Property Management Made Easy

As a first time property manager a few years ago I was looking for a software that was simple with lots of great benefits. Pay HOA checked all of the boxes I was looking for - easy accounting & reporting, online payments, homeowner database, easy invoicing, budget creation and so much more. I love that HOA board members can be granted access to view reports and budgets.

Pros

I like how I can streamline HOA dues with their associate fees. It then is put on autopilot and sends out monthly invoices as well as late fees if applicable. I can create an entire years worth of invoices and PayHOA takes care of the rest.

Cons

I wish the website feature was less expensive. Having a property website linked to PayHOA would be amazing, but once again costs are the reason for not integrating a current site.

My overall experience with PayHOA is that I am very Happy I chose this company to use because it is so easy and when and if I have questions they are there to help.

Pros

Very easy to use and at a very good price. The customer support is very quick to respond if you have any questions.

Cons

I have not found a con with PayHOA because it is so user friendly.

Overall great. I wish there was a phone number to call for customer service. They never answer. Only way to contact is through email. Response yikes are typically quick it sometimes issues can take 5+ biz days to resolve.

Pros

User friendly for smaller organizations.

Cons

Sometimes feels like a beta version of software was released before the final product was perfected.

Decent option for managing an HOA

Overall, PayHOA is a good low cost option for small HOAs that are managing the HOA without assistance of a property manager.

Pros

PayHOA makes it easy to manage and maintain HOA membership, ownership, and communications. It also provides an easy location to upload, manage, and maintain documents making paper files a thing of the past and making it easy for the membership to access documents relevant to the HOA.

Cons

It's not as easy to export certain data as I'd like it to be -- sometimes I need to manually build out information because I can't include it in an export (like permissions and tags), and finding how to export data is less intuitive than it could be.

Great software for managing HOA finances and tracking dues.

Overall we like the software and will continue to use it, assuming they do not do to many price hikes.

Pros

We like how easy it is to track dues for our HOA members. The automated email reminders when people are late has helped us keep properties paid up and on time.

Cons

Setup and the band integration were a little rocky. Ultimately we removed the automatic link between our back and PayHOA. I don't think it was so much PayHOAs issues as it was our back. We opted for a manual method, every month we just reconcile the accounts which doesn't take much effort.

HOA Management Simplified

My initial experience with PayHOA was a little challenging but I quickly caught on to how everything functions. Some Board members wanted to engage another more established company but the cost and support from the large corporate firms can't compare with the support from PayHOA. This was the best choice for my 300 unit HOA community. I'm so pleased that I paid for the full year with a discount.

Pros

PayHOA was free to setup and use for the initial 30 days. The software team was readily available with 24 hours notice to link up and explain any functions. I had a few enhancement requests that were implemented within a few hours. The PayHOA team always responds to my email requests within 24 hours and they are available to work with me on my schedule. I couldn't be more pleased with their service.

Cons

There is not a lot of draw back issues with PayHOA. I've been using the software for a few months and everything is going great. I did have some issues looking for the ability to print individual invoices as they don't appear on the owners unit menu. My software consultant was able to quickly show me where to find the PDF print function.

Good service, but customer service slipping

Very, very good to start; not so good of late. Hopefully things will improve. Maybe Pay HOA is getting so large that they don't have time for little clients like us. I hope not. they were very good people.

Pros

Good price, great set up, easy once one understands how to use it, attractive interface for residents

Cons

I use to get timely responses to the few questions and requests I had. Great people, great heal. Lately, this statement is not true. I have a simple accounting statement request outstanding now for nine months. I have customer service requests in for over a month and no answers with hardly a response.

My overall experience has been Amazing. PAYHOA offers great value, wonderful customer service, and support, and the overall ease of use makes this a no-brainer. I did vast amounts of research for Community Management software and we are very pleased we selected PAYHOA. We plan to use them for a long time to come. Pros

The ease of use and the ability to efficiently communicate to residents of an HOA. This software has made managing an HOA so much easier for us. You get great, personalized service and speedy responses to all of your questions. You never feel like you are left alone to figure it out by yourself.[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has made this system much less intimidating by being there every step of the way to help if we have questions. People like her make this software worth it!

Cons

This is seldom a problem, but I have noticed that the system can run slow on certain days. I feel like the violation process could be streamlined as well if there was a mobile version so you could record violations in real-time while out on inspections. It would be great to be able to upload photos instantly.

Cost effective association management and great customer service

Pros

After a short learning period, the application is fairly intuitive to use. It has helped facilitate greatly improved communication with our owners - which is essential for a self-managing association. We recently transitioned over to using PayHOA bookkeeping services, and the customer service was top notch - shout out to [sensitive content hidden]! By using their staff, you gain their expertise with the system.

Cons

Snail mail batch mailings seem to take longer than expected, but that might be a post office thing...

Pros

We love this software! Built to do everything in one place. Communication, account management, accounting, document storage, budget management, viewing units, classifying property, you name it! If it doesn't do it yet, the developer is working on it. We've been using it a little over 6 months and in that time there have been updates, changes to the layout to improve it, accounting capabilities it didn't...

Cons

The accounting portion of the software isn't as robust as the rest, but they're working on it! It's a young company and we believe in them. They'll get it done and done right!

One Stop Management

After “interviewing” a few companies, PayHOA was by far the most friendly, informative, cost effective and user friendly program. I have a few communities that range from 50 doors up to 250+ doors and PayHOA has been able to fit our needs for all of them. The fees seemed to be very comparable to the other programs, so it all came down to how easy is this going to be to use? I didn’t want to ADD any more time than I was already spending on excel spreadsheet work. PayHOA has delivered on all that I was looking for. Customer Support is always quick and responsive, and if they can't help at that moment, the programming support turnaround hasn't been more than a business day. Very satisfied with this program!

Pros

The software is very user friendly and has all of the features that I was looking for.

Cons

I wish that the Financial reporting feature was a bit more form driven. Using the simplistic P&L that PayHOA contains, I have an easy work-around for the various needs of my HOA Board Reporting. This is a wish-list item for me - I'd love to be able to print out a GAAP acceptable Income Statement and Balance Sheet.

We have to develop and present a yearly budget for legal requirements. PayHOa does this very well. Ability to track individual payments and provide statements to individual members is easy and vital to our HOA.

Pros

Daily tracking of payments. Ability to make a monthly report to our HOA board. Ability to form and watch a yearly budget.

Cons

Keeping alignment with our bank has sometimes been a problem. Wish we could track savings accounts.

A user friendly, value packed and budget friendly option for HOA management

Very pleased. I began using it as my professional relationship with our paid management company deteriorated. They thought we would fold without their help. Thanks to this software, we got better at everything and saved a lot of money. It actually takes me less time to manage our HOA independently than it did using the management company.

Pros

Ease of use and customer service. The software is pretty intuitive to learn, even for a novice in HOA management. The invoicing, payment, budgeting and reporting tools are powerful and simple to use and customer service is great.

Cons

There are minor frustrations here and there. Homeowners enrolling will sometimes create a new HOA with a similar name to ours instead of searching for and enrolling in our organization, which took me a while to figure out, but the more time I spend with the software, the more I like it.

Easier to share community documents with neighbors. Voting is quick and easy. Communications are a breeze.

Pros

Really easy to use and manage. Easy to learn and show others. Low learning curve for other residents.

Cons

None come to mind, we can from the traditional paper documents and communications so this has been a much needed step.

Great Value, Great Customer Service

The staff is very responsive to our questions. They are doing a great job of prioritizing our feature requests and making little tweaks to the system that improve the user experience.

Pros

The software was very easy to implement. PayHOA uploaded all our data smoothly. This software package had the functionality we wanted. We love that we can receive online payments and send mailings directly to our residents via this software.

Cons

There are times when the software seems to lag. Response time when using a smart phone is a bit slow.

Outstanding Substitute for a Property Management Company

Pros

Allows us to keep all of our important HOA documents all in one place. And it allows us to keep track of our homeowners and their yearly assessments.

Easy to use - Adopt in minutes

I really enjoy the system. It is in the mid-range of pricing and comes with all the bells and whistles you need to manage a small, or even a large, HOA. I went from having to "work" on the HOA weekly to only working on it quarterly.

Pros

I really loved that PayHOA was so easy to use. I was able to adopt the product in minutes by taking the excel spreadsheet I was using to manage my HOA and importing it directly into PayHOA.

Cons

When I was importing my "units", it wasn't super easy to import payment history. That was a little annoying. I did find it very easy to put in an enhancement request, but honestly, I didn't lose much value long term by not having that feature.

Can be buggy, features incomplete

I frequently find bugs that set someone's payments to a different balance than actually paid after they have already made payments. Then I have to adjust the charge to reflect the amount they actually have left outstanding. Additionally, the payment plan function doesn't seem to even work and even if it does and I just don't know how to use it you cannot do custom payment plans. Not everyone can always make the same payment monthly, sometimes I need to have a certain amount one month and another a different month. So I have to keep track of that myself. Also, 3.5% is a bit much for the service that we still pay a yearly fee for. This will drive users to divert funds from legfi to cheaper services that exist like Square.

Fun to setip

I was responsible for setting up a payment program for our fraternity. After researching multiple platforms to choose from I went with The company that had the most to offer and would save us the most money and that was Legfi. They were very helpful in explaining to me what was available at what price and how much they were willing to help and make sure we were taken care of. This was before I decided to go with this company. Right then and there I knew I was going to be in safe hands. Some cons, which were not many, was it took a little while and a couple times to explain to the other brothers how to use it but after a few times it wasn't a problem at all and has made everything way easier.

Right Product, Right Price, Right Time

The team at Legacy Financial spent more than the required time to answer all of our questions, went out of their way to set the system up per our requirements as well as provided more patience as should have been required. Although we are brand new to the system this fall we are convinced they will save us time, effort as well as make the bottom line more profitable thereby allow us to provide more to/for the active chapter.

Legfi simplifies everything.

Legfi.com totally revamped how my fraternity collects funds. Their easy to use website allows for budget building and their low cost approach made it easy for my small chapter to get on board. We utilized their collections service and has produced amazing results. I couldn't be happier with legfi, I am very glad we switched from omegafi. Legfi was way more affordable for our small chapter.
