Great features, possibility, fun and ownership. Ownership is the most important. To develop is like cooking. You know what exactly what kind of ingredient you put into the bowl and that makes it taste so good. When you know your ingredients, you can explore and test and try until you find something you real love. When you love it and people love it. Then it will be like a michelin stars.

Its easy to use when you have learned the basic and then you can start to create useful apps, until then you have to read and look youtube tutorials. And that its not to hard, you just need to put some effort to it.

The best thing about Appsheet is the app setup process. Simply by creating your spreadsheet data with all the basic designations you want in your app, the system automatically translates it into a functioning app. First time i tried it, I really couldn’t believe it worked. One great feature I love about building with Appsheet is also that you are able to make changes to base data structure right from the editor without needing to go directly into the source spreadsheet.

I didn’t like that I couldn’t set up a user sign up set up independent of the third party options available for signing up via google, etc.

It's convenient to use in developing internal tools.

The price is too high considering the many alternatives available out there.

Easy, cheap, and very fast in the development process until it can actually be used. Have a sophisticated system without having to create the system itself.

Limited in terms of UI/UX which makes it look clunky and boring when displayed to the user. The capacity of application users is also not clear, thus giving limitations to application makers to use AppSheet for large projects or not.

The ability to create a GUI without any coding whatsoever. Having the ability to work offline and then synchronise is also a great benefit.

Adding logic and some more complex stuff can be tricky. Trying to do simple things (such as changing the UI) is not as simple unless you thoroughly understand the system.

This online software is way more robust than I imagined. The highlight of using the software is the ability to easily integrate with Google Sheets and many other online data storage software like Dropbox. I like the preview functionality and the ease of viewing the app on my phone immediately without deploying anything. I have just been using it a couple of weeks thanks to an online app development course and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get something setup in a matter of minutes. I am a software developer, but anyone who has some online savvy and is good with Excel can pick this up very easily!

The one widespread con about this software is that there is a "Share" link to share the app that cannot be removed. It is a known issue and although there is a workaround, it is not pretty.

Simple to use, a lot of features available and easy to configure. A lot of cloud DB connectors available. Too smart to not use it !

I liked how, in spite of being very easy to use and understand, it is incredibly powerful and can do so much!

The cost, but it's still great value, we just get screwed in NZ because of the exchange rate :)

The ease of managing the functionality of your app and the documentation is really helpful. The app community is also a very accessible and convenient platform to discuss and seek guidance

Since there is so much margin to grow on this platform you tend to start feeling a bit restricted with the features available.

-Allows personalized Apps to be used in a format that's subjective to the user. For example, we have an app that allows us to report Near-Misses and incidents on site and have it distributed to our company.

I would say that you need an IT professional to get them properly uploaded and running in the App. That's expected to be honest, everything can't be too easy ;)

The possibilities with AppSheet are endless. I built an app that shows a listing of odd inventory for our lumber company. While the system does require some knowledge of formulas, conditional formatting and database structure, most of that can be learned through their tutorials.

Activating the app on user's phones can be somewhat annoying. Unless you go to the higher paid tier, you can only use Google accounts to access the app.

The ease of use. No coding required. You can gradually build your app and learn while doing this. I found there was a gradual learning curve that met my needs and my capability.

Sometimes, it takes a long to synchronize. The way to correct mistakes that you make is not always obvious and you will need help. But on the other hand, the community is large enough and very helpful, so you will never have these problems for a longer period.

Its the ease of building an app from a Google Sheet and then having the freedom to shape it up with a full-fledged admin panel. And the beauty is that I haven't had to use the admin panel for months together: the app has been going on and on, without any interruption! I have no piece of hardware or software to worry about or monitor on a daily basis

You can create your own applications for your business with less resources, both time and money. It allows you to build your own applications using your business' data and with not too complicated programming. Application design is limited and quite simple but the relatively short amount of time it takes to build an app using AppSheet makes it worth it.

As mentioned before, the limited customization options. Also, applications can run slowly if the user is using a not so powerful device.

Really Versitile and can automate and handle many business needs.

Not much training videos or guides avaliable. Outdated training materials online.

Almost all functionality that I look for is available.

Performance to be increased

Ability to customize just about anything is really wonderful; the layout of the work space in the app designer and ability to cross reference tables. These are just some pros.

The sync time seems to be a bit of an issue, also definition of formulas and their functions could use a little more detail, especially those that differ from Google Sheets formulas.

The ability to share information at all levels using the smartphone. Anyone at any time, whether at home or at work, can upload new information or simply be informed about the status of a job

Many users ask me if an Italian version is available. It could be a solution to implement support in major languages, in addition to English, Spanish, German, and Italian

Appsheet is very easy to use. I can create an app from a spreadsheet in minutes without programming skills. Just common sense and a very short learning curve

It would be best if every it would allow user names and passwords without the use of an external verification source such as google

Formulas entry on spreadsheets using fill helps, I would like to see something like that if possible. I would like to see format options on column structure to change the size and format of individual questions.

The way it easily creates a professional looking app. Plus, although frustrating to try to fix a error I like the way it tells you there is a error. Truly a great app. Thanks.

It has its limitation right now. I am hoping this is a development problem so that this is something that keeps getting better. For instance I would like to have the gps / map functionality report the schools, churches, malls, restaurants, points of interest such as parks on the map. As a realtor I created a app that shows my team our listings. It would be a wonderful thing if I could also say where are the closest schools. Further I would then like to with the tap of a button send a feature sheet to the buyers email. That allows me to ask for a email.
