What users say

It is responsive, accurate and easy to use. Great GPS tracking, great for job costing and helping employees track their time to jobs accurately as they switch between jobs throughout the day.
I really like that I can use it on my laptop or phone and switch between the two, plus the job-costing feature is fantastic.

Really usefull time tracking and scheduling program

Reviewed 2 months ago

I like this program and would definately recommend it but i wish it were still less costly than it is

Pros

Its very simple and easy to use as the administrator. Easy to share content anf schedules between myself, clients, and my rmployees. Organized, simple, and straightforward to use

Cons

I dont like the appearance and lack of options for the calendar and still feel. Its a bit expensive even though being one of the more affordable software options available.

Quickbooks - The Ultimate Tool for every business

Reviewed 4 months ago

Experience was good and smooth. Support is always a phone call away.

Pros

I liked the estimates and invoicing part the best. I could work a 2 hour job and have the client sign the invoice on my phone.

Cons

The pricing structure for small businesses are abit overly priced, maybe sell a service for very small businesses who are just starting up.

A Powerful and Easy-to-Use Time Tracking Solution for Small Businesses

Reviewed 2 months ago

QuickBooks Time is a fantastic tool for small businesses that need a simple and effective way to track employee time and manage project budgets. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to start using the software right away, and the integration with QuickBooks accounting software ensures that all of your data is seamlessly synced. The customizable reports and export options allow you to get the information you need, when you need it, and the ability to track time from anywhere using the mobile app is a major convenience. Overall, QuickBooks Time is a powerful and affordable time tracking solution that I highly recommend.

Pros

It offers mobile app access, allowing users to track time from anywhere. These features make QuickBooks Time a convenient and powerful tool for small businesses looking to improve their time tracking and project management processes.

Cons

pricing is not transparent, their customer service is poor, and they hold client payments for an excessive amount of time. These factors make it difficult and frustrating to use their software.

Set Up Made Easy

Reviewed 3 years ago

Tsheets has helped me manage my employees schedules, track their time, integrate with quickbooks payroll. This way I don't have to spend time looking at a different time system, printing the pdf document and then entering in the employees time into quickbooks to pay the employee. Also our company always has some employee that "forgot" to punch in or out and I was always having to fix it for them. Tsheets gives me the ability to have them fix it themselves or have another manager edit the time. The app is very user friendly and it seems to work well for my company.

Pros

The best thing about Tsheets for me is that I can use it with my quickbooks payroll and my employees can track their time and manage their missed clock in & outs themselves. This has really saved me some time during my day to give my employees some responsibility for their timesheets.

Cons

There is not much I don't like but if I have to pick one it would be the price. I am on the advanced level of quickbooks and use payroll also, and for the price I pay for that I think tsheets should be included as part of my subscription because they work so well together.

T-Sheets is our most valuable business tool!

Reviewed 7 years ago
Pros

We started using T-Sheets to track our employee time in 2013. Our employees work at multiple job sites doing everything from construction, industrial Electrical Wiring and Equipment Installations. This software allows them to clock in/out from the job site noting the customer and service item instead of having to come to the shop to use an old fashioned time clock or the hand written time sheets...

Cons

Reports could use some work.... Also, need an easier way to document when employee is absent or late. Right now there is a work around with the Paid time off, but it does not allow you to make specific notes which is necessary for documentation purposes.

DM was so helpful!

Reviewed 6 years ago

I needed help setting up permissions for an assistant and DM not only helped me figure out how to use what I had already set up for her, he gave me new options to maximize our productivity, reduce my work load, and he wasn't even promoting a product that was going to cost me extra--just sharing features that I hadn't yet taken advantage of! He was patient and very good at listening. Tsheets has been great at customer support in general--probably one of the best companies at actually LISTENING to their clients. He made me feel like I was asking good questions--and appreciated the feedback I had so we could make this software/program even more user-friendly. Thank you DM! Great experience today.

Pros

I love that it saves me 30+ hours each pay period because I don't have to manually enter all of my employees' timesheets, line by line. I love that it has GPS tracking, and the customer service is really fantastic.

Cons

Navigating it takes some time. Also, there aren't options in Spanish--half of our staff doesn't speak/read English because of the industry we're in. It would be SUPER helpful to be able to translate (at least their app menu options and notifications, maybe some tutorials) into Spanish for them. Being in the states, I TOTALLY appreciate them needing to learn English, but for those who have difficulty reading period--even in their own language, at least they can be reading it in their own language, so it's a little bit more user-friendly. It saves me having to try to answer a whole lot of questions, too, in a language I am not fluent in.

Very Helpful

Reviewed 2 months ago

Overall, while QuickBooks offers a range of benefits and features, it is important for organizations to carefully consider their specific needs and requirements before committing to the software.

Pros

QuickBooks is an excellent software product that has helped my business in many ways. The user-friendly interface and robust features make it easy to manage and track our finances, from invoicing and bill payment to generating reports and analyzing data. The integration with other tools, such as our bank account and credit card, makes it simple to keep our financial information up-to-date and accurate. Additionally, the customer support team is always helpful and responsive, which has been a huge asset for our business. Overall, I would highly recommend QuickBooks to any business looking for a comprehensive and effective financial management solution.

Cons

While QuickBooks is a popular and effective financial management tool, it does have some limitations and potential drawbacks. Some of the potential cons of using QuickBooks include:Cost: QuickBooks can be expensive, particularly for small businesses or organizations with limited budgets. The cost of the software, as well as any additional licenses or modules, can add up quickly.Complexity: QuickBooks...

I Love TSheets - is the best thing since sliced bread :)

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

It's incredibly user friendly. We have a complex company setup, our needs are very lengthy, but no matter what we've thrown at them... they have catered to us and made it work! The platform is flexible enough to seamlessly fit our needs. The few hurdles we've faced were easily overcome. The main problems we have run into were issues with syncing TSheets data into Quickbooks (where we run our payroll)....

Cons

I wish we had a single account rep that managed our company's account... however, even though we call a toll free number, the system is simple and quick. It isn't like most other places where you must press 5 buttons and listen to multiple, lengthy menus before getting to talk to a human. You literally press one button and within 20 seconds someone answers the phone. And that same person who answered...

Pros

This is a full fledged HR Management Application covering end-to-end features. Using this app empowered HR department to be more effective and our employees/users got their work/service done at breeze with speed!

Blue Dog Exteriors

Reviewed 6 years ago

Overall I believe the product is beneficial and works reasonably well. There is learning curves to everything. So, it takes a bit of getting use to the format and reports. I used a paper system before so having a system available on my phone/laptop is beneficial. The gps tracking system has generally been a positive thing to know the where abouts of personnel. The sytem also keeps people honest on actual times of arrival and departure. I tried a few other systems before TSheets and I found TSheets the easiest to understand when looking at the different reports and options. Some systems seemed to be written by programmers using terminology that was difficult to follow or undertsand. The words, descriptions and reports didn't make it easy without referencing a manual.

Pros

1) GPS tracking & Who's working features available at a glance 2) Employees can add notes to timesheets if they don't take lunch or forget to log in/out 3) Validation of hours and locations of employees 4) Summary of project hours by employee 5) Various reports available for payroll, project and employee 6) Easy for employees to use from Android or IPhones

Cons

I have not fully utilized TSheets so some of my Cons may be due to my lack of experience or understanding. 1) I have set up Add Ons for clocking in and out. If employees clock in at 8:01 for example they will get paid starting at 8:15. If they clock out at 5:14 it will go back to 5:00. The problem is when they switch between projects they lose 15 min. Currently they notify me and I adjust accordingly. 2)...

Timekeeping in QuickBooks Time

Reviewed a year ago

It does save me a ton of time in tracking and payroll. It's also helped us out with determining accurate pricing for some of our services.

Pros

It integrates very well with the QBO platform, so if you're already using Quickbooks Online and Online Payroll, it's probably your best option. It's also pretty customizable, allowing it to be used for a variety of unique situations.

Cons

Intuit's customer support is useless. They're not empowered to do much of anything except tell you they can't help. At least that's been my experience. I did get good support during onboarding, but in general, if I call with an issue, they're mostly just hanging out on the phone with me while I more or less figure it out on my own.

Good Software

We are still on a 30 day trial but we will be activating the software when the trial is up. It helps us understand how we are doing on our jobs by having the employees punch in and out at the specific jobs.

Pros

Payroll reports are easy - Manual time entries are easy - Allows you to job cost your jobs easily and helps you understand how your margins on your jobs are. Also like the geofencing option on the jobs.

Cons

User friendly to an extent. It is all pretty self explanatory, but I do spend some time trying to figure things out. I feel like I have used other software's that are more simple to use, but they don't integrate with QuickBooks and they are not as detailed nor do they job cost.

GREAT customer support and integration with my Quick Books accounting software for job costing!

Reviewed 3 years ago

We tried another time tracker tool prior to this and their mobile app was not good. It also made job costing impossible. With Tsheets my remote employee team is very happy with the application on their phone and I've been very impressed with the integration with QB and the usability of Tsheets online for time approvals and reporting.

Pros

Prior to starting my business, I was a project manager leading multi-million dollar projects for a global financial firm. I also was responsible for a large global team. As such, i know the value of having key metrics available to run my business. However, as a small business owner and smaller team at start up, i lack the time and resources that i previously had to build software to capture these....

Cons

Given I'm a QB desktop user, the integration I'm assuming is a bit more clunky then with QB online, but I don't have any complaints.

most effective time and attendance system

Reviewed 4 months ago

Businesses now frequently employ mobile and remote workers. However, allowing your workers to work away from the office creates special difficulties for keeping track of their hours. Businesses with mobile workforces want a time and attendance system that allows for flexibility in working from any place, can track employee locations, and has an extensive mobile app. For managing a mobile workforce, such as field staff and service workers, QuickBooks Time by Intuit is our top pick for time and attendance software. There are several options for field workers to clock in and out with QuickBooks Time, including a web interface and a mobile app, as well as a location to save client notes and maps. Additionally, the cloud-based system includes GPS monitoring and geofencing to ensure mobile

Pros

-Using the web dashboard, smartphone app, or digital QuickBooks Time Kiosk, employees may clock in and out. -Both managers and staff have access to a job activity feed within the app and can add project notes. -Managers can get real-time GPS tracking and define geofence boundaries. -Expenses and distance can be tracked with QuickBooks Time.

Cons

-Support through phone and live chat is only accessible Monday through Friday, beginning at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. PT. -Both a monthly fixed price and a monthly per-employee fee are charged by QuickBooks Time.

The best I found for IT consultants

Reviewed 3 years ago

We like TSheets - tried a dozen other apps a few years back and it works and price is right for a small business. SUpport good but they never take on feedback or ideas - they give it lip-service but nothing ever gets developed from ideas - no idea pool or formal "wish list" or feature request system

Pros

Web based, works well with QBO, good app both ios and android. As IT consultants it does allow us to log all our interactions with clients (onsite or remote) and charge each a certain rate (various service items for each rate)

Cons

no native ipad app , cant overlap times, can start jobs in future, cant end jobs in future (eg round updown) - we work on many jobs at once, we realise you need security to stop staff form getting mixed up, but we own our company so we should be allowed to set start/stop times as we wish - make is an option for power users. QBO Does not bring in the START/STOP times into the invoice (it puts them into QBO but QBO does not put it into the decription field - need option to add start /stop times into description) We like to show our clients our start/stop times and have to manually put them into decriptions

It Gets the Job Done

Reviewed 3 years ago

I like the product. It tracks employees time, allows you to track their location, you can easily run reports based on jobs, pay period, employee, etc. The price is economical. I believe there are probably more features than I am aware of because they are not easily discovered.

Pros

I appreciate the location tracking and ease for my employees of clocking in from their phone. I like that I can see who is clocked in at a glance of my screen.

Cons

There are some issues with the time tracking being reliable. My employees often report that they have been clocked out by the app and also the auto clocking back in after a lunch break sometimes works and sometimes does not throwing off their time sheet.

Best time management system

Reviewed 2 months ago

The convenience of having everything in one location is incredibly useful! Naturally, switching between many platforms causes a lot of human error. I, as well as the department managers who already have different platforms to keep track of for their own jobs, find it quite helpful to have everything in one place while still having the ability to double check time, bonuses, and PTO.

Pros

It is a simple process thanks to the auto-syncing with the QuickBooks Online platform and the simplicity of use for time tracking. The support is first-rate, and because it is adaptable, it may be used in a variety of circumstances. It aids in timekeeping for each employee you enter into the system. This software allows you to track where employees clock in and out as well as how often they spend time at each job site. Because the employee cannot check in from another location, this helps save a lot of money and time.

Cons

Some workers might not appreciate that it tracks your location while you're working, but the employer has the last say. Apart from perhaps the cost, this software doesn't really have many negatives.

We are keeping our overtime cost down. We are also able to track hours for certain jobs and that helps us to keep track of job costing and overall profits on a job.

Pros

I like how we are able to track our employees throughout the day to help them to be more productive in their job. The notifications that we receive to let us know how many hours our employees have worked for the week, each day, helps us to keep overtime down. This software not only helps us but is a great tool for our employees. They can keep track of the hours they have worked to and compare that to their payroll checks. It keeps us both sides accountable to one another. There are too many great functions to mention. We have been with TSheets since October of 2012. The price for the software is very competitive. You can also down load the time into QB's. I also like that I am able to chat with an agent on line in regards to questions with the software and get a quick, helpful response.

Good Value For the Product And The Service

Reviewed 3 years ago

I use TSheets to track the time of the employees so that I can bill our clients. The system is working much better than doing it directly in excel like we used to do.

Pros

TSheets integrates very well with Quickbooks, and the price is very reasonable compared to other options in the market. Their customer service is excellent too. It works infinitely better than what we used to do: excel sheets.

Cons

TSheets is excellent, but if I had to point out some weak points: 1. It doesn't seem that adapted to the Engineering & Design market, where you bill hourly for the employees' time once a month. At the same time, it does allow for customization. It just takes some time to customize, but it does let you do it, to a certain extent. 2. It also has some funky things, like it doesn't let your employees...

Reviewed 3 years ago

TSheets is great for what it does, and the service is exceptional. Unfortunately for the price it's missing some pretty significant features so we can't recommend it as much as we'd like.

Pros

Ease of use. Reasonable price. Good reports for invoicing clients.

Cons

Not compliant with NV overtime laws, especially the rolling 24 hour day for lower wage employees in our primary client demographic (restaurants and cafes). Features turned off during recent updates and had to be reinstalled once we noticed they were gone. Limitations of the iPhone app functionality for administrators.

Accurate timesheets increase productivity

Reviewed 3 years ago

Accountability to my payroll pro and ultimately to myself is it's best advantage. Being able to generate reports with data that I can transfer into our accounting software saves us time which translates into dollars. Let's face it, labor is your number one cost. Tracking your employees without having to purchase expensive GPS equipment is the best you can get.

Pros

The GPS logging tells me when my crew shows up to the job. Each clock in and clock out has a GPS location associated with it so I know they aren't stuck in traffic trying to clock in. This has increased production because Im assured they are getting their 8 hours in. This is great when I cant physically be on the job site. With so many contractors available my margins are sometimes razor thin, I have to be able to account for every dollar. While this app doesn't magically make them work faster or better, it does ensure that I'm getting honest time from my subs and employees and I can show a marked increase in profits from it.

Cons

GPS is sometimes not so great. It's not the fault of the App which uses a phones location service. This is a combination of satellite and cell tower triangulation. Away from cities and urban areas, accuracy suffers. Still most of my work is around the 4th largest city in the U.S. so I'd rather use it then not have it.
