Google provides great insights in all aspects. The valuable information includes what kind of acquisition or traffic it is (organic, direct, etc.) even going as far as the channel. Bounce rate, device, location info, are also great data inputs provided. I've never had problems with Google Analytics, however, there is a lack of quick support, and it seems difficult to get in touch with Google, so if there does happen to be a problem, it will be very difficult to get ahold of someone.

Pros
The amount of data provided. The free and low-cost options.

Cons

My overall experience has been a great one. I’ve increased traffic on my website and I know what works and what doesn’t when thinking about editing it.

Pros
Google Analytics is a great tool to better your websites. I used the data from Google Analytics to help me with a better way to optimize my landing page. Google Analytics give you details when used to analyze your site. It is one of the best tools Google has come up with and it’s free to use. One of my favorite things is how you can see where your traffic is coming from, you can easily see the age group it’s attracts, and you can easily export all this data to excel.

Cons
I would say the only con I saw was the price to upgrade. I think it was too expensive.

Excellent web analytics solution with a very feature-rich, low-cost tier available. Premium features require a significant cost hike, unfortunately.

Pros
Google Analytics is easy to plug into your existing web assets, and immediately creates a feature-rich dashboard for you to analyse your usage trends and statistics.

Cons
The basic tier option has significant constraints when used in high volume scenarios. It is difficult to contact Google for support help.

Pros
The Price! With Google Analytics being free and fairly easy to install anyone owning a website should be using the software.

Cons

The go-to free website analytics software

My overall experience over the years with Google Analytics has been strong. Sure things could be better, but it's free.

Pros
Everyone knows Google Analytics. It is almost harder to find real sites that don't have Google Analytics than those that do. Because of this, it is easy for most experienced marketers to jump into any GA account and figure out what's going on.

Cons
Since Google Analytics is free (other than the 360 product that is very expensive), and lacks the features from other more reasonably priced analytics solutions for businesses.

Google Analytics (GA) is the standard web analytics platform available. Even in the largest enterprise organizations, I'd argue there is compelling reasons to comingle GA with other web analytics platforms. The integration with other Google tools along (Google ads, search console, etc.) make it practically mandatory.

Pros
A million integrations in other platforms, very powerful for the price point, more common that a user has some knowledge and can apply that without substantial training, easy to deploy, constantly improving, low overhead. UTM format is almost universal across advertising and martech platforms.

Cons
Sampling can get in the way of accurate results on higher traffic/lower conversion sites. In that case, Analytics 360 is worth the price. The automated scheduled reports are kind of wonky and often don't give the desired outcome.

Default Web Analytics

GA is our core web analytics platform, and I can't imagine we'll switch any time in the near future. It gives us the data we need to make good decisions. We've learned to live with its quirks, and you can't beat the value for the price – free.

Pros
GA is the default web analytics software in the U.S. (European clients often use Matomo.) It gives you what you need to understand broad traffic and acquisition trends. The beta Attribution feature has been a godsend in terms of channel prioritization.

Cons
The UX is clunky, to say the least. Until you're a super-user, you're limited to about 5% of what GA can do. Individual user data is obviously outside the mission of the platform, but it would be nice to have.

All about Google Analytics

So being the user of Google analytics, I can conclude that, the software can be used almost in every field. Having the simple interface will help the users to interact easily with the software, but considering the price can limit the low scale businesses from accessing the advanced features. Overall, I have a good experience with this software.

Pros
I like many things about this software. Some of them are as following: - It helps the users to create the custom reports for their analytics, - It also help the user to interact easily with the software using its several tools, like luck orange, - It genuinely shows the actual data and also let you know the source of the traffic, which is a great thing for all the user, - Even you can export the reports to excel sheets too, - It helps the users to track their created campaigns from any device, - the keyword planner tool of for keyword analysis is also very much simple and about 99% accurate as compared to the other tools, - It also compares the bounce rate with the exit rate to help the user experience problems. This is really a powerful tool, which should be used by all the business companies related to media and entertainment organizations.

Cons
The software will let the users know about the entry and exit of the visitor, but it can't let the user know the accurate results about the mean time(middle part) between their entry and exit from the site or page. If there is a high exit rate in a page, then obviously, there will be a problem with the page itself, but google analytics will not let the user know about that fault or missing thing, so the user is left only with the last option of isolating the page. Overall, it does not let the user know, about "why the user is doing what he wants to do? ". Having so many features in the software helps the organizations to evolve their business, but for low scale business, where the budget is a constraint, this software can't work for them, with advanced features, as for having advanced features, the software actually cost around $15000 which is a pretty high price for the beginners. So price can be a factor for counting it's cons.

My first Analytics Experience

Google Analytics has been a great intro to the analytics world. I do not think I am data-focused enough to say that I am an expert on it, but I can completely understand the value. Given that the price is decently negligible, I'd recommend it to anyone.

Pros
It's incredibly easy to set up. You copy and paste a line of code into your <head> and that's it. Everyone uses it, so if you want to use it on Wordpress, there are countless plugins that let you do so. The information you receive is top notch. You can get info on demographics, page visit time, bounce rate, and really all the standards. It works with all Google Ad words products - tying google ad words into the analytics page is a great way to see if your ad spend is worth it.

Cons
The information it gives you can be overwhelming. I love it, but the learning curve for decoding the information it gives you is something I am still improving on.

Web Analysis by Google

Used daily for 2+ years
Reviewed 2018-12-12
Review Source: Capterra

Pros
The main benefit of Google Analytics is the value provided by having actual detailed site metrics for all traffic visiting and leaving your website. The non-paid version of Google Analytics is still sufficient for most small to medium sized businesses to gain value without considering the need for more advanced, paid features. The standard features include real time data, custom reporting, and traffic flow visualization as well as integration with AdWords and AdSense.

Cons
The price increase for paid features is significant which may act as a barrier for smaller organizations. Initial setup may require some planning to gain maximum benefit from the service. Each organization should use one Google Analytics account with each sub-domain broken down in a hierarchy as opposed to using multiple accounts and segmenting site data. Customer reports and dashboards are needed to make management feasible.

Excellent have rarely had issues and although the google customer support team is a little below average, they can help you with almost any request and they're very prompt.

Pros
Love this software as a part-time SEO/Project Manager this is a must-have when it comes down to decision making. The information it provides can pivot the whole ad campaign in a whole new direction and the importance and use of keywords with its keyword analyzer tool is just bliss to have. I really like this product but I do feel some features should be "free to use" or at least have a shortcut since it's a bother to have to open my business account whenever I need to make a minor tweak or confirm a last-minute change.

Cons
It could be a lot more simple it's honestly a little clunky and other programs such as SEMRush that have more added value end up being an overall better product. I honestly expect more from google. But as an affordable option, there aren't two.

For the average business owner/manager, the free version of Analytics can offer significant help in shaping the way you handle online presence, marketing and advertising. It can be a little overwhelming at first with all the data, but it's not too tough to learn about. It has made a great difference with our Web and Social media platforms.

Pros
Google Analytics is really pretty user-friendly--especially for "non-techy" people. It doesn't take long to get up and running and start gaining valuable insights for growing your business.

Cons
As with most Google offerings, it's hard to pick out negatives. I would say with Analytics, the biggest con would be the price of upgrading to Premium. Most small-medium business can't touch that price-range.
