The API was very easy to use. The hardest and most challenging part was getting set up and approved by Facebook to get our WhatsApp numbers.

I can say that account sign up was very easy, the interface was fairly quick to understand, the pricing of sms is fair and support was quick to respond. It does support sending sms for many countries.

Information for the error is minimum, so we can't get more information why the sms is not delivered. Also the price is quite high to send 1 SMS.

We use Twilio to send automated texts for bookings through an API. Twilio makes sending these texts super simple. I don't have to really worry about anything with it.

Set It and Forget It

Besides the pain points I mentioned above, Twilio has been a reliable text and call provider for our company. There are occasional outages, but they recover relatively quickly to minimize disruptions to their customers.

Really great SMS service

Amazing product

Twilio handles all the inbound calls for my website. I ported a vanity 800 number from a another provider to Twilio and after a quite lengthy setup process that involved lots of customer service calls it was up and running. After that you can pretty much leave it or do some minor changes relatively easy. Now when customers call they can choose from an option tree to troubleshoot their issue or they can choose to talk to an agent (me) and if it's during business hours the call gets forwarded to my cell, if outside of business hours they get my voicemail. Works great! I also have it embedded in my website for a chat option that more people actually use.

Twilio: good features, terrible support service!

Pray you never need their support! I opened a ticket almost a week ago asking for a simple thing: deactivate 2FA to be able to migrate the WhatsApp Business Account (WABA). 

Until today, they haven't resolved it. They take a long time to respond and send stupid questions. So far, they haven't done what I asked. 

I'll miss a perfect time to migrate because of them.

The OG of SMS Messaging for Business

We were scammed with sms fraud to the tune of 2000USD. Eventually they refunded us. However 2 months later they canceled our account because of a bank charge back which we had cancelled. They basically threw our business under the bus. No one could sign up to our service for days. If you want to lose your clients and damage your business use twilio.

A Consistent Partner

Overall it's a decent program. I wish it was a bit more stable, but the fact it allows hundreds of CCRs/CCAs/sales reps to be on calls simultaneously is a huge plus.

The platform is rock-solid reliable, the features are enterprise-grade, and the convenience of the cloud-based APIs accelerates development timelines.

A Reliable Cloud Communications Platform

It does the job and is able to send messages to our candidates now that we have this set up. However, communication from Twilio itself hasn't been very clear and we would have preferred more available support in the early stages. The fact that this is already linked with our ATS so we don't have to add additional API has been hugely beneficial and a bit time saver for us.

Twilio in Recruitment

I usually don't leave reviews but I am so upset of how Twilio treated me and my business that I feel an obligation to do so. Twilio has very bad customer service. If your app, website or product depends on its service like API or SMS, I would look somewhere else like Plivo or other service providers. Twilio suspended my account for weeks on an error through their system and through numerous emails, they took their time to unsuspend it while my business was being damaged every day by it. I would never recommended Twilio to any businesses or consumers.

Twilio Review: A great SMS campaign manager

                                                       Prior to using Twilio, we were texting our customers manually, which was very time-intensive trying to figure out who to text, when to text. It was nothing convenient about it or efficient, so we were looking for a solution to help us streamline our SMS campaigns efficiently.
                                                       The reason we chose Twilio was because a lot of my other colleagues were using them. They had great experience with it. We looked at a couple other softwares, but honestly, Twilio just came out of top.
                                                       Onboarding Twilio was really easy. It's just a matter of signing up for an account, getting a phone number, and then using their API to basically connect it to your software. But it was pretty easy to get started.
                                                       If you're looking to do SMS campaigns with compliance, because I know there's a lot of rules now around spam messaging, just get Twilio. It saves you a lot of time, a lot of headache. They actually make sure that you don't get into the spam then.

We tried using Close CRM and simple texting to resolve our bulk message sending issue, but they didn't really work that well with Close. It was a matter of not being able to send bulk text messages out. It was more of a one-on-one text message. And with simple texting, you could, but we didn't like their pricing structure and the limitations in the software.
                                                       We chose Twilio because it's a highly customizable solution that allows us to build exactly what we want. There are also integrations with some other easy-to-use softwares and WordPress and things like that, that we were able to take advantage of. It was very easy to integrate with WordPress with existing solutions. Obviously, Twilio's an API. So it's more of a customizable build-your-own solution. It's not for those who don't want something ready to go.
                                                       If you're considering using Twilio, I would highly recommend it. It's definitely going to be for someone who wants to build their own solution, rather than find easy-to-use solution. Some things like that might exist out there, but make sure you do your research before you get Twilio.
