Kronos WFR has helped streamline timekeeping, and we hope to use more Payroll functions soon.

Pros

Kronos WFR is a great product to combine major HR functions, like the employee database, timekeeping and payroll functions, and performance reviews/employee management.

Cons

Sometimes reports are hard to figure out, but if you open a case with Customer Service they can typically create a custom report if needed.

Kronos - an excellent HCM software

These problems were all resolved by employing Kronos Workforce Ready as our central point of data storage and data management.

Pros

The recruitment features are an excellent asset as it allows applicants to create a profile while applying in which makes hiring the applicant a breeze with the click a a button.

Cons

You are tasked with real manual work whenever it comes to uploading hours for employees as there is currently no mass edit option available to apply hours across the board to all selected employees, instead you must load all selected employees into the bucket and scroll through them one by one and apply the credit and whatever other in formations are required to be filled in.

Most Comprehensive System on the Market

My organization started with WFR's HR and TML. Employees, managers and administrators were impressed with the ease of use, the robust amount of information at their finger tips and the reporting capabilities.

Pros

Managers can access employment history, process compensation changes, approve timesheets and upload and review current and previous performance reviews.

Cons

The reporting functions in WFR are robust but each organization has specific reports required by leadership.

Kronos is a great time management system for employees, with clock in functions using finger print, eye print, and online access for punching in it really allows for consumers to track their employees work easily.

It is very easy to use for creating your own reports and importing data. We couldn't be more pleased with how they helped us work through our custom profit sharing allocation.

Timekeeping is easy - reporting is more difficult

Employee record maintenance is quite simple as is timekeeping and timesheet management.

Cons

Not only did it keep time, but it allowed us to keep employee records (coaching/counselling etc.) besides just attendance in one place that was accessible to those who needed access.

Overall the program is very good but there is still room for improvement

document storage, web based, customer support, custom forms, tracking and reports, timekeeping rules are flexible and easily set, announcement feature

Cons

checklists and workflows are too complicated, security settings for users require staff to have access to cellphone or email, no way for employees to sign incidents, mobile app needs improving for manager use

The deduction start dates are frustrating; you cannot enter a start date that might be during the time that the previous pay period is still open.

Pros

The Employee Self Service Portal is easy to use.

Cons

There is no troubleshooting ability; when you get an error message the system does not give you an explanation of the error or suggestions on what could be causing it.

Streamline all aspects of employee time-keeping in one application!

Since implementing and fully utilizing Kronos our staffing models have been better aligned with the business needs at each of our sites & held employees more accountable because this gives them a visual representation of punches that are "out of line" (tardy, unexcused absence, late out, etc).

Pros

We have built our program to send notifications directly to management so that they can then handle "issues" as needed.

Cons

Our organization did all of this internally, may be easier/quicker if utilizing Kronos for this.

However, the headaches and frustrations that my team encounters (and employees utilizing the employee-self-service feature), outweigh the positives.

Pros

Cloud-based system, great Kronos support/community, employee self-service, ease of submitting a tech issue case.

Cons

- Seems everything I need WFR to do requires a "request for enhancement" - The things I need, that are unable to be accommodated, are very basic: file uploads being able to be sorted by ABC instead of date, running a report that has all Open Enrollment data that I need in one query (requiring manual review/combination of two separate reports), trend analysis, workflows allowing attachments (to digitize accounting functionality / check requests, etc.).

Great Report Flexibility and Data on Screens

Kronos Community has been very helpful and the response I get when I open a case is very good.

Pros

Removing our IT Dept for updates and reporting; getting updates automatically.

Cons

It is difficult to make changes to employee accruals.

Scheduling Made Easy

The hours must be approved by a member of management at the end of the week in order to determine payroll and the corporate office receives them easily.

Pros

This program contains everything the business needs to schedule employees, track time, and also contains profiles on each employee so management can find numbers and contact information easily.

Cons

The program has a glitch when running it and causes the user to accept and run every time. This added task takes time.
