I've never liked HootSuite, I always felt like it was bulky and not user friendly. Sprout has so many features and keeps them completely user friendly. It's nice to be able to work collaboratively with clients and use the task features to manage any social media crisis or larger teams.

Pros: Beautiful, easy to use, the reporting is a nice feature beyond the scheduling.

Cons: Wish it was bit better integrated into some of the platforms (i.e. videos on Facebook).

SproutSocial delivers great value. With its dashboard I can easily access my own and Hotel accounts I manage. It has become a must have Social Media listening tool.

Pros: The reports generated through Sprout Social is of high value personal and client accounts.

Cons: Not able to do some bulk upload at this time

I was an early beta tester so I've enjoyed watching it evolve. Sprout is a very powerful yet simple social tool for publishing and customer service. They were one of the first to offer geo-targeting in Twitter. Pricing has gone up in the past year but is still well under the price of other tools that are less powerful. Great for small teams or single users.

Pros: Simple interface Powerful features. Workflow, users, tasks

Cons: Might be a little light for larger teams in terms of user management or workflow.

I had the pleasure of using Sprout Social at my previous job, spent the better amount of a 18 months using Sprout on a daily basis. This is one great app. Seriously, the things it does is perfect for someone managing a Facebook or Twitter community and having to schedule posts and analyze their performance.

Pros: What made me choose to sign up was the reporting functionality, simply beautiful and powerful. It gave me exactly the information I needed and let me export nice looking PDFs or CSVs. Besides that, the Sprout Queue feature was awesome. It would automatically pull from a "bucket" of approved posts and publish automatically at pre established times/dates. Very cool. The customer service team is also amazing. Really helpful.

Cons: Obviously, nothing is perfect. It would be great if they had YouTube posting/analytics functionality. The icing on the cake would be to add Instagram analysis in there as well.

I'm currently reviewing social media managers. Sprout Social is the first service I have reviewed and there are definite pros to a service like this. But I'm not 100% convinced of the value for dollar here.

Pros: Pleasant and easy to use Supports all of the major social media networks Scheduled Posts Great reporting and dashboard

Cons: Expensive (starts at $59 per month per user) Some features don't seem to have any value add over what the social network provides already. The CRM side of things seemed lacking OR missing. Some marketing claims are impossible to check (ViralPost)

Pros: They give you give a 30 day trial on any of their services.
