Pros
Nothing ,it is clunky old technology. Stay Away.... Poor support. Difficult to use, Non-intuitive. Very expensive.

Cons
We purchased a company that had contracted with Ultipro. Our experience has been awful. The original contract allows absurd annual price increases, and locked us into a minimum term. We have had terrible customer support and been let down on multiple occasions when contracting for support on migration projects, etc.

Pros
The software is definitely feature-rich, and you can capture a lot that other softwares cannot. I particularly like the occurrences.

Cons
It is really expensive to implement, and to maintain. Virtually every report is a custom report that requires work and a cost.

Overall very positive experience. I wont use the product directly though.

Pros
We use Ultipro for our payroll processing, employee onboarding and talent management. It is so easy to use . With expense management integrated, it is one of the best HR products.

Cons
I am not sure about the exact cost but I heard that it is slightly expensive. However, you pay for what you get.

Loved the people and customer service.

Pros
I’ve used ultipro for quite some time. Their report writing is great and they have lots of free classes that will help you with this. The payroll and hr software is easy to navigate and customizable.

Cons
Price can be a little bit of an issue but if you have complex payroll and hr needs, this is a good choice. Especially for larger companies.

Overall the product works great, and my company states it is an affordable alternative.

Pros
We have been using Ultipro for about 4 years, and it works great. We manage our time sheets, as well as employee performances in the program.

Cons
My biggest con as a user is having a difficult time telling when I punched out, or if I had just punched out minutes ago. This causes a lot of dependencies.

It's been okay, but the onboarding process was confusing with the w4 intake

Pros
Software works, and you can access pay statements. There could be more features baked in, but it is nice that it can be integrated with okta for single sign on.

Cons
There is a very confusing w4 process they put you through. They should have you enter the total number of deductions you wanna take, like the w4 form asks for, not giving a dollar value.

Having used several competitors in this space, Ultipro provided a clear advantage in terms of simplicity, functionality & overall value. I (hopefully) will never have to use another.

Pros
elegant design; tasks are easy to complete and due to minimal unnecessary steps. Customer service to this point has been impeccable, especially for such a big player in the space

Cons
same complaint I have with all solutions of this kind: too many unnecessary steps. Ultipro (like all others) could be simplified and streamlined.

We have realized some streamlined payroll business practices, and within Onboarding as well. The overall experience with this software and company have been very good, with some room for improvement. But there is no business out there without room for improvement :).

Pros
The level of customization and the ability to create our own fields is highly valued. This is also an easy system to train new Admins on, and has a crisp and clean appearance.

Cons
There are some improvements needed within UltiPro, especially in Time Management. There are things that we would like improved, but the nice thing about Ultimate Software is you can submit an Idea for an improvement and vote on other ideas. Ultimate takes these Ideas seriously, and rolls out improvements quarterly.

Pros
Ease of use - this is a very user friendly platform - and very customizable. We track all of our renewable items through Licenses - and it auto generates reports to go out to the managers, this has really helped us stay on top of getting these completed on time.

Cons
There are a few screens that seem to glitch when you make changes, and other fields that you haven't changed will change back to default values, so you have to be careful to verify each field when you go in to an employee to make changes.

Pros
This program is new to our workplace and has already vastly improved experiences. Being able to use fingerprinting and easing on-boarding processes has been heaven sent, and this has made the software worth the cost.

Cons
I have had no major issues with Ultipro in the limited time we have used this.

Overall experience has been a bit frustrating. Representatives feel like salespeople, rather than actual users of the product. Conversations have a scripted feel.

Pros
It is easy to navigate and is intuitive.

Cons
When changes are needed, it seems often the answer is that the functionality is hardcoded and is unable to be changed without a significant monetary cost.

The biggest benefit of UltiPro is that it is an all in one system that is used by all of HR and also used for our Payroll and Accounting departments. It is easy to be able to sort through all issues across the company through one representative. I also find it is efficient at tracking benefits such as healthcare, sick and vacation leave accruals.

Pros
The Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with UltiPro is the main feature I use in my day to day, and it's just okay. If used as directed it can be a good platform for tracking and collecting applications but unfortunately, my company does not use it properly so to me it seems lackluster for the price. The reporting functions through the core are pretty good and customizable. Overall I would say it is relatively user-friendly and only took me a few days to get navigate the system on my own. I like that you are able to set up shortcuts on your dashboard and see all your accruals on the dashboard.

Cons
My issues with UltiPro mostly stem from my company not properly using it as they should, so overall I like UltiPro. I would suggest they have an option to create tracking links so when a position is posted we can see where each applicant was directed from. Advertising efforts aren't as fruitful when we aren't able to do all the tracking right in the ATS.

Being able to put all of our employee information into one system is fantastic. We are able to run reports, input training as well as confidential paperwork. Paperless is so much easier than keeping track or loosing the info. The programmer's are always looking at ways to improve the system and add more features.

Pros
All of your HRIS info in one spot. Easy to locate and add documentation. Graphs, reports and so much more. In the process of implementing onboarding to make the experience easier for new hires.

Cons
Would like to use other features and programs. The cost is a little high. Have not been able to get upper management onboard yet. Will keep trying.

We are able to centrally manage almost all aspects of employees through this powerful application, virtually eliminating the need for spreadsheets and other documents used to track employees.

Pros
The true value in UltiPro is in the powerful IBM Cognos Business Intelligence reporting system which provides powerful reporting metrics on almost anything you could imagine. There are many out of the box reports pre-configured and you can build your own to meet your individual customized business needs. It's highly reliable and customer support is great.

Cons
The application has limited flexibility in some areas which makes going 100% paperless difficult. It lacks some if this then that type situations which would greatly improve functionality.

It really does what it sets out to do on a basic level, which is to manage an HR process that could otherwise be cumbersome.

Pros
Great for decentralizing HR info and putting it into the hands of each user as allowed by the admin. It has a really good user interface on the web once you get used to it. And it makes on-boarding a simple and painless process.

Cons
It's not exactly easy to use and understand at the first go. Not as customizable as I'd want it to be. And it's expensive for an HR dept with a limited budget.

UltiPro is a great investment

We have had a favorable overall experience with UltiPro since going live in October 2016. The support team we have now is incredibly responsive to our requests and the functions in UltiPro have improved the quality of our internal processes. When there have been issues with support, etc. UltiPro has been very quick to resolve the issue. They take client feedback very seriously.

Pros
Implementing UltiPro has allowed us to streamline many functions that were performed manually with paper documents. Internal staff transfers, promotions, salary changes, etc. are now handled within the UltiPro system (including approvals) where prior to that, paper forms had to be manually signed off by multiple managers before submitting them to HR for processing. Our benefit enrollment process has moved from an Excel enrollment form to an online enrollment that feeds directly into the payroll system once approved. A goal tracking system for employees has been created in UltiPro that allows employees/managers to create goals, rate them, track them with comments, and then show completion dates. Employees may now access their personnel record in UltiPro and make updates to home address, marital status, dependent/contact info, tax withholding as well as immediate access to W-2 forms and ACA forms. In addition, UltiPro offers an online PTO tracking system where employees can request time off and managers can immediately approve electronically. And, of course, what I like most is the amazing reporting capabilities that UltiPro offers. Besides the hundreds of standard reports already created, I can either edit/modify current reports or create my own report.

Cons
This is rather minor, but there are functions I would like to create in UltiPro that I don't have access to do as an Administrator. I must submit them to UltiPro Support Team and some of the functions require an additional cost. It's not a lot, but it's just the principal.

My overall experience with Ultipro is not so great. I would not choose this software for my companies first choice in human resources.

Pros
I like most about the software is the ability to look at your time punches and its accuracy. You are also able to model your pay with taxes and deductions configured too.

Cons
What I like least about the software is that I lost wages due to a glitch in the system. When I emailed them about it they forwarded it to my employer who wanted to fire me over it. I emailed Ultipro to bring their attention to the issue I experienced using the software and to get reimbursed for the monies the glitch had cost me. No resolution came from it.

Great experience for the end-users. Very intuitive UI, easy to find what you need, and the implementation was a very smooth process. Take care when considering your implementation time frame. Many times we think of new FY but check to see where that falls with holidays on both sides.

Pros
Very easy for the end users to use for their day to day needs. Great support and available resources from UltiPro throughout implementation and after that to ensure we got the most of what was available. There is a learning component for content, but that still needs more work. Highly customizable, modular approach (get the features/functionality you actually need), and integrates well with other systems.

Cons
Can fall on the higher end as far as cost, but worth the money for the features and support. The learning feature definitely still needs work, so I would not consider this an all-in-one solution as far as HR all the way through learning and development. Take care when choosing a separate LMS as many require an annual or one-time fee to connect to UltiPro and other HR solutions.

Unfortunately the customer support is the largest roadblock to progressing company processes and system setup. It is nearly impossible to receive a response in a timely manner. We consistently need to escalate unresolved cases to our account manager. When we do receive an answer it is usually very short with little context as to why or how the system operates. The features we request are often quickly dismissed and the projects we ask for assistance on are often an additional cost of service. The tool is over complicated requiring multiple clicks (limited automation). Onboarding and Ulti HR Core do not integrate and require multiple steps for setup when hiring new employees. Many of the solutions do not meet global requirements.
