Ease of use is what I like best about this software. Also, the fact that there is always someone there to help walk you through using the software.

Integrated calendar and polls work well to keep all members connected in between meetings. And everything has permissions settings to allow/ disallow access to pretty much anything you like.

The Academy is very helpful and the integration process has been fairly easy on the administrative end.

I love this software; it has eliminated the need for dozens of emails before a board meeting. It is only a little over a year old, so they are still perfecting it and are very responsive to questions, requests for help and are open to users requests for changes in the way they do things.

It has streamlined our board communications and document storage in one convenient place for board meetings and committee communications.

When I give suggestions for improvement - they listen and have made the changes to their software!  I like the ease of online chat.   I wish some of the features were available on the lower tier for smaller nonprofits like ours.

Helped the smooth running of remote board meetings. The document feature allowed for easy dissemination of documents prior to meetings and the discussion and poll functions also assisted in meeting planning and preperation.

Super user-friendly and cost effective

Boardable Review: Excellent for use with multiple organizations!

Jason S.:                                              Hi. I'm Jason. I'm the executive director at the Highland Primary Care Network, also the executive director at the Bull Valley Primary Care Network. Organization, about 100 employees. I give Boardable, out of five, a five. For my unique needs, it works very, very well.
                                                       So we transitioned to Boardwalk from Director Point. One of the unique things around our organization is we put a bunch of organizations together and have a governing structure that oversees it. So it allows us to switch organizations very easily and also holds unique information only for the people to see who are allowed and able to see.
                                                       So when we decided that we're going to switch away from Director Point, we got a group of evaluators get together and evaluate different softwares that were out there. Our uniqueness to having a number of different organizations and corporations probably limited us to the amount and Boardable seemed to meet the needs of having a number of corporations where people could switch back and forth.
                                                       Onboarding, Boardable was a little bit of a unique situation. Because of our organization, we work with a number of doctors, over 1,000 doctors in our organizations and having to implement Boardable was a little bit of a challenge. So the organization sort of sent us links to basically log everybody in there. Our super users who, administratively, had went through a super user training and they've sort of trained the trainer methodology. But it was very easy and simplistic.
                                                       I highly recommend Boardable and I'll tell you a little bit about my organization's work. How we run is we run a number of different corporations. I'm reporting to two different boards. So we have an organization that basically has me as boss for two different entities and what Boardable allows is allows us to basically go into different organizations with different boards of directors. So on my, I say, front page, I see four different organizations, two different companies and then we have a joint provincial wide entity of committees where we meet and then we have sort of a best practice committee and that allows me to switch between four. So maybe the typical user would only see one. For myself, I see four and that's really great about it.

Board Meetings Ready in Minutes

Andrew C.:                                             Hi, my name is Andrew. I'm a Director of Minister Development in the non-profit industry, and I give Boardable five out of five stars.
                                                       Before Boardable, we used a mixture of Google Drive, Zoom, Dropbox. It was this whole conglomerate of a bunch of different things that we tried to moosh together to make suitable for our needs. As a result, we ended up printing almost 1,000 pages of documents before every single meeting to make sure everyone had what they needed. On the morning of, we wanted to have the most up-to-date documents and we'd find ourselves in moments where I'd have to reprint an entire agenda to make edits that we found the morning of. After a few months of wrestling with that, becoming new on-the-job learning, that was the structure we were using. It became a real big frustration. I realized there had to be something better that didn't involve killing a thousand trees. And at the same time hours longs of frustrations of building these binders and combining documents from every other place when there's got to be someplace that can do it all in one.
                                                       We actually began researching Boardable before the pandemic began and instituted it just a few moments before it actually started. Boardable seemed to be the place where we could do all of our business in one location. We could update it in real time. We could send out agendas, updated agendas, even within the meeting. We could take our minutes within the meeting. And so a lot of the options to help us contain all of our content to one place made it really appealing for our organization. It also helps us keep a good archive for the data and documents we provided in the past.
                                                       It allows us to go back quickly without having to dive through binders and notebooks and files. So we really enjoy Boardable because it centralizes all of our data. It makes it quickly and easily accessible. Even for the ability for our board members to customize how they use the data in real time. You know, we have some people who like to use the iPad. Some people who like to pull up another tab on their browser in the middle of our meetings. And so when we arrived at the pandemic, it became a seamless integration of what we were already doing. Agendas, meetings, minutes, financials, everything in one place. And so the pandemic didn't really cause this complete, matter of fact, it allowed us to be more intentional with our time, and to be more efficient with the way we communicate our data.
                                                       Integrating Boardable is very simple and very quick. Some of the traditional things we were used to like creating agendas, we're intuitive into what Boardable is designed to do. You just log on to the edit agenda page and you find that you're creating an agenda just like you would do in a word document. And so those things that were really native to what we were doing allowed us to move really quickly. And then when it came to rolling it out to our board members, I'm not going to lie, I was a bit nervous at first. But then realizing that Boardable's team was giving us good support. And the email invitation process was so simple, and so it really wasn't a big hill to climb in order to help people get trained and to jump on. Even the usage of the app allows people to jump in one place and they're very user-friendly and familiar environment get access to what we need.
                                                       I think the other plus is if someone who wasn't comfortable using data and technology in the same fashion that we were, we could just email them the board packet that spits everything out into one big PDF, and they can print it at home and have the same exact functionality they had in our meetings prior. So it was really helpful to have kind of the best of both worlds for people who weren't technologically advanced, and it gave them an option to go back to some more analog tools. And for those who were looking for more digital content, it opened up a whole new world for them to be able to use.
                                                       I would encourage people out there who are considering a tool like this, to check it out. It's a lot easier than you think. The price point is great and I think we got our money back in just a few meetings because the amount of time we were saving in preparing documents and things like that. So it's worth looking into. It's worth the investment. In this new world that's a lot more remote now we've realized what we can do outside of the office. It's allowed us a lot more opportunity to jump into something a lot more efficient. So if there was ever a time to jump in, now's the time.
