Discover the Power of Authorize.Net

Reviewed a year ago

Overall, Authorize.Net is a reliable and secure payment gateway service that offers a range of features and tools to help businesses accept and process payments online, in person, and over the phone. Its flexibility and integrations make it a convenient and flexible solution for businesses of all sizes and industries, although the cost may be a consideration for some businesses.

Pros

Authorize.Net is a very reliable and secured platform. The platform is PCI compliant and uses advanced security measures to protect our customers data and ensure secure transactions. It also offers a range of fraud prevention tools, such as address verification and card code verification. Those features helped us to reduce the risk of fraudulent activity. Another pro is the platform's flexibility and integrations. Authorize.Net supports a variety of payment types, including credit cards, debit cards, and electronic checks, and it can be easily integrated with a wide range of shopping carts and e-commerce platforms. This makes it a convenient and flexible solution for businesses of all sizes and industries.

Cons

Nothing to complain, but this platform requires merchants to have a merchant account in order to use its services, which can be an additional cost for businesses that do not already have one.

Simple payment gateway

Reviewed 4 years ago

We use authorize.net for subscriptions, not our regular eccommerce transaction. It's worth the cost if you have enough transaction volume.

Pros

Deposits are quick enough and usually only take a couple of days. Works well if you need to accept electronic checks.

Cons

Customer service is basically nonexistent. You're better off searching online forums for troubleshooting issues. Account specific resolutions take a ton of time.

Simple, easy, effective

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall, Its an okay software. If you are looking for the most basic cost-effective system then Authorize.net is great. If you are looking for some bells and whistles with more options of what you can do, I would suggest something else.

Pros

The fees are much smaller compared to competing software. Reports are easy to read and find.

Cons

If any refunds or evaluations need to be made for a payment, you must wait at least 24 hours for the transaction to settle before processing any type of refund. This has caused some issues with customers and would love to be able to do it on the spot. The launch of the software was a little shakey. We received multiple error codes that customer support could not help us with.

It has been an awesome experience more so due to its accurate fraud prevention feature that never fails at detecting any fraudulent activity coupled with the electronic payments which are quite fast. Besides, it integrated very easily with our company system.

Pros

It is very easy to implement and has a perfect reporting interface

Cons

The only issue it the pricing which may not favor every user

less expensive versions

Reviewed 6 months ago

it is okay, but possibly will be looking for less expensive options that might be mobile

Pros

very nice staff, always helpful when I need it.

Cons

small businesses need less expensive options, I do not have a credit card option to scan out in the common room, just my computer. The hand held unit that I was given years ago, never worked and [sensitive content hidden] never tried another option.

Authorize.Net

Reviewed 4 years ago

Overall, I would not recommend Authorize.Net for small companies. I feel they are too expensive and their setup procedures much too complicated.

Pros

Authorize.Net is if nothing else, serious about security. I feel its above-and-away the most secure payment processing application on the market. I used it when I was first starting out in business and for the most part, I feel I was well taken care.

Cons

For my processing needs, I felt Authorize.Net was too expensive. I can appreciate their dedication to security, but the initial setup was long and cumbersome. Also, I was very taken back when they pulled a credit report without informing me of their intention to do so.

Can only recommend for large teams, not small businesses.

Reviewed a year ago

Overall, while Authorize.Net is a reliable payment gateway, my experience with the company has been barely satisfactory and I switched to Razorpay.

Pros

I only have a few pros as I did not like Authorize.Net as much and I have already switched. Authorize.Net is a well-known payment gateway, which can be beneficial for for customer trust. One positive aspect also, is its security measures. The company uses advanced technology to ensure that all transactions are secure and encrypted, which is important for both us and consumers. It also allows us to accept a wide range of payment options, including credit cards, debit cards, and electronic checks. This makes it easy for us to accept payments from a variety of customers. It also allowed us to customize the look and feel of our payment forms, making it easy to create a seamless, branded payment experience for customers.

Cons

-One of the things that I have found frustrating about Authorize.Net is the fees. While the company does offer competitive pricing for its services, the fees can add up quickly.-Another issue I have had with Authorize.Net is the customer support. While the company does offer 24/7 support, I have found that the quality of support can be inconsistent.

Reliable and Affordable

Reviewed 5 years ago

Overall, it's been good. They're not as hard to deal with in terms of chargebacks as some of their main competitors.

Pros

Pretty easy to set up in the WordPress installs we use it on, and never had an issues with reliability.

Cons

The costs are normally higher than some of our alternatives, and sometimes it doesn't have as many features like in-application refunds with WooCommerce.

Simple, easy, and effective way to get payments!

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

Our team mainly uses this software for the credit card processing for our events. It's quick, amazingly reliable, and super easy to use. I appreciate the time value of this software and love how quickly I can collect card information.

Cons

I wish the software had a live link or a way for clients to be able to access the link to put their own credit card information in rather than us having to do it ourselves.

Does what it needs to, but is a bit more expensive than we anticipated

Reviewed 7 years ago

Authorize.net was referred to us by our bank, so we went with them. On paper the fees and rates seemed reasonable. Once we started using it, the fees mounted and they routinely add new ones. I spoke with customer service and they say that our agreement allows them to add and/or change fees without any recourse. We haven't been thrilled, but we have 1 year left on our contract. Read the fine print. Watch out for annual fees, etc. There are lots of options out there and we would choose differently if we knew then what we know now.
