Overall experience with Filevine has been amazing. Everyone in the office seems to love it and it works very smoothly with what we use it for.

They are unresponsive to these concerns, with their standard response being that we should just do more training. The system is clumsy and the customer service is awful.

Everything can be customized. The text features are great too, it's always so nice to be able to read back and reference texts between the client and attorney or the client and myself.

Filevine is so simple to use and we appreciate the ability to create projects for anything the firm needs. I particularly like the report builder.

So in addition to wasting all the money we spent on training, we wasted a full day of work.

Its is extremely well organized with advanced capabilities that exceed TrialWorks by a great margin. The customer support is night and day.

I first heard of this at a webinar. Still didn't look into it until 2 years after that. All and all I wish our firm had started using it sooner than we did. I was intrigued to try this program. I did a demo and had numerous sales calls. It was an aggressive sales pitch. I finally said I'm intrigued to try it out which required me to pay over $2,000 I figured if it worked then it would be worth it. Well after a few days of use, it was clear it did not do what I expected and I did not like using it at all.

It was my mistake and thank goodness I made them include a clause about not autorenewing my subscription.

I recommend against using FileVine. Software should always provide a trial period, even a week. Where such a software does not let you play around with it outside of watching a demo, it should be a redflag. 

FileVine may be a good solution for some people but I don't recommend using it because they don't allow that before trying it. And it is not as full-featured as advertised and each little thing is another add-on fee.

Filevine Review: Whole team of help, in one platform.

Stephen S.:                                            Hi, I'm Steve. I'm a litigation attorney in Fort Worth, Texas. I give Filevine five out of five.
                                                       Filevine is everything in my practice. It houses all of our cases, case documents, pleadings, disclosure, discovery documents, all the information about clients, contact lists of everybody I need in a case, all the information about the courts. It's literally my brain online. Everything I need for every case that I handle is at my fingertips with Filevine.
                                                       When I started in law, cases were in these nifty brown folders and housed in cardboard boxes that were down in archive. Filevine saves all those trees. I love that. And more than that, it's just instantaneous information about everything in our cases. One of the things that makes it incredibly useful is that it's customizable. So if there's a specific workflow, a specific process that we need in our cases, we can add that and make it a part of the daily flow. Or if one case has a particular need, we can customize its file. It's so versatile and so comprehensive, I just can't imagine life without it.
                                                       There's nothing in particular about Filevine that I don't like or that I find awkward or hard to use. It can be a little bit complex, but that's just the nature of the job. It requires complexity, so that's good. There's a learning curve. I don't think it's an onerous learning curve. I think it's very workable. What I hope to see in the future is more integration with AI, so that AI could go into the individual cases and find information, and go deep and find information and pull it out and get information that way. I can see that being an extremely useful future function to add to Filevine. I hope they're working on it.

Filevine Review: Filevine is Ideal for Lawfirms!

Jacqueline:                                            Hi, I am Jackie. I'm the office manager here at Legal Focus. We're a law firm here in Windsor, Ontario. We use Filevine and I give it a five-star review.
                                                       We just used the paper methods, so we had a ton of filing cabinets and lots of boxes stored of paper, and there was no electronic storage of any of our client files.
                                                       We switched over to Filevine as COVID was hitting and forcing us to work remotely, and it wasn't feasible to transfer all the paper files to the home offices. And so we looked for a file management program that would be able to be easy to use and designed for the legal industry.
                                                       The upfront setup is a bit tedious because you have to scan in all of your paper files and create your projects, but once the system is set up to add a new file, it's quite simple.
                                                       Filevine has a lot of capabilities, including digital signing through Vinesign and also integration with financial software, and also has a built-in billing program. So I'm suggesting that anyone thinking of using Filevine, examine their entire firm's requisites for operating, not just for file storage, but to be able to use all of the other components to make it a fulsome experience.
