to set up and our implementation specialist, Tommy, was very helpful throughout the entire process. The OpenEdge payment integration was also very simple. We have already seen a positive ROI on our investment, which was very affordable to begin with.

Cons

We are still very new to the software, but so far I do not have anything that stands out as not meeting our organizations needs.

Easy to access from anywhere on the internet. Customizable maps and color schemes.

Cons

Very complex. Cumbersome group reservations. Basics are fine, but when you need to extend a reservation or move it part way through the timeframe the financial calculations get messed up. Very complex daily report. Best for an accrual basis accounting system setup. Updating pricing can be very complex. Sales tax reporting is challenging.

Total waste!

Product seemed useful and affordable, however, once you start to train with them and invest your time, they will start to quote you for additional charges. they quoted us at the beginning, after spending one month for training, they constantly keep charging my business credit card and I HAD TO PUT A DISPUTE AND stop future charges. !

Cons

IT DOES NOT WORK WITH APPLE PRODUCT !!! WATCH OUT!!
