With applicant messages, there's no way to end the communications/block disqualified applicants so I've had former applicants continually message and harass  with no solution from Homebase.

The ability for them to request days off on the app is amazing because I do not have to remember all the days, it comes up while I'm making the schedule.

This forced us to buy tablets for employees to clock in and out. We've continued to have trouble with logging in to the website, and for this morning's payroll the website is down.

There's great integration across all their HR functions and lots of pre-built integrations with other payroll services to seamlessly transfer timesheet data across vendors.

Great!  Customer service is what stands out by far.  The few times that I have had to call for help, your team has been warm, friendly and very knowledgable.

Homebase:  a great tool

We are on the essentials plan. We have 45 employees. some of those employees are able to do more than 1 job. some of those jobs are a higher paying position (like bartender vs busboy) 

When you hire a bartender at $15 per hour, if that bartender picks up a job as a busboy at $10 per hour - the software won't allow you have that bartender get paid at $10 unless you upgrade to their "plus" plan. 

What was not explained was why this just became an issue in december 2023 and was not an issue when we onboarded all employees in september. 

for that reason - i will not be renewing and will be sourcing a new sofrware. if i'm going to pay a higher cost, it wont be for the lack of customer service i've recieved to date. 

i'll gladly update this review if the team can fix my issue but based on the customer service response i've seen so far...i dont see that happening without me making some noise.

Homebase is literally an addiction.  All of the tasks that need to be done with this product are agonizing for any manager.  But this product makes it not only easy, but enjoyable!  I actually love performing all the tasks on Homebase because it is so practical, straightforward and simple.  I am on the app multiple times a day just reminding myself of who is working when.  I would be lost without this product and in terrible shape.  Thank you for 3 years of making my life easy!

Confessions of a Homebase Addict

A very positive experience and software that I utilize regularly for multiple jobs in hospitality. Even though I have been using this product for a couple of years now, I am constantly learning about new features within Homebase.

A one-stop shop for all needs for employee management for any business with a large amount of employees

Overall we love homebase. We started out using it as a test with just 1 location now we use it for 9 different businesses. Some of them have office staff, some remote/traveling staff that use GPS on app  clock in/clock out and some have staff that clock in when they get to work using on location computers. It couldn't be quicker to set up and get started and the fact that you have a forever schedule history is an awesome feature. Plus depending on the features you need - you can try it out for free (as in free free - their starting price point is zero)

Great Scheduling Software for businesses of all sizes

Have been blessed with the ability to utilize a free app that allows me to schedule crew members & allows them to message each other if schedules need to change. Our volunteer ambulance agency also frequently holds training for other departments, meaning that I can add crew members/roles while I have students & then can remove them once classes are completed. Other apps that I have used had caps on the number of persons allowed to be added & even after deleting a person they still counted on the total number, meaning I couldn't add anybody else. 

FREE Scheduling / Messaging

Overall would absolutely recommend, even if you just utilize the scheduling aspect.  As an established business I had pretty much everything except the scheduling portion covered. (I was using paper schedules - oh the headaches!)

You won't be disappointed!

I love everything about this app! I can make a schedule from my phone or computer, adjust hours/tips etc. This platform is top notch!

Homebase Review: Homebase is the Best for the Price!

Amy:                                                   I'm Amy. I'm the director of a child care center. We have about 30 employees and I rate Homebase a five out of five stars.
                                                       Prior to Homebase, we did staffing manually, but I did research a lot of different companies trying to find companies that could do what I needed them to do to make staffing and time keeping a lot easier, and overall, Homebase had the best value for the features that were offered and ease of use.
                                                       I went with Homebase primarily because they provided the tools that I needed to make staffing a lot easier and less stressful for my employees and myself, and because the pricing included a lot more than a lot of the other companies were providing.
                                                       At the time that I actually started using Homebase, a lot of the staff members that I had were not very open to moving to a online app-type platform, but once we started using it and they realized how easy it was, it was super easy to transfer over to that type of system compared to the manual system we were using prior.
                                                       I highly recommend giving Homebase a try. Over the years, I have ventured out just to see if there are other things that do work as well, and there's not, especially not for the price points. Even if you've come across a little bit of resistance from staff or other board members or whatever, I promise, you give it a try, you will never want to go back.

I just printed out off of the computer. I really wanted something that my employees could access at any time on their phones or computers. I was looking for something, but I actually, I couldn't find anything.
                                                       I found Homebase on my Clover device. It was an app that was available to me for free, so I figured why not give it a try. I really love it because all of my employees can see the scheduling on their phones, because it comes with an app. Again, it's free. It's very easy to use. One of the best things I love about it is I don't have to manually add up my employees hours when I have to do payroll. It's just already added up for me. The other thing I love about it is I can see my sales on my phone app when I just pull it up. I could also fix any problems like when employees forget to clock out or clock in. It's very easy to fix. It's very easy to use.
                                                       Homebase is so easy to use. It's very user-friendly. I didn't have any problems when I onboarded. If I had any questions, the customer service was excellent.
                                                       I would recommend Homebase to anyone. I don't see why you wouldn't want to use it. First of all, I'm using the free version, so you can't get much better than that. It works so well. It saves time. Your employees can see their schedules right away online, or if there's any changes. They have great customer service. I have no, no problems with it. It just works really well.
