ConvertKit is SO User Friendly

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

I love this software! There are so many CRMs out there from which to choose. The creator was a content creator himself and made a software he wanted to use that he knew would drive leads and sales while still being user friendly.

Cons

This product is comparable to any other CRM out there. It may not be quite as powerful as InfusionSoft or feature-rich, but many of those things don't seem necessary for the small business owner. I suppose that's a negative, but I like the simpler platform.

Fantastic product!

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

ConvertKit makes it easy to segment our audience based on their interests and behaviors so that we can send them emails about what they're interested in.

Cons

It takes some getting used to in order to set up some of the automations and more advanced features, but that's just the nature of using a new software.

What's Not To Love

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

I have used several email management systems, but convert kit is the best hands down. It is packed with all the features you need without over complicating things such as sequences.

Cons

The drawbacks about Convert Kit is that there are no easy ready-made templates for newsletters and it is missing some form features such as drop-down menus.

Convert Kit allows you to put your markeitng on autopilot by the ability to create email sequences for different type of groups and courses if you're an entrepreneur. You can save drafts and even schedule when you would like post to be sent out.

Cons

It can get pricey, but it's worth the money if you are looking to scale.

Great support

Reviewed 2 years ago

So far so great! I prepared and sent my first newsletter. I attended training and learned all about landing pages and forms, and look forward to following their recommendations!

Pros

I love the training and support, and how they work to assure email deliver ability. Even if it means restrictions on what I can do. I was even on chat at weird hours asking questions and they were there!

Cons

I would love it if it had more email design and layout templates and options like mail chimp or strips.email

Email Marketing Tool

Reviewed 2 years ago

It's a good tool, a great community.

Pros

Easy to manage, they offer great features even for the free versions. It has great community support as well.

Cons

Slight glitch in the system the other day, kept getting overwhelming emails from people I didn't subscribe to.

Tags are WAY better than lists

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

I switched over to ConvertKit from Mailchimp because the lists format on Mailchimp and most other email marketing software companies was just a sloppy, frustrating way to organize subscribers. ConvertKit lets you apply tags to subscribers, so you only ever have a subscriber email once in your account, but they can have unlimited tags so you can target your emails accordingly.

Cons

It doesn't have as many design options YET as Mailchimp. But I expect this to improve with time.

LOOVE

Reviewed 4 years ago

Came at the perfect time as our biz was growing.

Pros

Tagging based CRM - love the ability to segment as narrowly or as widely as I want. Love the automations I can have turned on in the background too.

Cons

I'm not tech-y so I run into issues regularly as I can't "see" funnels and end up mixing things up.

Convertkit has really helped take charge of my email list building

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

I love how they don't organize by lists, but by tags. That way a subscriber is only counted once. This keeps the subscriber count down and is important since Convertkit, like most email list managers, charge by the subscriber count. They also have great stats, opt-in forms, and broadcast and tracking options.

Cons

Not really sure. But if you like visually complex emails, convertkit focuses more on personal, simple text emails.

ConvertKit user review

Reviewed 3 years ago

ConvertKit allows me to have a separate list for those who open my emails, those who click my links, and those who never open my emails.

Pros

The platform is easy to navigate which makes it beginner friendly. The user has the ability to send emails to people knowing they are the exact ones to receive it through the use of tags and segments.

Cons

Some people will find it confusing not to be able to create multiple email lists inside the same account.

Pros

ConvertKit is very user-friendly. It's easy to set up and easy to get a hang of. It also has some pretty amazing features that makes it the perfect fit for my business. Plus I love its modern templates.

Cons

I feel like the landing pages although they are beautiful and modern are a bit limited in terms of functionality.

ConvertKit is the best email marketing software!

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

I love ConvertKit and have used it in my business for over 1 1/2 years. It allows me to connect with my audience with ease and automation.

Cons

I do think the price is slightly expensive considering my list is not that big. I think they should lower the price for people with lists below a certain number.

I am as tech clueless as they come and I find Convertkit user-friendly!

Reviewed 5 years ago

I feel more organized about my contacts - I used to use a spreadsheet and it got to be a bit overwhelming. Now I just have first name, email address, and where the contact came from (online form, website, health fair, etc.). I can organize broadcasts by whether folks are local (for in-person classes) and if they are far away (for blogs, online classes, online products, etc.).

Pros

The broadcast, add subscribers, and tag functions are really simple - I use them easily! I love that they have free trainings and offer great customer support.

Cons

So far I haven't figured out the funnel idea...I'm not sure it's the software's fault though. I mostly just do broadcasts and that's enough for me for now.

Excellent for Email Marketing

Reviewed 3 years ago

Good. I love the ease of use and features that it offers.

Pros

I love the ease of use. ConvertKit makes it a snap to design and send email marketing materials. This plus robust analytics make it my go to email marketing service.

Cons

I would like a few more options for customization and tweaking the aesthetics of the email. Of course this is certainly not a dealbreaker for me.

Where have you been all my life??

Solved every email problem or question I ever had with mail chimp for a fair price!

Pros

I switched to convertkit from mailchimp 8 months ago. Best decision and money I’ve ever spent. Easily supports multiple email opt-ins. Send to specific groups or whole broadcasts.

Cons

The landing pages are difficult to customize well. They are free, so that’s nice. But hard to make beautiful.

Very underwhelming

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Good clean interface. Has bit of everything.

Cons

We bought this software after reading the capterra reviews here, however we find it very limited in customisation so it's mainly take it or leave type of features. We could not block freemailers from subscribing, or use custom css for the same purpose. In general, it is not a tool to use if you care about following brand identity of your own The set-up process is tedious with Wordpress websites. We were not happy so we cancelled, so instead of letting the current paid period last the software deactivated the account immediately and blocked us out of the software. We could not export our subscribers nor our content.

Convertkit Review

Pros

Convertkit is a good tool for e-mail marketing and automating emails for businesses, creators. It's a decent product with decent pricing.

Cons

Even though it's a good product it has its flaws. Compared to the competition it feels like it lacks certain features but hope they add them in the future.

Powerful email service provider for the solopreneur

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

Convertkit provided many of the featured of more expensive services like Infusionsoft, but at a Mailchimp price.

Cons

Not a lot of bells/whistles or fancy templates. But for a blogger or coach or other service provider that doesn't need the graphics, Convertkit's simpler layouts are actually more functional and likely to make it past spam filters.

Just Started Using ConvertKit

Reviewed 3 years ago

I have new people signing up on my website so I am very pleased with Convert Kit. It has been easy to implement and I am growing my email list.

Pros

I am using ConvertKit for landing pages and building my email list. I have found it very easy with nice templates to create some very awesome landing pages. I also have an email sign up link for my website to take people to my freebie/signup. This is a new feature for my website and I have been very satisfied with the results.

Cons

I haven't explored all the tutorials for the software, but that is what I probably need some help with so I know the full potential of ConvertKit.

Finally made the switch from Mailchimp!

Reviewed 4 years ago

It took a long time for me to make the switch from MailChimp to ConvertKit because I didn't want to learn a new platform, but I think that ConvertKit will be much better for connecting with my audience as a blogger and social media manager.

Pros

I actually love how simple the ConvertKit emails are. I always thought that perfectly designed, image-based emails were the way to go, but I've learned that simple emails work better for marketing and growing your email list.

Cons

I wish there was a cheaper plan for brand new users with less than 100 email subscribers, but all of the users I know say that the price is worth it once you start growing business.

ConvertKit Honest review

Reviewed a year ago

No issue at all so to speak. And the overall software is the best for any creator or designer for productive work and better outcomes.

Pros

ConvertKit is one of my favorites. It allows me to create and design my pins all the time. It has enormous features to use for any kind design you may want to have it done. Pro features are more preferable to me.

Cons

This is now the sad reality to hear about ConvertKit. Yes ! But don't get worried because the only issue with this software is about upgrading to a new plan in order to access the Pro features which is not really costly.
