Wellness Living: A good idea, with poor execution

The way their email system works is arcane WYSIWIG editor with VERY limited image and file management. A BIG ISSUE IS: The products in the store can NOT be placed in the same cart as our services so we are forced to run multiple transaction with a client credit card if they want to book a workshop and buy something from our store.

Pros

We were looking for an all in one solutions to manage our business model which includes a training center, wellness clinic, space rental, a store and memberships. WellnessLiving seemed to fit the bill and they seemed to have the xperience to pull it off.

Cons

From client registration to product sales, the logic to get from point Å to point B is very cumbersome for admin and client alike.

Great Looking Interface - less functionality than expected under the hood

Certain functionality which appeared at first to be acceptable, turned out to be limited in execution including, but not limited to the process to transfer clients with multiple agreements (IE: gym membership and personal training agreements).

Pros

Integration with Google and our website, online store features, attractive UI.

Cons

It was simply too slow to complete certain sales transactions or membership adjustments during busy periods.

That's why we have a thorough onboarding process with your own dedicated onboarding specialist that also includes system training, because we understand that there is a learning curve. We do everything we can to make sure the onboarding process is a smooth and seamless transition and it's just too bad you didn't end up seeing the whole process through. I checked into your case and your dedicated onboarding specialist had all your fees refunded due to COVID-19. We tried to get hold of you several times to let you know we were doing that this month. Please contact us asap if the refund has not entered your account yet and we will follow up with our bank. When you are ready to look at new software providers again, we will increase our efforts to help you through that process.

Pros

Ease of use (setting up what you want), and user-friendly interface. The colors make it easy to see where you are and where you want to go.

Cons

Nothing really. I guess if anything, it would be requested changes or features taking longer to get up and running, and having to check into the community forum and help menu to find out what is going on with a request. Would be nice to get a notice when my request has been implemented. (And WL is great about asking us for what we want/need!)

I switched from MindBody and am now saving money.

Pros

Coming from MindBody my 2 biggest fears about switching software were how my customers would take it, and all my client data coming over correctly. Well let me tell you my customers love it, and the migration was so simple. I was really hesitant to switch, but I'm really glad I did. I am now saving money per month because I no longer need to use Heal Code, Constant Contact, Perkville and am enjoying so many more benefits.

I'd like to see a management app in the future, I wouldn't be surprised if they offered it soon.

It's very easy to manage my yoga studio class schedule.

I like how intuitive it is to use and create links to put on my website. I like using the Achieve app. and I love the built in rewards system!

Cons

It needs to improve the Facebook sharing tools so that clients can share when they used WL to sign up or attend a class.

Wellness Living for my music studio

The onboarding specialist was extremely patient and helpful! Every time I call tech support, I speak to someone who is friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. Very good experience!

Pros

This is one of the few programs that integrates scheduling, employees, client communication, and client payment options for appointments, classes, and events.

A great set of features but just too buggy

Wellness living provided a list of all the issues you report which they called their "issue tracking" which they often referred me to but the list had no date of when the issue was reported and no resolution target date.

Pros

On paper the functionality for memberships is great.

Cons

The software supports a recurring membership model which was important to us, with the ability to roll over unused classes as long as they have a current membership, and the ability to freeze memberships.

Great for Newbies; Not Recommended for Switching

The importing service is incomplete and resulted in me losing 5 years of detailed sales and attendance data, plus hundreds of class and event descriptions.

Pros

The visual layout and function of this software is appealing and easy to read.

Cons

Returning clients have difficulty updating log-ins, staff has trouble navigating the schedules and filters and limitations, notification settings are so convoluted that clients and staff get spammed with useless auto-emails they don't need.
