What is Clock PMS?

Clock PMS+ is a cloud-based hotel management platform with customer self-service, POS, booking and reservations, channel manager, event management, and more. By incorporating tools such as mobile housekeeping, calendar views, to-do lists, kitchen monitor, booking pre-authorization, account management, digital check in and out, and customizable booking engine creation, Clock PMS+ aims to provide an all-in-one management tool for hotel managers.

Key benefits of using Clock PMS

  • Use the Channel Manager to connect with online booking channels and allow Clock PMS+ to automatically update rates, pricing changes, availability or room updates. Users can also set smart rates which adapt to season prices, special days, and weekends.

  • Create a hotel booking engine which allows customers to search for the best booking and pay online with the ability to apply bonus codes and gift vouchers. The booking engine can be integrated into the hotel website and can be fully customized to fit with the brand.

  • Manage hotel bars and restaurants with the POS feature which can be used on any device to take orders and payments, communicate between team members, monitor kitchen performance, provide e-menus, and facilitate online table bookings

  • Users can opt-in to the Hotel Kiosk feature which, when used alongside the robust kiosk hardware, provides a self-service check-in desk. Guests can log in and identify themselves using a PIN and their booking reference number to check-in, secure payments and check out. The kiosk can be used alongside or instead of the traditional check-in desk.

  • Give customers the best possible experience with Clock PMS’s Virtual Concierge which can be used to promote services and give recommendations, book extra services, and publish useful information, links, hints, or suggestions to help guests plan their trip. The concierge also acts as a digital room service, table booking platform and billing platform.

    Pros
    What I liked most about Clock PMS is The workflow is simple, great API functions and a very good support and technical staff.
    Product is always improving and the support staff are excellent. Good value compared to some of the other PMS on the market.
    Clock addressed all of those issues and included many great features to improve communication with guests. I was very impressed with how well Clock functions on mobile devices as well.
    Cons
    As operations are expanding, using a pen and paper is no longer an option.
    Hotel system you can no longer go back to availability screen by clicking arrow to previous page when in a customer booking.
    Set up costs, 3 coffees and a roast ham sandwich each day, no expensive training fees that software companies demand.

    Clock PMS eases the hotel management

    We have a sister establishment that started using Clock PMS and it only made sense for us to us so that it will be easy to access each other's accounts.

    Pros

    We started using Clock PMS to unify our property management systems. Now it is easy to move bookings using the drag and drop, run payment reports, and even edit bookings.

    Cons

    We are unable to send one invoice if it is a big group booking, because we still only know how to issue out invoices for individual guests.

    Best Property Management System that I have used.

    Despite the cons I have listed, I really like CLOCK. It has bookmarks for easy access to functions. I love the maintenance feature that allows us to see which rooms have issues and what they are. I don't use the rate features because we use Room Price Genie, so I cannot comment on it.

    Pros

    Reliability! It rarely has a problem and when it does they fix it quickly. I have used several other PMS programs and they often crashed and had bugs that were not fixed for weeks. Their customer support team is very responsive and helpful. AND the TO DO LIST. It is a huge help not just with the reservations but other things we do in the office. We use it all the time!

    Cons

    Some of the functions require more clicks than is optimal. I wish that charging to saved credit cards for companies were streamlined. We charge for the fist night at time of booking and it is annoying that CLOCK only tells us the average price of one night instead of the actual price of the first night. CLOCK offers several color flags for reservations, which is helpful, but I wish it allowed for multiple color flags like a different PMS that I have used. It could be accomplished by adding a header and a footer stripe to reservations. And it would be very helpful to be able to place several rooms down at once.

    The software seems in an early stage. A lot of bugs and many things not yet or wrongly implemented.

    so far it takes us more time to do our work than before. We hope we can change that in time.

    Pros

    It has potential. A lot of features and detailed preferences.

    Cons

    It doesn't seem to be designed with the user in mind. There are many unnecessary clicks, things to fill out, tabs to open, etc. It is not streamlined to be used by a hotel in a productive way.

    Greatest response time and willingness to work with customers!

    Great and lean software for hotel and restaurant management

    We use this hotel for our 4* resort in South America both PMS and POS modules (reservation management and restaurant POS module). Since we take reservations in an other location than the hotel, CLOCK helps a lot to organize our work efficiently (there is no need to synchronization as the software is web-based).
