User opinions about Miro price and value

Value for money rating:

Of 174 reviews that provide robust commentary on Miro's price and value, 47% mention it in a positive light.

Some reviewers feel that Miro offers good value for money, especially with its free version, which includes multiple functionalities and templates suitable for various projects. Users think the free plan is beneficial for small teams and initial testing, providing enough features to evaluate the tool before committing to a paid plan. Reviewers appreciate the reasonably priced Starter and higher-tier plans, which offer more advanced features and collaboration tools. Some users say the pricing structure is fair, without significant penalties for choosing monthly over yearly plans. They find the free version's limitations, such as the three-board cap, manageable for small-scale use.

However, some users report that the free version's restrictions, like limited export quality and lack of advanced features, can be frustrating. Reviewers indicate that the cost of paid plans can become expensive, especially for larger teams or when advanced functionalities are needed. They feel the pricing model and user management can be confusing, leading to unexpected charges. Some users say the high cost of additional licenses for collaborative sessions and the requirement for credit card payments are drawbacks. They also mention that the free version's limitations can hinder broader adoption within organizations.

To see what individual users think of Miro's cost and value, check out the review excerpts below.

“There is a free version, which is excellent and provides multiple functionalities, however it is important to think that to grow in the organization we must budget for the paid version since it is important to have the documents in their repositories without the risk of losing information over time.”

“The FREE account is understandably limiting, but it provides a good snapshot of features available and both plans offer a good number of features to improve functionality depending on the type of project you're working on.”
Verified reviewer profile picture

Melanie A.

Consultant/Trainer

“The free tier is pretty limiting, which I understand, but now that so many other office suites come with a version of whiteboarding/mind-mapping/brain storming software (even Figma now has it), it's really tough to spend this much money on Miro unless you use it as a project management or full-blown UX tool as well.”

Integration rating: 4.5 (12)

Perhaps I'm not doing this right yet especially since I'm new to it, but the screen view for Miro seems to hide a lot of the Zoom functionality. Additionally, for those who are not very tech savy, they can get confused about whether or not they can just use the Miro site or need to download the app extension.

Most of our classes are held here so having it integrated for collaboration means the world and the best things for me.

We do not use the in-software communication tool as my team uses zoom for communication.

I share my screen so all my students can see what I do with Miro in real-time

We hold our meetings over Zoom and this integration is very critical for us.
