We spent a significant amount of time and due dilligence in efforts to select the best gym software to launch our business.

Pros

Lead Process & Follow-Up - Allows for quick follow-ups, assigning leads, and tracking their progress to membership. Ability to leave notes and change status help with managing the process between team members.

Cons

Sign-up Form Customizations - would love to see customizable forms for fitness challenges and other event sign ups that link into lead management process.

Customizable sign up forms is a huge product enhancement we'd love to tackle. We do integrate with Google Forms and such via Zapier for now - but we absolutely recognize the need to be able to build in app questionnaires and forms!

Having used multiple member management services, Push Press has been the easiest to navigate and learn.

Cons

I wish there were more reporting features such as upcoming bills and upgrading memberships. As of now I need to delete a membership and then issue a new one.

Wouldn’t want to do business without it!

From our early days of just using it to collect membership fees to now when we are far more involved with its capabilities, the customer service and integrations have bee phenomenal.

Pros

We utilize it for events, product sales, besides the overall membership management!

Cons

Early on, it didn’t have as many integrations as it does now.

Automated memberships alone are worth the time saved to run memberships.

Pros

-automation -customer service -cyber security This software allows for quick charges on items, event setup, attendance tracking, and member communication among other things.

Cons

-membership cancellations -could use a point of sale device -cost per transaction Memberships cancelling is tough to navigate at times.

Great free software

Coming out of lockdowns we wanted an easy to use gym management software.

Pros

The easy to use app is very user friendly and makes booking classes very simple for clients.

Cons

There are certain features missing like the ability for clients to book 1 to 1 sessions. However, pushpress' customer service is very responsive and have plans to improve the software.

Does what I need it to do

I was looking for a software that: -integrated with our existing website -that had a user facing place to check in for class -that the users entered/updated card info without me having to touch it -that had class scheduling included -could integrate with a variety of banks/payment systems for us to get our money

Sometimes the scheduling feature can be a bit clunky and repetitive to do.

I think it is great for smaller gyms looking to track attendance and employ a platform that is user friendly.

Pros

This software is very easy to use and we have been primarily using it at the gym, tracking classes and attendance. I think it is awesome that you can also send emails directly from the platform itself too.

Cons

As far as the dashboard its concerned, it is great for mobile use but I wish workout tracking could be a part of it because we still have to use another platform for that.

For me, the free version solved the issue of requiring members to register for classes to limit attendance to 10 or fewer clients per session

Pros

It does a good job of handling session reservations and attendance tracking.

Cons

The paid version is expensive and they take a fee from any billing done through the system.

I can't say enough how the amazing the free version is and really has been invaluable for our growth.

Pros

As a new strength and conditioning studio, I needed a low cost gym management software that was familiar with the fitness segment I'm a part of.

Cons

I love PP, but the ease of use and ability to edit both what my members see and scheduling is tricky and has a severe learning curve.

Pushpress is easy to use, very user friendly, very organized.

Pros

Pushpress organizes all my clients memberships, classes, events, sales of product, emails....I can link contact forms and registration pages to my Gym's website for easy payment processing.

Cons

During one software update all my members' emergency contact info got imported to one of the other fields, and the only fix was manually going into each and correcting.

Amazing App with great features

I love that I can use 1 app to manage my clients, classes, invoicing, sales and also appointments it makes things a lot easier then having to use multiple apps.

Pros

I love the features available with the application, the ability to not only manage members but also their invoicing, payments, ability to self serve as well as the add on features such as check in app, sales app and the class screens app.

Cons

Most of the time the team has been great to work on them and resolve only a couple outstanding items but I wouldn't completely blame Pushpress, part of it is integration with Google calendar.

Customer service is great with the chat feature. All our questions and concerns that have been addressed were rectified and quite promptly.

Pros

Everything is simple and straight forward, which is exactly what we needed to keep track of members and to process their payments.

Cons

I would like an overall feature to list in one area all the members assigned to a staff member regardless of what type of membership they have, this way they have a running list.

Makes life so much easier

I am very pleased with PushPress. I am particularly impressed with how responsive they are to customer suggestions. They are constantly improving the system, always based on user input.

Pros

I am able to see attendance history for my athletes, and even receive a heads-up when someone has been away from the gym for a while.

Cons

On occasion I find that I need to download a CSS file of my data to be able to find the exact info I'm looking for.

Makes Running Our Box Super-Easy

Overall it's taken a huge stress and burden off my mind because I don't have to stress and worry about managing members, memberships, scheduling classes, managing class check-ins, retail sales, etc.

Pros

It includes EVERYTHING we need to be able to manage our members, class times, coaches, retail sales, and everything in between.

Cons

There are some elements I wish it had - applying a credit to a member's account and punchcards with retail sales.

Awesome product, a few bugs

Overall, the software is great and does everything we need it to do. The support staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. If I could change one thing, it would be giving businesses control over the emailing to its members.

Pros

The apps and additional features are simple enough that we started taking advantage of them soon after we set up our membership billing side of things.

Cons

I'm not a fan of the auto-emailing and how we don't have control over what goes to who and when.

We agree with you about the emails - when we started we thought "less is more" and felt it was one less thing an owner had to spend time configuring. We still believe setting up all the emails is a lot of burden on an owner, but we've identified a better way to do this.

It's on the project board, and will be done soon, but we have some really big works in progress now that have to be completed as a prerequisite to this.

We can sell memberships and products.

Pros

Customer support is awesome, and usually really quick to respond when a question arises.

Cons

The process to change a members plan by canceling the existing plan is not the greatest since it shows as a canceled plan. 12x per month type memberships are set up bad for the first month since it allows that new member to check in 12 times within the first month, even if they sign up the last week of the month.

Best decision ever

The days of paper waivers, emailing with drop-ins and potential members are long gone.

Pros

It has transformed our retail point of sale which used to be a pain for members.

Cons

The PushPress team is constantly updating to make the platform better so there can be some features that are not fully functional for very short periods of time. It has not been an issue for our day to day operations.
