User opinions about Microsoft Word price and value

Value for money rating:

Of 266 reviews that provide robust commentary on Microsoft Word's price and value, 39% mention it in a positive light.

Some reviewers find Microsoft Word to be a valuable tool for documentation and editing, praising its extensive features and user-friendly interface. They appreciate that students and some users can access it for free or at a reduced cost through educational institutions or special deals. Users also value the comprehensive functionality and reliability of Word, even though it comes with a higher price tag compared to some competitors.

However, many users express concerns about the cost of Microsoft Word, noting that it is expensive, especially when compared to free alternatives like Google Docs, OpenOffice, and LibreOffice. Some reviewers dislike the subscription-based model, preferring a one-time purchase option. They also mention that the software can be complex and resource-intensive, which may not justify the high price for all users. Additionally, some users feel that the forced integration with other Microsoft services and the need for a stable internet connection can be inconvenient. Overall, while Microsoft Word is recognized for its quality and features, its cost is a significant drawback for many users.

“So talking about the things i don't like about MS word are that first of all it is a bit expensive because we have a lot of other software providing same features for free or at very low cost. And the other thing to point out is that MS have gives a lot of features which also makes the app complex and most of the features remains unused by general people.”

Integration rating: 4.8 (117)

Microsoft Office only includes essentials like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, OneNote, and Skype and doesn’t come with any storage space in OneDrive and you don’t get access to the online versions of apps like Word, Excel, and Powerpoint however Microsoft 365 includes 1 TB of free storage and you can easily edit all your files online includes virtually every app Microsoft has developed, including newer ones like Microsoft Teams, Editor, and Money in Excel.

Within a school district that has Office 365 and OneDrive access, Microsoft Word speaking with these programs is essential. This allows me the chance to upload work safely to the cloud, students to have work they can access anywhere, easy collaboration and commenting, and also opportunities to build digital literacy and skills for future jobs for my students.

365 makes it simple to integrate documents into the other applications it offers. From Outlook to Excel, you will need each application to easily work together to share important information in a timely fashion.

Having Microsoft 365 containing all the Microsoft office function both on PCs and mobile phone has been very helpful creating all kind of documents needed for the organization with ease.

Microsoft 365 comes with Online Document storage and stack of software like excel and power point presentations for my document generation needs and one note for quick note making needs

It is not required, but integrating Word with Microsoft 365 provides additional functionality and automation that the stand-alone product can not achieve on its own.

If you’re a professional, in any field, you need at least one of these applications to be successful. It’s the best collection of productivity tools out there!

Allows me to integrate all my files from various Microsoft platforms efficiently, allowing for easy access to my documents with a good amount of storage.

You can't use Microsoft Word effectively if you don't have a Windows operating system... MS 365 is mobile friendly and the best one to use with MS Word

Working with Word benefits from using Excel and Powerpoint on the side as each program has its own special features that are easy to combine.

There are a whole set of products working together, for example you want to write on word and to build tables on excel

Helps to access devices anywhere and everywhere in just one click. Centralised sharing is also a plus plus.

I was actually looking for the Microsoft outlook option, I think the two softwares work well together.

Office 365 makes Word a great collaboration tool. Office365 and Word work together very well.

This is my Microsoft whole-system management, MS Word is part of that system for me.

Microsoft 365 is perfect to integrate with Word, putting files all together simply.

Allows for collaboration with entire 365 suite of products that boosts productivity

Overall, Word works really well with 365, which is important for document storage.

i used a lot of softwares so, i need to be able to addapt softwars to the task

It is obvious that M365 is a complete "office" ecosystem and is also a must.

Direct mail creation is essential to communicate with your customers in a fast and personalized way, that's why a text editor connection to a database is essential, and Word with Excel is fantastic in this regard.

To be able to create and edit spreadsheets within Word is essential. Both tools work together easily to create custom documents or projects.

If you use numerical functions or tables, integration with Microsoft Excel documents are key for displaying tables, charts, and the like.

It has to be seamless and without the need to go through many steps to, for instance. load Excel data into a Word document.

Creating of every day to day activities has come with ease, tracking of sales and purchase and keeping of records.

it is important because it allows us to organize ourselves better and to elaborate documents in a dynamic way.

Pasting data tables from different documents and having the ability to edit in Word in an Excel like function.

We use Excel for inventory management. We have found it to be the leading program in its field of software.

We do occasionally translate tables to Excel and Excel to tables, but not that much. But it is convenient.

Embedding files to different docs, reading/writing to/from a database/another file is quite a good thing.

I always document datas from my work so inserting an excel spreadsheet and graphs is so important

Importing data from excel into a Word document is an extremely important function for any office.

It can give a much stronger tool to create the dashboard that the senior team need to see

Tools in the MS Office Suite are used interchangeably personally and professionally.

Microsoft is simply the leader in Office Productivity. Nobody can or will deny that.

Vital as I use spreadsheets and word docs together to analyse and report on data

This allows me to import data from excel sheets to my Microsoft word documents.

I create charts and graphics on Excel and then sinsert them into word documents

The integration between Microsoft Word and PowerPoint I think is important because it helps me share information between different programs more efficiently. This can save time and ensure consistency of information, as content can be easily copied and pasted between programs. In addition, this integration allows the creation of presentations based on texts prepared in Word, which facilitates the process of creating presentations.

Presentations are absolutely critical for our business , this is how we show our customers what we're capable of. We need apply documents to presentations often.

I've tried to interchange PowerPoint graphs/charts but they are not always compatible; they do not copy and paste the same between each other.

This program allows us to create visual documents for presentations, advertisements, and more - supporting our branding.

When migrating some elements from PowerPoint to Word, you lose some customization options, especially forms.

I make my script using Microsoft Word and I partner it with A presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint.

We make a lot of presentations and it's nice to be able to move information directly from Word.

i draft all my notes wwith word first and onnly after do i place them on my power point

Tools in the MS Office Suite are used interchangeably personally and professionally.

Very important for creating presentations and has lots of options and designs

I can integrate microsoft word excerpts into slides in Microsoft PowerPoint.

These platforms are interchangeable in regards to typed content and photos.

I love docs but do not like the unprofessional manner of when it get printed, or when sending documents to other people. I use word to fill in the gaps.

There's an added bonus of the ease of sharing and editing. Also, it's what used by the company, so we follow its work ways
