What is Checkmk?

Checkmk is an all-in-one IT monitoring system that helps SysAdmins and DevOps teams identify and resolve issues across their entire IT infrastructure—from simple to the most complex environments. We want to know and be informed about Problems at the Principal node, this way we can easily spare thousand of Info Mails and find it without spend hours find out where the real Problem is.

The menu structure is unintuitive in some cases and the Web API does not make use of HTTP response codes (You get a 200 even if the call fails). The Agent output is not encrypted by default.
