Ordoro Features In Depth

Multichannel Order Management

There are various ways you can sell your products online: ecommerce stores, your website, eBay, Amazon, Etsy, Facebook, Pinterest, comparison sites – the list goes on. While this is good news, taking orders from many different channels can be a pain, particularly considering the back-office responsibilities associated with each sale.

Ordoro’s multichannel order management system consolidates your orders from different channels, splits orders into multiple shipments, and keeps track of what’s happening with each order as it goes through the fulfillment cycle. Orders are automatically imported from Ordoro-supported sales channels, but over-the-phone orders can be entered as well.

Shipping

Ordoro connects with UPS, FedEx, Canada Post, and USPS where users get discounted rates. The app ensures all shipping addresses are valid, and tracking numbers are reported back to customers. Ordoro has a rate check functionality that allows you to compare shipping rates across all your shippers before creating a shipping label.

It also supports batch shipping, so you save not just time but money through commercial shipping rates. From the Shipments page, select the orders you want shipped and click Create Labels. Complete the shipping details, and Ordoro then syncs your shipper to generate, and then print, the shipping labels.

To speed up the shipping process, Ordoro has a shipping rules function that enables you to set up automation logic based on a customer’s choice of shipping method. For example, for standard shipping, orders are automatically shipped via USPS.

Unified Inventory Management

Inventory management is tricky business, more so if you’re managing multiple stores and channels. Ordoro’s unified inventory management feature aggregates your inventory across multiple sales channels and ensures inventory quantities stay in sync. It tracks inventory changes as orders are received and products are replenished, and pushes out updated information to all your stores.

Ordoro also employs a kitting engine that lets you package your products into kits. The batch supplier setup function allows you to add new suppliers straight from the Products page and assign several products to a supplier. To restock, you will only need to click on “order more” and purchase orders can be sent out from within Ordoro. The goods receipts associated with each purchase order automatically updates your inventory.

Business Analytics and Reporting

Ordoro’s business analytics and reporting feature provides actionable insights into your operations. Metrics tracked include:

  • sales and profitability by brand, channel, or date range
  • shipping efficiency metrics, such as actual time to ship orders out, and shipping costs incurred versus charged
  • inventory stats, including costs on top-selling items so you know which products to put up on sale
  • top-selling products
  • and even your top customers per channel or date range

This feature is available for Pro customers with plans at $199 per month and above.

Dropshipping

Ordoro's dropshipping management feature simplifies the entire dropshipping process by routing orders, or parts of orders, directly to vendors for fulfillment. It automates order routing and supports both single-order and batch dropshipping.

To get started, assign your products to your supplier partners. As you process orders in Ordoro, the app then recognizes which orders are for dropshipping and automatically forwards them to the supplier. Suppliers then receive an email instructing them to ship products to a customer.

Cons

When I type a customer name, it saves the data and populates fields automatically, but I'd like to save changes and have control over what it future populates for easy reorder management.

Overall, Ordoro is the best program out there for your growing business, it allows growth through dropshipping, inhouse shipping, it also uses a dashboard to keep track of daily sales, shipping costs, total orders, monthly sales, and the most sold item.

Pros

Ordoro's customer service should be the model that more business' use. They have terrifically accomplished technical support and the team members, to whom I've spoken, are polite, helpful, and knowlegeable beyond the normal standard that I usually see. Bravo, to Ordoro!

Cons

Their advanced features, like the inventory or PO features, which come with higher priced versions are not available to the smaller users as they are a bit cost prohibitive.

Orders come from all over the world, thru the company website into our Ordoro site, after which the orders are processed, pick lists created, invoices/packing lists generated, inventory managed, and shipping labels printed.

Pros

There are so many features that create a smooth work flow pattern - they include importing orders from our e-carts, creating all the paperwork necessary for picking, packing, and shipping, including international orders.

Paul, Thank you for the detailed review. Here are my comments.

Kits: We understand this corner-case you mention. Ordoro's kit calculations round up. So, if you are low on inventory, the rounding error may show one unit left when you have only a 'fractional' unit left. We are fixing this in the next version of kitting.

Customer Support: I agree there are some things you need a help ticket for. But as you know, we respond to these requests within the same day, if not within minutes. We offer unlimited phone support because we know our users sometimes stretch the product beyond what it is built to do. Unlimited phone support is also our way of identifying new features.

Pricing: You fit in the $199 plan based on high usage (multiple channels, advanced features like kits, large number of SKUs). Thank you for being an Ordoro customer for this past year.

IT takes a little time to setup, but after setting up - it is fantastic.

Pros

Creating shipping labels from different carriers and printing them and then the software goes one step further and updates our eCommerce platform with the tracking numbers.

Cons

One improvement would be the final step in the process and this would be obtaining the tracking information from the vendors the purchase orders are pushed with a call and push back into the eCommerce platform.

Ordoro is scalable and easy to use.

Pros

The product is easy to use, scalable, and the API works great with our web application.

Cons

Shipping is often unpredictable and carriers can sometimes be not so reliable. We have asked for the ability to see when packages are taking too long to be delivered so that we can get in front of any customer service issues. This requires software development to ping all of the carriers on their end. Hopefully that is coming soon.

There were definitely some big name guys out there that I considered, but at the end of the day, I went with Ordoro and I'm so glad I did! I would highly recommend Ordoro to anyone else looking for a fulfillment app for their business.

Good software or the order process and the inventory tracking

Pros

Very easy to use, and you can see in one sec which are the unshipped orders to process all orders in time.

Cons

There is a problem with the sync/integration I think as it sometimes takes too much time to synchronize orders with the website/Amazon: it shows up after 10 minutes, or you have to manually update the orders.
