All customer locations being mislabel During import into Quickbooks customer name and location information fields merged rendering Google Maps unusable.

Pros

World class technical support, one of the best I have ever worked with, they obviously know the product, and when they need to follow up, they have some of the best time to answer rates I have seen.

Cons

Expensive Inability to import data accurately Generates more work than it alleviates.

Speaking generically here. Make a list of what you want the software to do. Then make a list of how it should do it. For example “Must connect to 3rd party system” would be followed by “Must not alter existing data” “Must not require changes to 3rd party system to work” Establish criteria for success for each piece of the software. Do not move forward until those are met If a company wants to charge you a large setup fee, ask them to break it up over several months so that you can be sure that your needs are being met. It would be great if Service Titan had a custom report generator so you could pull the information you are looking for on the fly.

Not good for time and materials billing, multi day jobs require a new job each day and an invoice for each

Premium product with a lot of glitches

Time savings have been gobbled up in dealing with duplicate records caused by glitches in the exporting and numerous other minor issues that add up to be very frustrating.

Pros

The phone integation and tracking of dispatchers performance is very unique and very helpful.

Cons

navigating the software from entering a call down to recording the invoice and exporting to your accounting system is just downright time consuming and frustrating.

Service Titan Rocks!

Service Titan has enabled us to grow in ways we didn't know were possible. With data tracking, a better selling platform, more efficient call booking, and a very easy to use system, we couldn't be happier.

Do your research. Demo products. Use them on a test basis with real world scenarios. Make your decision based on what the product can do for you and your future. If a software provider does not offer you a free trial period with full access it isn't worth buying.

No on-site storage of data, can access from any device, multiple user capable, somewhat intuitive interface

Cons

The cost is a bit high, but a necessary evil. Reasonable value for the price. Constantly evolving so this makes a up a bit for the price

We never made it past the setup phase with Service Titan. There are many people happy with the functionality of the product. My concern is more to do with pricing and customer service.

Cons

Pros

Learning curve was minimal for my team to overcome. 45 days in we are really comfortable with the product and still learning the features as the product is really robust. Reporting is broad enough to accomplish our needs in tracking performance and metrics.

Cons

Software conversion of data was a bit tough to work through but the Titan team stayed the course.

We looked at a lot of options for over a year and decided this to be the best software on the market place. Was not crazy about the price and cloud based format but quite honestly all software companies are moving to hosted cloud base operating systems. Remember there is not an accounting function to this software but the exporting to quickbooks is smooth. I would not let the accounting function of this program make the decision for me. Service Titan is hands down the best system on the market for dispatching, field invoicing and technician management.

Hands down an amazing product with an amazing support staff!

Pros

The tracking and reporting of every detail is impecable, and they are always making things better.

Cons

They recently launched an app s well, that allows field techs to work offline, so they definitely have their bases covered, even under the scary uncertainty of all cloud based systems.

For over a year I researched multiple products like this. Many required paying thousands of dollars up front for a desktop software system that claimed to have many of the same bells and whistles as ST. Most had their own accounting system programed into the software, but the problem I have with software like this was #1 the total up front cost & #2 is that eventually it gets outdated and will need to be upgraded requiring even more money. While Service Titan isn't cheap, it's forever evolving with the needs of the consumer without added upgrade fees. While transitioning between software is never fun, Service Titan makes it a lot less painful.

Working out the Kinks

Pros

We don't need separate call tracking, marketing tracking, employee tracking.

Cons

Furthermore, we have no real way to delete jobs, so unless our techs go through and manually complete each one they are assigned to, even if the client didn't actually have work done, jobs show up and clutter their pages.

Pros

Brings the service industry into the 21st century! When it works, it works very very well.

Cons

Call box delays have been persistent since we started using it in roughly June 2014, and after contacting them multiple times (including higher-ups in management), the issue was somewhat resolved, but still ongoing as of Dec. 2016.

Pros

The mobile version allows your techs to dispatch themselves, update the invoices, collect the payment, run credit cards.

Cons

Sometimes there is trouble syncing data and you need to wait but Service Titan has even come up with a Mobile App now so that you can work from the App even if there is no wifi service.

Obviously it depends on your type of business to determine if this is a right fit for you. I am in the service business and provide a service in the customer's home. My techs are able to see up to date information on the customer and the job history. The office sees real time invoicing as the invoice is being built. This helps to determine time frames needed to help plan the schedule. We can get alerts when a job is sold or not sold or a call is not booked. All of this helps you be proactive in your business.
