Overall, we have had a very good experience with Almabase. We found Almabase provided the features we were looking for at a much more reasonable price compared to other platforms. The social influencer piece has been really helpful in advertising and growing our donor base. The use of social media helps us cast a wider net and we have had year-over-year growth. We also like the integration with Blackbaud as the donor information flows into the donor record once we sync our systems. This was a really helpful attribute and produced a much cleaner tracking system for our database manager.
We really like the Almabase platform and have used it for three consecutive years. Our office is limited in size as we are a relatively small fundraising unit but the Almabase platform has given us a robust system for online fundraising within our community. Although we are very happy with the Almabase software we wish there was a way to securely use Venmo during a campaign. This is likely a function of using BBMS as our payment processor and integrating the two systems. We also tried using Paypal but the functionality with BBMS was not there. Hopefully, that will be corrected in the future. We also had a few gifts that were missed even though the constituents were mapped ahead of time. This is an issue we are working through with Almabase. Finally, it is worth noting that at times, we were limited on the template and form customization options.

The functionality and user interface really brought Almabase to our attention. Since joining them we've been able to expand our annual appeals, alumni engagement, expand our parent auxiliary groups, but most importantly it has streamlined our communications and given us the ability to continue providing value to our alumni.
There are many incredible features included in the Almabase software, but one thing that could be improved is the customization of the community admin rights. Having a large class rep program at the school it is vital that our reps can communicate effectively with their classmates. Right now giving someone community admin rights gives them full rights to the communication center. It would be great to be able to limit this to just the person's class and a specific list of email templates. This would help both the site admin and the community admin.

Overall, Almabase has been a great partner as we begin our endeavor in Alumni Relations. Because of Almabase we have been very successful in our first 8 months. They are constantly giving us strategies to improve and offering assistance. We just had an in-person visit from them that will help us immensely as we enter the second phase of our program. I truly feel they have a personal interest in your success.
At first, I was not fully bought into this company and software. However, after the first month, I realize that they truly care about your success. My main pros are: - Ease of setup - Creative solutions to problems - Partner with you to create a plan for your success - Great price - Always improving - Great communication center - Fast response
- Some bugs with the software when doing more advanced features. However, they fixed them very quickly.

Great customer service. Took a real interest in our needs. A rep visited with us for several days to see our operations in action and gain a better understanding of our needs.
The Almabase team provides outstanding customer services. Alumni database features are similar to products provided by other vendors, but we particularly like Almabase's communication/email features. Almabase created a day of giving website for us that amplified the results of our day of giving. Over 1000 donors gave close to $250,000 in a 24 hour period. The site handled the giving volume without delay or error and provided instantaneous updates.
No major concerns, some features we would like to see enhanced - for example, adding the capability to have notices scroll automatically on the site.

The platform has been helpful in connecting with alumni, and the customer service team is helpful and responsive.
Features like a directory with a search by map feature, event registration and giving forms with clean design. We can add pages and create content easily. With Facebook/LinkedIn signups, integration with Raiser's Edge, and alumni able to update contact information on their profile, collecting contact data is more efficient. The team at Almabase is responsive with our questions, and helpful in making sure we are making the most of the product.
We would like the pages on Almabase to be more customizable and a news feed would be a great addition.

Almabase has provided us with a great platform for hosting our NASA internship alumni network and database. Our students like that they can update their own profiles, communicate with their class, and network with alumni in different classes. We like that we can conveniently communicate with all of our alumni and keep track of their accomplishments. Also, Almabase staff responds really quickly to any questions or issues that have come up.
We don't really have any complaints so far!

Almabase has a plethora of features that help our school interact with our alumni in different and meaningful ways. We are able to host events, share news, and fund raise all in one location. Almabase is a true investment in our alumni and they really appreciate the efforts we are making beyond the years they spend on our campus.
A challenge for us is getting alumni to join the platform. We are constantly looking for ways to get alumni to visit the site and see what benefits they can receive.

Our goal was to communicate with our alumni in new and more efficient ways, and we wanted to be able to see and track engagement. Almabase has made that possible and their team has answered every question we had in a timely manner. The people at Almabase have been very supportive and helpful.
Almabase has an outstanding communication center and data studio that allows the right people to see and get the information they need to communicate with alumni.
The website is not as flexible as it could be and we wish it had a few more options to show pictures.

Almabase allows us to connect with our alumni on multiple levels based on interest, class years, university affinities, and social media interaction. It also allows us to communicate intentionally and deliberately with our alumni through targeted emails and our e-newsletter. It saves our team time by streamlining the way that we post to our social media platforms and data-mine the site. This platform also allows for us to include pages for our chapters that have controlled access for the chapter administrators. We can also set-up event registrations, pay portals and interest forms and have the data collected to be imported into Raiser's Edge whenever we want to do that. Almabase directly impacts and helps to facilitate the majority of our office's mission and goals.
With Almabase everything is at one central location which is a huge time saver for us. No more multiple disconnected software and inefficiencies. It also seamlessly integrated with Raiser's Edge. This software help us consolidate our database, emailing and website saving us a lot of money. Tracking emails and engagement has been very helpful.
-It is a website, database platform, and bulk email service. -Payments can be taken through the website, including membership payments. -The developers are constantly making improvements to the software and any improvements are made available at no extra cost. -The customer service is very responsive.
-Administrator/backend usability could be improved. This is something we have mentioned to them and they are working on. -Website pages could do with a little more layout varieties and features. I believe they are working on this also.

Almabase's team, and [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] in particular, have been great to work with!
The support team was my favorite part of Almabase. Whenever I had a question, whether conceptual or technical, their team would reply quickly, send support resources, and were very willing to set up time to meet virtually, to review processes. It made me feel less alone in the administration process.
My least favorite part of the software was more that it was not the right fit ultimately for my organization's alumni needs. It seems like it would be a good solution for those with a more traditional alumni base (i.e. those looking for a place for alumni to post content and fundraise).

Great product overall, that helps us to connect with and engage with our alumni. Also, very responsive customer service provided by [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and the rest of their team.
The map search feature is a big hit with our alumni. We also enjoy the event management module and the ability to have multiple communication touchpoints with attendees before, during and after the event. In terms of building emails, the drag and drop feature makes it easy for anyone who doesn't have design or HTML experience.
When building directories, it would be great to be able to re-arrange/reorder/sort entries after the fact, as opposed to having to enter info in specific orders, i.e. alphabetical, etc.

I love that this software is able to integrate with LinkedIn and Facebook to automatically capture alumni updates. Also that mailing lists are dynamic and change accordingly when an update is made to the profiles. It automates so many things and that takes the hassle out of the administration of the alumni office so that we can focus on actually engaging with alumni. The event management module is especially helpful in managing RSVPs. The support team has also been very gracious and patient with a non-technical person such as myself and taken the trouble to explain each function thoroughly. They are always ready to help.
For a more technically proficient user, it may be good if more of the customization such as changing fields and even uploading new batches of alumni data could be left to the institution themselves to handle. But for those who may not be technical, the fact that the support team handles this can be a great relief, as it is to me.

The overall experience has been great! We love the product and the Almabase team has been there every step of the way to help us get the most from the product. I would definitely recommend this software to other schools.
The Almabase platform is fairly easy to use for a non-technical person. It is a great way to quickly be able to connect with your alumni base. The team at Almabase is fantastic. Their customer service is second to none!
We just recently found that we could not set up a pledge form where users could set up reoccurring gifts, however, I am sure it is only a matter of time before the team adds this functionality to the product.

It's very user friendly and helps keep up to date Alumni contacts, who are notified of the latest events and updates on Campus and help interact with other alumni and students.
They have been very quick to answer any queries. Their customer support is excellent! No cons that I can think of. I have been using it every day and its very rare we come across a glitch which anyways is taken care of immediately.

We use Almabase as our primary means to communicate with our alumni. We also pitch it to our alumni as a way for them to find one another and engage on their own. Every week through Almabase we send 1-4 emails to various alumni and have at least one event registration active. These areas are the ones we use the most, and Almabase has been great.
Almabase is user-friendly, easy to learn, and the customer success team is always quick to help us with troubleshooting or even adapting the platform based on our needs.
There are few parts of the event module that work fine but could be more convenient, but Almabase is already working on adjusting these. Honestly, any issue we have is quickly looked at and updated, and we so appreciate their willingness to adjust their platform when necessary!

Almabase provides numerous ways to engage with program alumni, including email campaigns, interactive communities, donor campaigns, career opportunity boards, and more. These options allow us to create a tailored, meaningful experience for over 9,000 alumni from 165+ countries.
We would like to see an integrative app where students can directly chat with each other (similar to WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger).

I've had a great experience with my Almabase Customer Success Manager. He has been really helpful and responsive when I've needed help, but I haven't needed much help with our first two give days because their fundraising pages have been easy and intuitive to set up and run.
The ability to set up fundraising pages for our give days in a quick and easy-to-use manner. The customer service has been very responsive and very easy to work with.
The way some of the image and text content was formatted on the pages. I had to play around to get some pictures and tables to look just right. Also, the limited options on some of the gift settings.

Overall, satisfied with the quality of Almabase for the price. Its functional and economical.
The price of Almabase is very fair for the functionality you receive in return for your alumni platform. It has some great syncing options. For us, it syncs with Raiser's Edge, which is an extreme benefit. We can pull/push data to/from our constituent database and alumni network.
I felt that the implementation process and training could use a little work. I felt unprepared and not trained enough (as a user and admin) to handle the software.
