Rocket.Chat Pricing Reviews

Pros
  • Been looking for an alternative to Slack that is more customizable. Rocket Chat seems viable for small businesses that
  • I like that it's flexible and can be edited to meet your needs. We have brought in a lot of features and functions that make it unique to our business.
  • This application is the better alternative to Slack, Hipchat and many other apps. It offers all the features, that all the other expensive softwares have, too.
  • the best part is that since the product is open source it is highly customizable. Mostly aligns with what slack can do for you, some new features are needed to make it happen. Also nearly free if you can use it right. Would recommend for startups and other tech teams which are less than 10-15 members
Cons
  • The administration panel is not very clear designed. There are no other cons, that I'm able to tell you.
  • More integrations are required to make this completely usable. Also with hangouts chat now available the product needs better differentiation in terms of the value proposition
  • Ultimately found that it was missing some features that we had in slack that our users really seemed to miss. Wish there was a cheaper plan for even small businesses, like 10 people or less.
  • The interface is much less attractive and enjoyable than other chat softwares like Slack. It meets our needs at a much better price than other softwares, but it's not nearly as clean of a product.
