There are so many features to talk about I could write a book. It took me less time to right schedules, forecasting gave me an idea how many employees Id need at given areas around the restaurant and really left the guess work out of it.

Pros
Ties in with inventory and POS software to establish patterns in business and gives you Forecasting on volume of business to help with your scheduling needs.

Cons
Its expensive. Especially if you want all the major features. But you get what you pay for. If you can afford it, its worth the leap.

Overall a good option, but lack of useful support makes price tag difficult to justify.

Pros
Hotschedules is a easily interface-able and customize-able program. It has many high level features and makes sense on the use.

Cons
On the down side when you encounter an issue with Hotschedules the overall support is less than helpful. Too many updates. High priced

Pros
It has it all, for a price. They are so close to having everything that a restaurant would need to hire, onboard, schedule, manage shift changes, manager certifications, and communicate to all employees. We never did integrate, because of the cost, but that would have been awesome to have the comparable metrics.

Cons
Their above store console is antiquated. It's not very user-friendly and is in need of an update. We we're also closed on Sunday, they can't remove Sunday from the scheduling analytics making it kinda weird.

Pros
Whatever your need regarding scheduling, this app provides it. It provides contact info to get in touch with fellow employees. It allows quick and easy shift swaps. It even gives you an opportunity to rate your shift so managers can create a better experience.

Cons
There aren't many cons, but the app could have been set up in a more attractive way. If it were set up in a more appealing way, it might get more users. It also would be more popular if the app were cheaper.

I have really enjoyed using Hotschedules it make communicating with my staff easy. It help keep them accountable for their schedule. East to switch shifts and always know who is working.

Pros
Easy to post the schedule and easy for the staff to switch shifts and request time off. It is a great tool that keep it all together.

Cons
The price is a bit much for a small company but it is worth it.

Before hot schedules we were just making the schedule on an excel sheet and all the employees would give us their requests for time off on a sticky note but now with hot schedules it makes it so much easier to write the schedule and to view peoples time off request. It is also a great tool for the employees to release or pick up their shifts and seeing who will be working that day. It has made things much easier for everyone and since the majority of people have smart phones they can easily access their schedule.

Pros
-Very convenient -Easy to use -Decent price - Takes all information from Aloha so that you do not have to enter new employees multiple times

Cons
-If you terminate an employee it will come back as an active employee unless you also terminate them on Aloha

Pros
The back end reporting was my favorite aspect of this particular scheduling software. Manager logs including sales information as well as labor were a huge asset!

Cons
While the logs are indeed a huge selling point, you do pay for them. The price would definitely be prohibitive for a small operation.

If you’re unorganized and scatterbrained like myself, this is the app you’ve been missing this whole time!

Pros
Hot schedules has a very simple, easy layout and helps keep me organized. I can pick up or drop shifts when I want, communicate with my team 24/7, and get requests approved almost instantly just through the app.

Cons
The price is a little high and customer service takes a little long to respond to inquires, but other than that it’s a great service.

Great tools for managing labor. One of the only companies that I know of that is integrated with Aloha.

The software comes with a lot of features but it needs to be a lot more user friendly for the price. I believe that the developers and computer science engineers have made it a little bit too hard when it can be a lot easier to use.

i really don't like the product at all because of the cost

Cons
Can't drag and drop. Times out to quick. Everyone should be able to see everyones schedule without giving them other schedule permissions. You can't copy and paste specific employees from one week to the next without erasing other employees. Cost is ridiculous

I really liked the services even though it was expensive. It was very user friendly. The customer care and accounting departments made my experience a bad one.

I like the functionality of the software

I am so disappointed in the customer care. hotschedules continues to charge me after I request to suspend services. I have contacted them 8 times over this and my account was drafted numerous times after cancelation. Everyone I speak to says they do not have the authority or ability to refund me or suspend or cancel my account.

It is very difficult to get responses from customer support. It will take a day and up to 3 to hear anything back and that is in several different support groups. Also, the fact that you get shuffled from one type of support to another is quite frustrating. When you start you have 1 person that owns the majority of the experience.She was great! But once you get passed on to customer support it feels like you are lost. I also have an issue with the scheduling functionality. It is impossible to view an entire day of a schedule either in the schedule or the template. There used to be a button at the top of the schedule that allowed you to see the entire day, who was scheduled in each station, all at a glance. The new functionality makes it incredibly difficult to manage the level of staff on a shift.

Pros
The logbook feature, the advanced floor maps (which are an additional cost..), and the messaging feature.

Cons
Again the scheduling software is not very user friendly. Clearly there were some adjustments made that helped with writing a schedule, but not being able to view it as easily is frustrating.

It does what it is supposed to do but it doesn't have much value in terms of in-app longevity.

Simple and does what the app is supposed to do. It's easy to find my restaurant shifts and switch with coworkers.

Hot-schedules has so many features it's a little daunting at first. But their projection software, integration with the restaurant's software is amazing. Hot-schedules will help you write a schedule that optimizes when you need you need your people on, and when you can get them out of there.

We currently have four entities that use Hot Schedules. Each entity seems to get easier and easier to set up! Each representative that I have worked with has been friendly, considerate, and willing to answer any questions I may have. I was given documents on how to navigate the interface myself, along with a support team that has responded back to my inquiries in less than 24 hours each time. I would certainly recommend this product to others.

Cost of the app for smart phones, a lot of staff do not want to pay for it

Very positive experience. Made my schedule less chaotic and gives me options to control my work days and days off much better without having to deal with manger directly lol

Pros
Having a restaurant job means cheotic schedule. It's never the same. Impossible to keep up with and memorize. My last job had hot schedules but my new job doesn't:/ it's a nightmare without it. I miss it so much. It is so convenient to pick up and realise shifts whenever I please. No need to call or txt my co workers. Everything is done thru the app. App is not free but cheap and worth every single penny. I love that I can request days off and my ability. Super convenient. You have to wait for manager to approve or not of your request. I can see who my co workers will be for the shift. I can see all phone numbers and emails of my co workers. Every restaurant should have this app. It's very easy as well so even my 70 year old co worker knows how to use it. Very well done .

Cons
Sometimes I get loged out and have trouble logging back in. It froze few times. Could use more color and some fun options like emoji me lol make work schedule more fun
