Overall, it's a good replacement for Hipchat but I do hear complaining from my team about it frequently.
Low cost, option to self-host, open-source, active development, generally fast. Cloud option was an easy setup. Overall, it works.
It needs polish. There are lots of little things that cause friction: they're annoying or confusing. For instance, aliases are case-sensitive (gets my team constantly). Alias completion has a very slight delay which makes it hard to use. I can't set the order of my groups and direct messages on the left pane. The notification options are confusing and difficult to use.

Good app for communications with useful features such as selective tagging and color coding of names and mentions. Replies to messages can be made through emojis leading to less clutter and spam massages. Replies can also be made in a thread like manner to any messages leading to very orderly display of messages.
Selective tagging of teammates inside a particular chat and the option to get notifications only from direct tagged mentions. Replies to messages in thread like manner and emoji replies help in keeping the UI orderly and have less clutter.
Significant delays in updating of messages leading to improper communications during critical project times. Takes several attempts of refreshing to get the latest messages and mentions.

Internal communication has improved a lot, both with direct supervision and with other colleagues and sectors
The ease in sending group or individual messages and the fact that we send messages to other sectors of the Company (through pre-created groups).
Even in the network environment, it "falls" (more often than a similar solution). But, perhaps it is due to the number of users registered on the network.

Quick and easy tool for everybody.
I like it for live chat, making groups or discussions.
Sometimes its hard to use it on the mobile phone and icons are really small.

Overall I’d recommend it. I wonder if I can use it outside of business for me and my friends.
So far Rocket.Chat is pretty good. It’s actually easy to use, everyone can chat at once, it’ll show what messages that has been unread. And what has been place in the chat that day.
It’s doesn’t really make a loud sound notifying when a direct message is available, other than that it’s fine.

I can do everything that i want to do. It is very easy to customize and adapt for your need. They also have good support for your problems and they are very fast to answer you.
There are few bugs, but it is not in the core business. It happens in some features which is not so important for users.

My previous workplace used RocketChat for internal communication. It was a big upgrade from Spark, which was a very basic and out-dated instant messaging program
Now that I’ve used Slack I realize how clunky RocketChat was. There were consistent issues with connectivity, loss of message history and several of my coworkers had to uninstall and install the tool each month. Just get Slack.

Overall, experience is good, I recommend to try once
First time, I heard about this software when we have to organize a virtual conference at a large scale, to connect people across world, is so easy and integration on the other hand works smoothly. Easy to control, no such ads available in between. Can create different channel and groups for specific work place.
I think it's basic theme, it just so simple, for a new person it's not that catchy or attractive than then the other competitive application available in the market.

excellent options for customization that allows for any company to personalize their chat performance.
the changes that you would want to make are difficult to test beyond trial and error style of changes. it is not obvious which sections apply to which sections when you mess around with the font/color/style/formatting. The update for the rocket chat actually crashed my program on my windows 10 system and i had to downgrade back to an earlier version to get it to work again

Good and is satisfied with its use. And is a very good open source communication tool.
Friendly designed interface and this tool supports LDAP. Funny and creative emojis that helps in delivering the messages in a more innovative manner.
At times the applications is slow to respond. When we access the application from the start menu, it does not come up directly, it lies hidden on the bottom right corner silently.

Today this chat has replaced all other way to communicate or share information into the team.
It is free to use and has now replace all other way to communicate in my projet. All basic feature are available: channel, groups, one to one chat etc...
Sometime the notification comes with delays, I don't know if this setting is due to Rocket.Chat or my browser/OS.

We use free version, as we installed it on our server. Very easy to use
If you're building your company and don't want to spend money for chat softwares, Rocket is one of the bests ! It's very beautiful and UX is almost the same as Slack or Discord You'll see many features to help you chat with your teams
Give the installation work to developers, or else you'll have to pay for the cloud version

I like the simplicity of this app. It is very easy to use and implement, providing real-time communication.
Does not work with Sharepoint. I have small issues with previewing Amazon.

Rocket.chat is open source and you can run it yourself. Their feature list is almost on par with competitors like Slack.
Setting up your own Rocket.chat can be a headache and could be better to just use free Slack or paid Slack (if you need enterprise control)

Polished solution that gave us a quick replacement to Slack. No more 10k message limitation pruning old useful conversation/fixes in a tech setting.
When the world seems to be using Slack and one room moves to Rocket.Chat, it just means another client/tab to have open. I can't fault them for that... just hoping the rest of the world moves over too. Ha!
