Overall its been pretty good. Im not a big social media fan so I like it to be as simple as possible to get my message across.
There are times that the software has been a little buggy for us. Sometimes images fail to upload or content fails to post due to errors.
I love that I can save drafts and schedule easily. This makes my social media strategy clear and streamlined with the ability to plan ahead.
I had an issue with integrating it with all my platforms. I forget which one, but I was missing one that I had to do separately.
I was excited to start using Hootsuite for the simple reason that I needed help managing my accounts. Like the very easy dashboard and functionality.
It may be user error, but it has proved an inconvenience at times.
It is recommended for its great ability to integrate to instagram, linkedin, pinterest and Facebook.
I hate that you have to have a public page in order to schedule content for Instagram. M sure it’s something to do with Instagram settings itself but it still pisses me off.

A great onboarding experience and a lovely and simple user interface. Love the smart inbox feature on the platform.
Very very disappointed and frustrated with the whole experience. Stick with FB and IG and don't waste your time and money.
Sprout Social also has very robust reporting for each platform and it has allowed me to have deeper insights into how our accounts and posts are doing. It's been a big lifesaver.
Lack of support for enterprise. Difficult to scale up using this tool.
It's been a great experience so far. They also have a great support team that you can work with to ensure that you're utilizing all of the platform features as best as you can.
The only other tool I can think of which would be missing is SEO in terms of Social.

My advocates love the platform, it's simple but powerful and has many great features such as templated challenge creation, social media linkage, and easy management of advocates.
Some of the functionality on the administrative side is frustrating, especially on the reporting side.

Act-On is extremely easy to use and starts providing working data immediately. Act-On has a quality product with a friendly UI and wonderful support when the occasional question comes up.
In some cases, metrics are just a bit confusing. In particular, there's a metric that compares SEO-type things, but the explanation is inadequate.
I like the breadth of capabilities with superior customer support by both the Customer Success Manager and Technical Support.
It could have better designed templates for emails and landing pages; the ones provided are dreadful. There is a major shortcoming, though, and I think it's a fatal one: e-mail deliverability.
There may be other big brands out there, but this is a great solution at an affordable price.
As a small business testing out systems this is horrible.
And the customer support was outstanding; at times, they were reaching out to me, asking me if I needed anything or if I had seen new features that were introduced, etc.
When we tried to cancel they refused and sent the account to a collection agency...well done Act-on. Any world class software company doesn't try to trick clients into sticking with them.
It's user friendly, has a nice design, and serves the basic purpose of helping you stay in touch with your customers and build a marketing plan for your brand.
AVOID these guys at all cost. The ux is poor and you'll need a dedicated in house resource to learn and operate a sub-optimal system.

I also enjoy seeing what's trending overall, and find it very useful to identify influencers in a certain topic area. The design of the site is also very intuitive, good looking and easy to use.
Sometimes the mentions I get are from weird or low-value publications/sites.
Interesting features that are very useful for social listening and seeing what is trending on social media or the news.
The navigation can be confusing at times, especially the sections I don't use.
Depending on the topic and task at hand, Buzzsumo can be a rather useful tool to get you some great content ideas. Used it a couple of times to get ideas of headlines and content ideas.
Free trial very limited in functionality. Also severely lacks features compared to other "real" SEO software companies when it comes to backlink research.
I really like the tool, especially the "questions" part. It's really useful for your influencer's strategy and for your backlinks strategy as well.
Lowest pricing tier is quite expensive unless you are a content marketer.
The tool is also intuitive and easily adjusted to cater to changing client needs. The ability to assess the social impact of published media is also extremely useful.
I used BuzzSumo for 18 months for a client. Just love the influencer feature it provides that lists all the twitter influencers on a particular topic with their followers info.
It was almost magical to be able to explore a list of most effective pieces for specific audiences and sectors. The newer visualisation features are really easy to use.
So far, not overly a great deal of value for money but happy to extend this subscription for a few more months.
Overall, I'd recommend the tool for content marketing, but if you do any other type of marketing, it may be better to consider something like SEMrush with other tools built in to your subscription.

This is a powerful tool that can help you improve performance of your landing pages - with a fairly clear interface.
Not having a 'Copy & Paste' function, nor an 'Undo' button. When I train partners within our organization, this is the biggest initial complaint.
Good selection of integrations (also easy to set up) to leading Marketing Automation platforms for sending over the data to. Really good support that provides quick and helpful responses.
We struggled with landing page development timing by going through our internal IT team.
I love how setting up tests and traffic allotment is. I am also a huge fan of the ability to make simple graphic changes to the landing pages - it is VERY easy.
Sometimes, features that I use daily may disappear without notice. Whether they're gone forever or simply moved around to somewhere else is usually unclear.
The capabilities are top of the line and make for great email marketing. The design is clean and crisp looking and really stands out amongst competitors.
The only problem that i have is the background alignment. For example that I want to have the full background image to appear in the inner content section, but it always shows up the part of it.
Excellent creative - tons of themes and landing pages that can be customized just about any way you want.
