How we picked the 4 top rated products

We chose the high-performing solutions on this list based on verified user ratings on our site. Depending on available data, qualifying products either had to be among the most user-reviewed or the most searched-for products in the medical billing software category. They also needed to have sufficient reviews about charting, have a minimum user rating of 3 out of 5 for that feature, and show evidence of U.S. market presence. We then added a distinction for the product with the highest rating for charting based on our proprietary ratings and reviews. Sponsorship or client status has no influence on the selection of these products, but it may impact the order in which products appear.

Reviewers appreciate TherapyNotes, LLC's charting capabilities for their ease of use and efficiency. They report that charting helps organize workflow and provides a simple structure to follow. Users find it easy to access and update notes, which saves time and reduces the burden of paperwork. User insights about the charting feature

Reviewers have varied opinions on Tebra's charting capabilities. They find it easy to create and document patient charts, but some mention that the system is cumbersome and difficult to navigate. Users appreciate the ability to make templates, though they note limited formatting options and the need for more customization. Some reviewers express dissatisfaction with the service and technical support, as well as the inability to try the note section before purchasing. They also mention issues with transferring diagnoses to billing and the overall bulkiness of the platform.
“It is not provider friendly, and they do not allow the provider to try out the note section before purchasing. This is not an honest business. It trickery to have sign on for a year contract though you advised you may pay 250 upfront so you can cancel if the program- particularly the note section ends up failing you. Yet, you are sign on to the year - and they will charge you card for the remaining months even if you only tried it for a few months - Again, if a company disallows the customer to try the every part of it that is crucial before purchase , at the very least - there should exit an exit without having to pay for the entire year. ”

Michelle P.

Practice Manager

“There are plenty of templates full of irrelevant parameters. But try a really simple thing like being able to see the reasons for the last few visits when you open the chart? Forget it, until you select "notes", and then select each note in turn, a laorious process, you have no idea what is going on. ”
