Address Validation and Postcode Lookup API
Ideal Postcodes adds address validation or postcode lookup to web forms, POS systems, mobile apps and CRMs, catching bad addresses before they cause a failed delivery or a bad CRM record. It validates addresses internationally against authoritative local data providers, and for UK addresses adds rooftop-level geocodes and UPRNs, at no extra cost.
Setup and integrations
43+ ready-made integrations, including WooCommerce, Shopify Plus, WordPress, Salesforce and HubSpot, plus a developer-friendly API with documentation for multiple programming languages for custom builds.
Cleanse and enrich
Bulk cleanse tools standardise and enrich existing address lists, including NCOA and TBR updates to catch movers and deceased records.
Pricing
Pay-as-you-go, from £9 for 200 credits, with lower per-lookup rates at higher volumes. Credits are valid for 12 months. Every sign-up starts with a 1-month free trial: 50 free credits, full support, no credit card required.
Data
UK address data refreshes daily against Royal Mail's PAF and Ordnance Survey. Additional datasets, including Multiple Residence, Not Yet Built, Eircode and AddressBase Premium, are available to add.
Security and support
ISO27001 certified and GDPR compliant, with UK and EU data centres. Traffic runs through Cloudflare with post-quantum encryption. Support runs 24/5 across phone, chat and email, with live chat direct to an engineer. Uptime is tracked on a public, real-time status page.
