CIPHR overview

CIPHR, one of the UK's largest HR SaaS providers, has been meeting the HR needs of users for more than 30 years, serving organisations, small businesses, charities, and public sector bodies.

The range of HR tools provide users with the ability to manage employees from recruitment and on-boarding, to training and development. In addition, the software provides a range of tools for employee self-service. Employees can manage their own personal information, benefits and provide training feedback. Employers and HR staff can automate training and on-boarding processes, identify development opportunities and incentivize current staff, as well as to attract new talent and track applicants.

The reporting features of CIPHR give users detailed insight into payroll, attendance and finance. Integrated graphs and customizable reports help users analyze how key data interacts with one another and help spot patterns and trends.

Orgplus, an organisational charting solution, gives users charting tools, visual reports, self service analytics and modelling tools, which allow users to visualise and analyse organisational structure. It can be used to provide employees with access to public charts such as staff directories, absence information or organisation hierarchy.

Everything seems to be an Extra cost

Definitely allows us to provide more detailed management information but has not taken away a lot of the time consuming admin burden due the cost issues around all the additional modules. We found the initial training and implementation rushed and not overly user friendly. If this is your first HR Management system ensure you do your research very thoroughly.From the sales talk everything looked perfect. It was only when it came to the post implementation stage that we realised what wasn't included or was an additional cost. This has limited our use of the system. Help desk are generally good and supportive although a little slow on responding with a final solution.

As rapidly growing company we recognised that using Excel documents and paper was not sustainable. We went out a number of companies but shortlisted CIPHR due to the cultural fit that we felt as team was best suited to us. We wanted to be able to give our staff and managers the freedom to be able to manage their work life as they needed to without having to run everything by HR - the self service function has enabled this and within the first day of our launch we had over 90 employees log in and make changes to their records. All in all a brilliant system and is valued by those that use it! Tech support are fantastic - all issues are resolved within 24 hours and the teams knowledge is incredible. The on-boarding functionality that we have recently launched for all new joiners have proved to be incredibly valuable and really helping to start their journey with us once they have have been recruited. System is super easy to use and if you are looking to have a system that when pulled out of the box can do everything you need it to but can be customised as and when you need then look no further.

User friendly system, adaptable and can grow/ develop with the business. Ideal for businesses that may not have the IT infrastructure in place and who would require Computers in Personnel to host the system.

Allow employees to help themselves by uploading and updating their own information, such as change of address; gaining access to personal information, such as holiday left over; as well as having access to company information, such as handbooks, newsletters and company news.
Employees can upload documents such as photographs, medical certificates, CVs and expense claims.
Users can track and record all employee-related data from personal information, to payments and overtime, training and qualifications, time-off and holiday.
The Process Assistant help to design workflows for training new hires, users can also get a quick overview of their workforce's skills and qualifications to identify training needs.
Automate training processes such as joining instructions, online booking, providing feedback and updating qualifications.
Employee`s can see an overview of their benefits and have self-service access to their benefits list. They can see their total remuneration and get a consolidated statement of the monetary value of their benefits package.
Use the Orgplus integration, an organisational charting solution to improve workforce visibility, includes ‘what-if’ scenarios and employee access to public charts.
ExpenseOnDemand (EOD) can be used for expense administration and processing. It includes all payment types, such as cash, credit cards or corporate fuel cards, and can be converted into multiple currencies.
