Buffer invented the concept of a social "queue" and Chrome extension they've become the clear leader in the social publishing space.

Cons

I wish they were better able to aggregate the social accounts for analytics I know they're working on a new analytics platform currently, though.

Overall, I have had a good experience with Buffer and think that its very strong interface makes it a worthwhile piece of software.

Pros

I like that buffer has a simple interface compared to some of the other social media management software I've tried.

Cons

There have been a number of integration problems that have come up when it comes to posting to different social media channels and sometimes this blocks posting or delays when it is sent out.

Pros

Simplistic and very user friendly - I always have clients create their own to develop their social media skills and the Buffer software itself.

Cons

If there is a problem with your account with buffer you don't tend to find out till a post is produced - then you receive an email. I know this cant be helped but maybe a process to ensure the accounts have a clean connection?

Buffer is easy to use and doesn't involve any fuss on the implementation side.

Pros

Buffer is a wonderful free resource for anyone using social media management as a beginner's tool.

Cons

I wish the free version offered more tracking and analytics capabilities, but you should be able to track that within the individual social networks or Google Analytics.

Buffer does everything you need to manage your main social media profiles at a cost that is very reasonable and hard to beat.

Cons

My only complaint about Buffer is that some of the more advanced post analytics features are only available on their business plan, which is significantly more expensive than the pro plan.

It's easy to setup and use, and the plans are low-cost -- as a social media consultant, Buffer is the social media management tool I most often recommend to my small business clients.

Pros

Buffer is easy to use, with a clean and intuitive user interface, great customer support, and useful analytics for optimizing post timing.

Cons

I do wish the free version was a little more robust. The analytics and number of posts you can queue up are limited and you can't connect every network.

Free plan isn't anything special

While the "suggested media" feature is helpful and I enjoy the uncomplicated user interface, the lack of analytics and random default posting schedule doesn't differentiate it from other social media management software.

Pros

Rather than having to upload an image for a social media post, Buffer pulls images from the post and prompts me to attach one of the images.

Cons

The default posting schedule that Buffer comes up with is random, even for premium users, it has nothing to do with engagement or views of past social media posts.
