iContact is a very user friendly product for anyone. My company sends thousands of emails a week and we are always very pleased with how easy it is to create an email and send it immediately. I also really enjoy the dashboard, it helps me keep track knowing what emails have been sent and what emails I have yet to send. i also appreciate that iContact technology can delete any duplicate people in a contact list. That saves me time from having to go through thousands of people making sure I don't have any duplicates. My customer support is also amazing. My iContact rep. is always so good about getting back to me when I have questions or concerns.
Sometimes when I am creating a contact list in iContact, I have several excel sheets I need to upload to that one contact list...iContact doesn't let me select multiple excel sheets to upload at once, I have to do one at a time which takes a lot of extra time for me to do. I also wish I could delete more than one contact list at once. On the "upload contact" box, I want to be able to see the whole title of my contact list. Sometimes iContact cuts off my list title if it's too long, I would like to see the whole title...
Hi Lauren! We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback. Our support team loves helping companies like HireLive who make such a tremendous positive impact. As for the concerns you raised about list uploading, we are taking all product improvement comments very seriously and are working to continually improve our product. We currently do allow you to have 5 concurrent uploads at any given time, but you must start the uploads one at a time. And you are correct, we cannot upload multiple sheets from one excel file. We have noted this potential feature, along with multiple list deletion, and title expansion ¿ and we realize its importance. Thank you again and have a great day!
We've had to contact support a couple of times and they have been helpful. The level we purchased isn't a comprehensive marketing solution. But we came back to it after having trouble with ClickDimensions, it actually works better.
When I want to send out an email, I go into my list of prior emails, make changes, and send. It's very easy. It has all of the functionality we need for sending out bulk emails.
The editor is a bit clunky. It does take a bit of time to create a new email format. Sometimes it doesn't behave like it is supposed to. But once you save that new format you can use it over and over.

iContact is a low cost solution for basic email marketing. You have access to a strategic advisor. My strategic advisor always provides thorough answers and/or solutions when requested. iContact offers automation with workflows that are easy and quick to build. The user interface is easy to understand.
The response time to fix API issues can be slow. iContact does not offer a post unsubscribe survey. I'm not able to download user profile information when exporting email send statistics - this is important for me when I want to do a quick analysis on my data.
Thank you very much for being a long time iContact customer! We are happy to hear that you have been able to quickly and easily design automations with workflows using your iContact Pro account. We like this feature so much we plan to make it available to all iContact accounts. Thank you as well for your feedback, particularly about adding a post unsubscribe survey. This is being shared with our Product Management team so that it can be reviewed for possible updates in a future release.
There are other more-integrated models that make work more efficient. I would recommend those models instead of iContact. The features all work, but applications like Network for Good make things easier, faster, more efficient for me.
Things worked fine. If you don't use the software frequently, it can be hard to master. I wish the layout was a bit easier to work with, but it is not terrible. The platform does what it says it can do in the advertising.
I had to double enter a lot of info with my fundraising software and then to i-contact. There was a lack of integration that I found frustrating. Leaving iContact was a pain also. My organization signed a contract for annual subscription, so I assumed we would have to re-upp at the end of each year. That is pretty typical. It turned out though, the fine print of the contract says that customers must specifically put in a cancellation in writing. Even though the charity I worked with started using another service, iContact demanded payment for a period of time after we had made the switch. I personally found that in poor taste. Other subscription models I am familiar with don't do that. Be better than that, iContact.

You can allow this program to deal with emails instead of answering each on yourself. It's really a wonderful program and a huge help with your email returns. Your customers will appreciate it.
After your subscribers fill out their initial application, icontact goes to work. I like that it can be busy contacting people while you are busy elsewhere. It's easy to use, but the customer support is there if you need it. The prices are competitive with other likewise sites.
It's better for the medium or high volume businesses. Smaller businesses might not see the full abilities for this program.

Almost anyone can send an email, but it takes more power under the hood to create, send, and track the types of targeted emails that drive customer action and generate real sales. iContact is web-based software that everyone from small businesses to large senders can use to manage all aspects of their email marketing programs.
In addition to allowing for the easy creation of email newsletters, RSS feeds, surveys, and auto-responders, iContact helps business users grow and manage contacts, and segment their digital contact lists. Custom fields, mail-merge personalization, and website sign-up forms can all be used to promote a business. iContact is completely scalable, and it boasts an email delivery rate of 99 percent. This is, at least in part, because any contact who unsubscribes from an iContact list, or signs up with an invalid address, is automatically removed.
iContact is a powerful email marketing platform for businesses, nonprofits and educational institutions.. Easy-to-understand technology enables users with all levels of technical skill to create persuasive email messages using templates or HTML. List management tools keep growing email lists in check, while iContact’s Spamcheck tool reviews each message to ensure it reaches its desired destination. Users can gain a better understanding of how their email lists are performing by reviewing their Reports, which iContact generates automatically using the data it collects from ongoing marketing campaigns.
Beyond basic email marketing, iContact also provides a number of advanced solutions for growing businesses. iContact Pro is changing the way small, mid-size, and even large businesses think about marketing automation. iContact Pro users have the ability to schedule triggered messages that are uniquely tailored to each contact. The app offers a drag-and-drop interface. Businesses with high-volume sending needs can take advantage of iContact’s capabilities, easily managing 5 million+ subscribers.
iContact offers a straightforward way for users to design stylish emails without having to know any HTML. The software’s email templates are professional looking and completely modifiable. Templates are all designed in a way that maximizes personal branding.
To design your first email, check out the template selection and choose the option that best meets your needs. You can quickly modify any template to change the layout, color palette, or overall styling. Individual sections, or blocks, each have their own formatting. You can save any message that you design to reuse at a later time, as well.
It doesn’t matter how nicely a message is designed without a list of subscribers to send it to. iContact provides a robust list management feature with various tools to help users manage their growing subscriber lists.
To keep your list of subscribers organized, make sure to include the correct recipient name and company name for each contact. (This is especially true if you’re collecting email addresses at trade shows or networking events.) iContact will remove duplicates or invalid email addresses for you, and it will give you the option of whether to remove email addresses after the first bounce, or delivery failure notice.
With iContact, businesses can schedule automated emails to be delivered over time, rather than all at once. Autoresponders, or triggered emails, help to deepen customer relationships by providing subscribers with more relevant content. The autoresponder feature comes most frequently into play when users want to set up “Welcome” campaigns, abandoned cart emails, or transaction messages.
Autoresponders are most commonly used in “Welcome” campaigns. When someone subscribes to your list, automatically send a message introducing your company. At that point, you can set up a drip campaign to continue sending emails at regular intervals in order to familiarize the new subscriber with your company or your products.
Segmentation can make any email list stronger. The more a business knows about its subscribers, the deeper it can go with list segmentation. For example, instead of sending blanket emails to every subscriber, a business could segment its list and send a certain email newsletter only to those customers who had indicated that they were interested in a particular product or service.
Go beyond demographics when segmenting your campaigns. Although iContact gives you the ability to segment by gender or age, you can also use past purchasing behavior to improve the results of your campaigns. Custom entries ensure that your segmentation is unique, based on your company’s goals. For example, with iContact you can segment your lists by general interest, which is useful if you know that a certain subset of your customers are interested in a sport like golf or basketball.
iContact integrates with a number of popular third-party apps and services, including Twitter, WordPress, and Facebook.
In particular, iContact offers native integration with Salesforce. Users can send email messages to Salesforce contacts, after which iContact brings all relevant marketing statistics into the Salesforce platform to determine whether leads are moving in the right direction. iContact for Salesforce is not subscriber-based. Users can immediately send messages to everyone in their databases. Entire teams can leverage the statistics from company email campaigns from the same Salesforce reporting screens.
iContact has an open API that integrates with numerous business applications including analytics, social and commerce functionalities.
iContact offers high-volume email marketing at a price point that is affordable to businesses of all sizes. Email marketing starts at $14 per month, or $11.90 per month with annual prepay. Pro Automation starts at $99 per month, or $84.15 with annual prepay.
