I use SimilarWeb a few times a week to look at a variety of different things.  Sometimes, just for the sake of curiosity, I will poke around and learn more about my industry or other things that interest me.  Definitely a useful tool for someone who has a variety of outside partnerships.

We operate in the field of IT and software solutions for native advertising by offering a platform that allows advertisers to advertise on various publishing entities, among some of the most famous in the world, such as Yahoo, and all the other properties related to Yahoo, and we provide the readers with the content that they are looking for and they're interested in, in order to achieve the moment of the next big thing. When it comes to Similarweb, I score Similarweb five out of five, since after its introduction, we've seen some very interesting results in terms of activities that our account managers and sales managers can do, so that they can improve the relationship with their customers, and be capable of fostering more and more business between us, and their companies.
                                                       We used other software such as Winmo, we used the Comscore kind of solutions. Similarweb was evaluated among some of the possible alternatives to Comscore, and as also a companion tool to keep aside Winmo, so that we could have a solution that's more dedicated towards our account managers. What we enjoyed, it's definitely the possibilities and capabilities of the tools, alongside the way in which the support received has been really great, and this makes our user's life really easy.
                                                       It was very easy to integrate Similarweb at our company because we had a lot of support from our CSM. We had a dedicated person within our business operations group that worked towards making sure that everybody could get a license quickly, and be trained on the materials, and on the platform itself.
                                                       As an advice that I would give for Similarweb, I think it's mainly related to understanding and documenting the case studies and making this ready for the operational teams on the ground, so that they can easily understand how they can deliver value through Similarweb to their customers, so that besides a simple vendor, the account manager can be considered by the customer as a partner, so that we can really deliver value, rather than just trying to get something out of the customer.

Before SimilarWeb Pro, we had an internal tool that some of our developers put together just to learn some insights for other competitors for keywords. We realized we needed something more robust in order to get those different competitive understandings of the marketplace and what keywords folks would end up on our site with, and knew that something like this was something that was affordable and could give us the insights that we needed. That is how we landed with SimilarWeb Pro and no regrets at this point.
                                                       Some of the reasons that we selected SimilarWeb Pro were to do with not just for the data, of course, which is number one, but also ease of use and just being able to understand a number of different things within the tool to give you that competitive advantage that one company would need. Yes, the data is super powerful and you can learn not just about what's going on out there outside of your own business but then what's going on analytically in terms of your own space. Learning, for example, the different keywords folks are coming in on, to what your SEO looks like, to what is actually happening on your digital experience.
                                                       Then of course, ease of use of the tool to the simple UI that it has, and of course just how you could take that reporting and make it into actual data driven decisions that help your company progress into the future is just a few of the reasons why we ended up going with SimilarWeb Pro. Getting started with SimilarWeb is pretty tough because, like I said, we did a number of things in-house before, before we had actually considered bringing on a tool for this type of data. For us, it took a lot of enablement just to understand, based off of the fact there was so much data, just to understand where to start, what meant what, and what, based off of all the competitive intelligence that was in this tool, was actually useful.
                                                       Found that at the beginning there was some overlap within a lot of the dashboards that existed and some of it, again, didn't really make a whole lot of sense at the get go but something that over time and with the enablement and the help from the SimilarWeb team is that's something that you can get more understanding of as you go from, say, a free plan up until when you're a paid customer, that that enablement goes a long way as you progress through. Definitely a recommendation for those who are considering or who are already on SimilarWeb is just to use their team as part of your [inaudible 00:02:48] strategy internally, and making sure that your business use cases are part of the initial discussions as you're looking and considering a tool like this because competitive intelligence and these types of data that are out there are valuable but can you use it the right way? Do you know what you're doing, what you're trying to accomplish and what business problems, the whys, if you will?
                                                       If you can answer the whys, then you'll know what exactly you need and if whether or not this tool, SimilarWeb, will be the answer for you. What I can say is, there's so much data and so many ways you can go about it and things that you can learn that if you have enough use cases in-house that you want answers on that will make and impact your business, then SimilarWeb Pro will make the difference for you.
