GetFeedback Features In Depth

Building Surveys

Anyone who has used Powerpoint or Keynote should be familiar with how to use GetFeedback’s survey building tool. Surveys are composed of three main sections—a title page, survey questions, and a thank you page. Multiple question types are available, including multiple choice, ratings, short answers, and even picture choices, to name just a few. Surveys can be designed to include images and videos, as well.

To create your own survey, click “Create New Survey” and start working on your title page. Make your way through the three main sections (title, questions, and thank you page), and adjust the branding and theme to fit in with your own organization. Everything you do in GetFeedback is responsive, and it will display equally well on any device (mobile or desktop).

Sending Surveys

Companies have to be careful about how their surveys are distributed these days. GetFeedback offers a way for its users to send their surveys in a professional manner, with powerful email capabilities designed exclusively for collecting customer feedback.

The way your emails will look depends on the survey you’re sending out. Your emails automatically inherit the look of your GetFeedback surveys, providing for a more cohesive, branded, consistent experience for your customers. In most cases, customers will see a large call-to-action in the emails you send out prompting them to “Get Started” and take your survey right away.

Embedding Surveys

GetFeedback has made it easy for users to embed their surveys online. Embedding surveys on websites, web apps, and social media pages tends to generate higher survey completion rates, and it can help promote an organization’s other online properties. Surveys can be setup to open in a lightbox, as well.

Your survey can be embedded with a basic iframe. To embed the survey, replace the link identified in the src element with the link for your survey. GetFeedback also provides you with the freedom to change the width or height of the iframe to match the design of your own website or blog.

Collaborating & Sharing Files

GetFeedback provides its users with powerful team sharing and collaboration capabilities. Users can share, copy, or collaborate on surveys with others inside their organizations. At many of the large organizations that use GetFeedback, the users creating survey questions are different from those analyzing the responses. GetFeedback caters to these professionals with its collaboration tools.

Login to your GetFeedback account and participate in whichever aspect of the survey creation process you’re a part of. (If you’re a content expert, then you’ll most likely be involved in the front-end of the process, whereas an analyst would jump in after survey responses had already been collected.) You can share a survey with other members of your team and collaboration on the design process, or you can get specific and choose to only share the results with teammates once the survey is complete.

Analyzing Survey Results

Arguably most important part of a survey is the data. GetFeedback provides a robust analytics component, allowing users to quickly generate Summary Reports and Detail Results based on the responses generated by their surveys.

GetFeedback’s Summary Report overlays survey results on top of each question. These reports can be shared with a report URL, and results are displayed in real-time. Detail Results help analysts understand how the surveys they’ve distributed will actually impact their organizations, with individual responses shown in descending or ascending order. Both the Summary Report and Detail Results are necessary to truly measure the impact of an online survey.

It just works...

All mobile-ready and aligned to our branding. Other tools I've used are clunky and look absolutely awful - this feels like modern survey software, for me as a user, and for our audience consuming the surveys.

Pros

- Really darn simple and easy to use - Gorgeous design - Higher response rate do to UI and mobile-optimzation over other services I've tried

Cons

More integrations would always be nice though key ones are already there (like Salesforce, etc).

Collect customer feedback with ease

Pros

Besides, it lets you collect feedback across multiple channels including email, text, website, mobile, and social media. There are several survey themes to choose from which lets you create a survey in a couple minutes.

Cons

A bit pricey for small businesses and startups but it pays off. The price is the only hurdle that might stop someone from going for GetFeedback.

We have only used the free trial, but we will be continuing on to purchase the product so that we can monitor future customers during the sales process and understand areas that need improvement.

Pros

GetFeedback has a robust design interface that makes it incredibly easy to design stunning, simple feedback surveys.

Cons

It doesn't fully integrate with some of the other applications we use, but these are fairly specific tools and some do not even have open APIs.

Hands down - just get it.

We've used multiple apps to handle surveys and our website feedback, always leaving something to be desired, whether it was a Salesforce.com CRM integration snag, or visually designing the survey itself to look somewhat close to our brand visual standards.

Pros

Ease of use, responsive design built-in, SFDC integration works, visual approach to survey is unmatched.

Cons

Still new and some more technical/robust survey requirements may not be possible yet, but it seems like that's constantly changing.

We are currently using GetFeedback to send Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) surveys to various clients of our across different segments.

Pros

Multiple surveys allowed Surveys are very customizable, as there are multiple questions types and different ways to display the answers and for the users to choose from You can customize your survey so that it retains who replies to it, either their email address or any other information.

Cons

Reporting is not very sophisticated, and we found it difficult to extract specific results in relation to our specific survey responses.

I would prefer, if the summary report, could look more like a dashboard. It is kind of annoying to scroll between each section, in order to view the responses (I know you can just download an Excel-file or a .csv-file, but it's just not that pretty).

Pros

The level of conditionality that can be introduced to surveys, as well as the ease of use for survey participants.
