Pros

Ability to put prior webinar content on professional platform for people to access (other than youtube).

Cons

Some features are deceptive to simulate real webinar and real chat (we don't use those), the analytics are extremely limited and don't produce an output file.

WebinarJam - why I chose it, what I like and what I'd love to change

Over the past 8 months I've done 35 webinars or so, and it was a steep learning curve to begin with but now I'm not sure I ever want to go back to live events.

Pros

The sound and picture quality is reliable, very few technical issues, easy to understand controls, responsive slide management, chat log very good, ease of exporting attendees and chat log lists on excel, easy to download replay video.

Cons

I'm also subscribing to Everwebinar but haven't been able to work out how to connect to woocommerce so I'm not using it, which is a real shame. Smaller issue - the admin of setting it up takes too long.

So far though, really super easy to use and I'm so happy!!

Pros

I love most that it's so easy to set up, easy to engage with my attendees, and has all the built in tracking that you need.

Cons

I mean...live chat would be awesome, but support is so fast on responding to the tickets, it's not a big deal.

overall. its a great system, just need some improvement and have more control of the speaker.

Pros

it's easy to use for all users and compatible with all users

Cons

And the other this is, the chat will now show full report. Chat only capture a few. and the registration details like first name, last name, phone number, email, and should have a custom option where we need the participants to fill up their details.

Solid platform for webinars

Easy to use as the presenter and control center, and nice modern look for the viewer

Cons

The chat is difficult to see on mobile, a lot of viewers don’t see when they are responded to so they think their questions are unanswered.

Especially after the so called upgrade

Pros

It’s a nice platform that has the analytics that I need.

Cons

The program is not user friendly in that format, and without scrolling (which they don’t know they need to do) miss the schedule feature, and need to register multiple times!

Positive review after we paid the full price! The Dollar free-bee was a let-down and almost resulted in us not purchasing the full meal deal

Pros

Ease and sharing of screens for multiple speakers, the ease of set-up, live chat room and the ability to add people from the Chat room to become a speaker.

Cons

Trying to type what your problem is, is time-consuming and takes too long for a busy office, especially when an answer is needed in minutes.

The latency is really bad... is more than 10sec, really omg. and flickering happened when i have about 200 pax of guest entering the room. To me this are the most crucial thing that your end need to solve. and it would be great if you can improve the screen resolution to HD.

Pros

Be able to include the QR code images/slides (but got hiccups where i won't be able to upload my ppt/pdf file (which only one slider) )) Provide post event analytic reporting

Cons

low resolution - screen is not sharp Latency about 10sec or more flickering happened during live limitation of 6 presenters - a bit long process of getting participants to join in Cons of need to switch screens - not so seamless low resolution when pin presenters to the 2nd screen system bug where RSVP notification was sent again on event day and Thank you message was sent during the event

I love being able to do Webinars that are pre-recorder but look like live! the leverage is fantastic

Evergreen webinar so I create it once and keep using it which gives new leads and sales every week

Pros

the reminders, the fact that collects people's contacts to build my list, and that we can use the chat over and over again

Cons

I would like to have everyone inside on video like in zoom other than that I love everything else about it

Best webinar software I tried, but expensive and hard to get customer service

I found out the hard way that once you "go live" you can never use that room again (your links go inactive)...I was trying to test out my room for real (not just testing, but going live), and I didn't realize it would make my invitation, sign-up and other links forever inactive.

Pros

I love that I don't have to import a whole video to it...I can simply put a YouTube link in the video area, and it will play it.

Cons

WebinarJam is more expensive than its competitors, and it's no easier to get customer service.

You'll never find a phone number to call. In fact, if you call the number that's on their webinar you will be disconnected.

Pros

The landing pages were hard to build and it required a lot of training and troubleshooting for our presenters to access the system.

Cons

Webinar Jam's lack of features and ability to understand data needs is not compatible with basic sales and marketing needs for webinars.

Jury is still out....

It's not plug and play! My experience has been laborious and stressful. I am working diligently, and have been for 2 months, to understand how to pull off a webinar with no issues, but haven't yet. That is a whole lot of effort with very little return.

Pros

The reporting is what separates Webinarjam from the other platforms being used like Zoom.

Cons

For novices, we are lost when we hear terms like API ( we hear blah blah).

As people can see me, they feel comfortable, and as noone can see them or even they can chat wihtout exposing themselves too much, it is a good compromise to ask the questions freely

Pros

There is the possibility to test before going live. The replays are available quickly after the webinar.

I use webinar to do software presentations of my website blocker FindFocus and additional productivity training for my customers.

Pros

I really love how webinarjam integreates with Kartra an allin-one-marketing platform build by the same company. The additional training you get to run your webinars is awesome. If with no prior experience my first webinar was a great success and I made 2 sales with only 5 attendees.

Cons

Therefore I lost the chat recording.

Overall WebinarJam is still a great product, although I would hope that the development could work on new features. There has been nearly nothing new over the last 2 years and other Webinar platforms are investing way more into new features. Also the support could be better, even now in these times, waiting times of 4-5 days for an answer is really long. And I had to wait for answers during normal times 2-3 days and got a standard answer that was not related to my question. Very frustrating.

Pros

Setting up Webinars is easy and good structured, Webinars running mostly smooth, Functionality during the Webinar (chat, injections, etc) are great.

Cons

One feature we are missing the most is a better integration with Kartra as well as Zapier.

On one side it is very easy to use once in live room however, the usability of the backend and support is horrendous.

Pros

This software is actually fairly easy to use once you get into the live room. Consumers can easily access it through a link.

Cons

For example, I created a webinar, customized my entire pages, etc and then was informed that I shouldn't use the clone feature as it can mess things up with notifications if I change the webinar date (which of course I would have to).

Pros

I love the follow up email options and the fact that I can add my offers right into the chat box during my Live sessions.

Cons

BUT - I'm hopeful that the success of my webinars will make this an easy expense to pay.

This is our main sticking point that we can see becoming a larger issue over time as we, hopefully, continue to grow.

Pros

1. UI-- is great, simple to navigate and works really nicely. 2. lots of features that work really well in practise. 3. the actual webinar rooms and quality of signal with ability to use multimedia smoothly on my side for users to watch is amazing. 4. chat, handouts, polls-- all really fabulous 5. replay etc is excellent feature

Cons

Our only option is a short video we put on our website to tell people to contact us if they do not get an email within the first 30 minutes after signing up. 2.

Rep went above and beyond to get my webinar reset in the nick of time - he fixed our webinar and he followed thru to make sure I was good to go

Cons

no live chat for webinarjam issues - had to buy a conceirge ticket just to get a human. the double saves to get out of each section are also a bit clunky too but I can deal ok with that

In addition, we lost all the recordings from the sessions during when the platform went down.

Pros

Fairly easy to use and quality of broadcast was good.

Cons

One of reasons we chose Webinar Jam was because of analytic capabilities however after our event many of the breakout sessions had clear issues with the data, indicating that the average time an attendee spent in a session was a low as a few seconds which we knew was false.
