My Experience with MyStudio for my very first business

Very pleased with MyStudio. This was our 3rd stop on martial arts softwares/CRM and will be last.

Great product with lots of function that won’t break the bank.

At 1st I wasn't impressed as I used the lowest tier. After upgrading and using the website creator things started taking off. With the upgrades they have been updating it seems to have made things way easier. I love it and will use it for the upcoming schools we will open.

A Martial Arts Must

I've used several studio CRMs - MindBody, ZenPlanner, etc - and they are all, in their own way, awful. MyStudio was recommended to me by a friend, who sold the benefits in terms of clients being able to enroll themselves for memberships, and use a member app to check in. But the self-enrolment benefits are offset by accounting and reporting problems, and a lack of flexibility in membership and product types. The software probably works well for high-throughput karate and TKD dojos, and is likely geared toward them. We stay with it for now because there is nothing obviously better out there, and the hassle of switching back to MindBody, etc, would be more than it is worth.

Fantastic experience. Offering the opportunity for potential clients to just sign up from the App (or the URL they also provide) has not only saved us a tremendous amount of time but it has also saved us money. The front desk kiosk feature has all but done away with having to require a front desk person.

Good for the price

Hello, Thank you for sharing about your experience; however it seems like what your cons are, we have available in the platform now. We hope that if you decide to switch softwares in the future, that we will be in your consideration set. We are constantly upgrading and will be even more robust since the last time you used our system. If you do rejoin us, we would love to provide additional help as you need to make sure you're getting the most out of all of our offerings.

Customer service is great and their developer team is great. They try to update and upgrade their system very often to provide more to us.

I highly recommand MyStudio app for all my friends who own any service business. 

MyStudio is "MUST" to have if you own any service business!!!

Speaker 1:                                             Hi, my name is Cd from Las Vegas, Nevada. I own a local martial arts school here in the Henderson area, and one of the things that we do is we run martial arts programs for kids ages four and up. Now, this is a big thing for us, using the MyStudio app to integrate with our customer base. We like to use this for everything from our new students on how they join our memberships, all the way through our current students who get a chance to build and add features. As the app continues to grow and continues to flourish, we get to add features for our customers as well. So we give the app a five out of five for being able to be useful for our customers and for helping us run our business.
                                                       One of the things about our martial arts school is that we run a business platform and then, of course, we would run our class features, and the biggest thing about MyStudio is that MyStudio allowed us to integrate both of them in order for us to run our business a lot more efficiently and smoothly. A lot of times when we first started running the programs, we would have spreadsheets over here and places over here and things that we had to check off constantly. MyStudio allowed us to integrate that into just a one platform use, and then of course use that for things like communication, videos, and so on to help our customers not only use our product, but learn more about us through videos and communications as well.
                                                       I think the most important reason we chose MyStudio was the ease of use. When we were looking at different platforms for how to improve our martial arts school, there are so many different ones that are out there, and they all just had their own different features, but MyStudio was just simple and easy. Everything was all in the same place. It was all on a dashboard. It could be communicated with from the dashboard. We could sign up people from the dashboard. Everything happens right in the same place. We didn't have to integrate other apps in order to have a successful use of the MyStudio business app. So they've also added features as we go, things that help us as a business owner actually communicate directly from mobile phones as opposed to just from the desktop feature as well. So everything that MyStudio has done, from the time we started until now, has been make the app easy to use for not only our customers, but for the business owners ourselves.
                                                       In the beginning, MyStudio just gave a basic outline for how to get started. As it's advanced, I know that they've added more features. For us, it was simple. We sent over our basic information, they helped us create the app, and then the app got launched on the App Store. Today, I know what you do is you work with a team of individuals who actually help you started in order to your app up and running and make it efficient for you and to save time if you're transferring from different programs.
                                                       I think the most important thing you need to do if you're going to be looking at CRM platforms is to make sure that you're looking directly at the ease of use and how well they are helping you operate your school. MyStudio happens to be just a simple platform that allows you to do all the things that you need to help operate your school. There are a lot of different flashier programs out there, and they are awesome as well, but if you are a school owner who's looking for simple way to integrate not only your business but your classroom information, then this is a great app to just make it simple and easy for you to get started.

                                                       Before MyStudio, I was looking into Zen Planner, but a few of my colleagues have it and weren't very happy with the quality of products they received. They found it very glitchy for how expensive it was. I was recommended MyStudio by my mom actually and she said it fits exactly what you needed for your school, so I highly recommend you getting it and I've been super happy with it.
                                                       The reason why I chose MyStudio is because my mom really recommended it to me because she was looking into MyStudio and she even met the owners of the company and she really liked it for what I needed. When I actually bought the product, it's been such a lifesaver. I'm tech savvy but not that tech savvy. For somebody who is familiar how to use computers and how to utilize it, the membership feature has been super, super helpful.
                                                       When it comes to automatic payments, it really does that for you. When it comes to things past due, this feature is one of the things I really enjoy is that if somebody owes pass due on their payment date, first off, you see who it is, you see how much they owe, and then you see all the contact information. If you wanted to contact them directly, it's like right there for you under their payments tab. The great thing with it, they have this automation where if they don't pay on time, they send emails to remind them and it just gives a relief off of me to not worry about. Also, you can always rerun payments as a list. It just makes it very easy for you to navigate through it versus having to filter through this huge Excel sheet.
                                                       Another thing too I really like about it is having the retail store that you could put any products you want on there, whether it's water bottles, merch or rash guards or apparel. It's super easy to share. You grab a link and you could just drop it to your students via text, DM, whatever you prefer. The number one I really appreciate, I didn't even know they had this feature, was they have a website template. This template's super easy to use. You're able to access it through the MyStudio portal and you'd be able to adjust it however you like. You put whatever photos in the gallery. You could put about you in there.
                                                       Another thing too about the website is that they could put a YouTube video. So it's like the first thing they see, and I really like it because when I was trying to figure out a website template, it was so overwhelming. Trying to do it on Squarespace, I don't know what to do. Even with the templates on Squarespace, it was so confusing and I was just lost and frustrated.
                                                       Another thing too I really appreciate about MyStudio is the customer service. I've called them maybe one too many times and they've been super patient with me and super helpful and they have really good hours where you could call them or message them on their instant chat on their website portal, and that's probably the biggest thing I appreciate from them, being patient with somebody who has to deal with. Of course, with any software there's a learning curve, but I feel like they really worked out the kinks and they still work on any kinks that you face.
                                                       If you have any issues, you could always let them know and they're like, okay, you can always fill this out as a form, and I think that definitely helps because they're always updating, which is really nice. It's not like they have this one product and they never update it. I think those feature has been super helpful for me as a business owner who's brand new to this and I highly recommend it for anybody who's starting out and want a system that they could rely on.
                                                       All right. So I opened up my academy a year ago to next month. The rollout, how to use MyStudio, of course with anything, it's a learning curve but it's really easy to pick up on. But I think that one of the features that's super helpful is the customer service because they're always willing to help and they have really good hours that overlap probably your business hours for you to contact them. Most of it seems straightforward, but I think the one thing I would really highly recommend when you start MyStudio is schedule a time of meeting with one of the professionals, and I think they have the option where you could schedule a time in a good hour and they just walk you through all the things you should know. I think that really helped out. I'm not about all companies, but I think that's rare to see for product to be offered. And then once you use it every day, you start to find all these awesome features that you could use. I mean, I didn't think it's hard, but I didn't think it was that hard compared to other softwares I've used.
                                                       One of the recommendations I would recommend if you're looking into getting MyStudio is really take advantage of the free trial. When I had it, I think it was a month, but it may be a week now. Using that free trial and actually using it, meaning that try to make a purchase on something and see how that looks through and it's exactly what you want. Trying out the app as a customer. So I have both of the apps, the MyStudio business, which is the black icon, and then MyStudio for customers is green and download both of them and really play with it and see if this is what you need and seeing what you recommend for that. I'm trying to think what else.
                                                       But also another thing I really highly recommend for you to do is schedule a time. After you go through the process of the trial, schedule a time and purchasing the product and schedule the time to meet with somebody who is MyStudio proficient on their team to help you walk through the software because it does really help because it's always better to get an expert and you tell them what you need and they can show you how to do it and they're super great about that.
                                                       I think my favorite feature about them is their customer service and it does help a lot, especially when you're a team of one being the manager and the salesperson and getting that advice from the person who owns or who works at MyStudio to help you the best with it. Yeah. I think those are the features I would recommend is just utilizing the free trial as much as you can and really play with the product and scheduling the time with the person at MyStudio to walk you through things that you would like to know.
