Google Analytics 360: A great software for complete comprehensive web traffic monitoring and report

Reviewed 3 months ago

Fast overwhelming response times in the views, as well as the flexibility to examine your site in real-time, have aided me in a variety of ways, from monitoring deploys on our site to unexpected changes in user behaviour owing to changes in our buying funnel.

Pros

There are several customization possibilities for creating reports and segments. Essentially, it has the capacity to follow the whole behavioural analytics of Google users. Secondly, the free version punches home enough energy to support most small and medium scale entreprises that cannot afford the premium version.

Cons

Pageviews and sessions are two examples of baseline metrics that are challenging to comprehend that demand a lot of technical know-how. Secondly, getting the 360 version is quite expensive for both small-scale and medium companies and organizations.

Your only go to analytics tool (FREE). For paid, find your use case.

Reviewed a year ago

Our overall experience with Google Analytics is slightly above satisfactory. It has helped us initially to track user data both in terms of analysis and reporting. Basis which we have been able to optimise our performance marketing leading to lower customer acquisition cost, improve our funnels leading to improved conversion and further improving margins, device expansion and off brand marketing strategy basis it's demographic data reports.

Pros

Impactful features: - GA has a freemium pricing model wherein you get a lot of functionalities in the FREE version which is majority of smaller organisation or start ups, more than sufficient. It's a go to tool for all the new products and mostly the first analytics tool to be integrated in their product. - Wide array of system reports: GA makes it easy for its user to track and analyse their users...

Cons

Features to improve: - First and foremost is speed of data extraction which needs to be improved a lot. GA takes a lot of time to pull out data, even on system reports. Now this becomes really critical when we are analysing a data set or trying to troubleshoot a problem. This breaks the momentum and sometimes is frustrating. - Custom reports to be made easy: In custom reports we have to first create...

"Impeccable Medium To Analyse Your Small & Large Businesses Traffic Online At One Place"

Reviewed 2 years ago

I was so easily able to gather the most impetous information of my business reach publicly online so I always made amendments in my marketing strategies depending on the analytics gathered for my business. And also I was able to measure the costs and marketing tips based on the analysis of my current business marketing strategies. That's it! Once measured, I refined my marketing techniques so that my business online reach had took a quick growth among the organic users.

Pros

What not! All the features provided by Google Analytics to track your business website by keeping an eye on the public reach, organic search, organic traffic, target keywords, improvements, marketing strategies everything literally for your business can be monitored on your finger tips online. The most easiest and convenient option for which I use this tool is that you can access your business website's...

Cons

As per my usage till now I dint find any cons for this tool so far. But I am a little dissappointed with the feature regarding the data viewing on a mobile or handset which is not so comfortable as that looks on my laptop. If you want to monitor your business regularly and need to have a fast growth into the online world then I would surely recommend this tool for a quick glance of your online business public reach.

It's hard to complain about free

Reviewed 2 years ago

It's pretty great for what it is. A free, easy to use product that will help you make better, quicker decisions. Again, it's hard to argue with the value proposition.

Pros

The product is incredibly easy to use. For the basic features, you can train up someone to do reporting within less than a day. There are lots of different pieces of data and reports in there - you could spend tons of time going through it and still not hit everything. The basic model (which is all 90% of businesses really need) is free. Implementation is straightforward and about as simple as can be. Documentation (while sometimes a bit hard to parse) is readily available. Alerts are easy to set up. Very simple to make different views and properties so that you can keep distinct reporting separate plus have a raw data backup.

Cons

Because it is free, it is one of the lower priority areas for development for Google. There's one particular (fairly minor) bug in it that drives me crazy that has been there for at least 3 years, and I know there is basically zero chance it gets addressed. You have no direct support or customer service, so you need to be good at self-help and googling your own answers to questions (which is luckily pretty easy). You have to deal with sampling for larger reports on the free version. A lot of the new additions which have been hyped up have been pretty weak once released (User ID view, etc).

Detailed Analysis

Reviewed 2 years ago

I had an amazing experience where I got introduced to a new world of data collection. I came to know why many websites ask location details or mail ID (to detect age and gender - which I understood after using Google Analytics). I would recommend this software/service to any beginner in website building.

Pros

I am a blogger from the past 5 months, managing my blog and checking to see the traffic to my webpage has never been easier. So I checked about that and found out that 'Google Analytics' software/platform is providing detailed analysis of the place where my visitors are from, their age, their gender, the amount of time spent by them on specific pages and even number of people who viewed my profile...

Cons

The only point I would like to mention is that to understand and not down the data, one should have a basic knowledge about the 'Marketing Funnel'. One should know how the data is collected and to add items in website like - sign in options, location detection option, cookie acceptance policy pop-ups and much more. To understand these basic points, we need to have a basic knowledge about websites, coding and other factors available in our blogging platform. Improvements are based on intuition for beginners rather applicative knowledge from the data obtained from Google Analytics. These points I like the least about this software, as a beginner.

All about Google Analytics

Reviewed 3 years ago

So being the user of Google analytics, I can conclude that, the software can be used almost in every field. Having the simple interface will help the users to interact easily with the software, but considering the price can limit the low scale businesses from accessing the advanced features. Overall, I have a good experience with this software.

Pros

I like many things about this software. Some of them are as following: - It helps the users to create the custom reports for their analytics, - It also help the user to interact easily with the software using its several tools, like luck orange, - It genuinely shows the actual data and also let you know the source of the traffic, which is a great thing for all the user, - Even you can export the reports...

Cons

The software will let the users know about the entry and exit of the visitor, but it can't let the user know the accurate results about the mean time(middle part) between their entry and exit from the site or page. If there is a high exit rate in a page, then obviously, there will be a problem with the page itself, but google analytics will not let the user know about that fault or missing thing,...

For free analytics software, it's very robust

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall, I rely on this web application. The data's mysteries can't always be teased out with ease, but GA does make said data as clear and well presented as possible. If you utilize Google Analytics long term, you'll find it's versatile and expansive. A product which does more than it says on the tin, and does it for free.

Pros

I use Google Analytics every week, sometimes every day. It's my tool for monitoring traffic performance on our site. While GA doesn't allow us to examine individual known or tagged user's repeat paths to or through the website, it gives us incredible insight into aggregate visitation and use. We see how many users arrive organically or from referrals; how many arrived from X website vs Y and Z; which landing pages they came in on; which pages they navigated to after that. It's like watching a weather system. While weather systems are a bit more predictable (ha!), the data GA provides is still highly precise in the moment and over time - and it is invaluable. There is so much content available, we can't possibly look at and leverage it all every day.

Cons

While any individual lever is very easy to manipulate, knowing which to pull and when isn't for casual users. You must come in with some digital marketing background, and then you must study the software. Not just in general, in the context of your own website. Which elements you choose to ignore completely, which elements you examine over long vs short term, and which data is actionable - those all...

Cannot be beat

Reviewed 3 years ago

Excellent! Cannot complain at all!

Pros

Google Analytics is more popular than Wordpress and is used on nearly every single website created in modern-day. Why is this? Because it is free, it is highly flexible, and it gives you the ability to track custom events across your website, app, and other devices. Google Analytics is used by many to simply collect user visitation and bounce data, but the ability of Google Analytics goes much deeper. What do I like most? The simplicity, the price (FREE), and the extensibility. Nothing can compare to the amount of value that Google Analytics provides.

Cons

Google Analytics is not user-friendly. It is making strides forward, however, with its recent design overhaul and implementation of search-based question/answer data. The learning curve is steep for anything other than simple website visitor tracking. Furthermore, with the creation of Google Tag Manager and the constantly-updating set of scripts, Google Analytics can be a slight pain for those who have used the tool for a very long time. For new and infrequent users, however, this wouldn't be an issue. There are not many cons to Google Analytics outside of its few UI quirks and the learning curve.

A Quintessential Tool to Improve Business Performance.

Reviewed 4 years ago

Google Analytics provides you data on traffic from all sources - be it paid, organic, referral, etc. So irrespective of you are a small blogger or an e-commerce site selling millions worth of merchandise per day, Google Analytics is a quintessential tool that will help you improve your business performance. Irrespective of Goals & KPIs - be it grow traffic, increase engagement, grow leads or conversions, increase revenues, etc - Google Analytics is a single tool that will help you move the needle - give you enough data and insights to improve your decision making and realise your goals.

Pros

1. Can track anything and everything that happens on your website and apps. It's so powerful. 2. It's free (for the basic version). 3. Powerful data analytics capability to help decision making. 4. Can handle massive volumes of data in a simple & easy way. 5. The paid version of Google Analytics - that is Google Analytics 360 is more powerful - so if you need more its available on tap but is expensive.

Cons

1. Heat maps are not available fully - on the console itself - although a rudimentary option is available to view it on the website page itself. Needs improvement. 2. It's like a balloon - you can get more if you take the effort to learn and the learning curve is also very steep. 3. Reports and data visualisation are taken away and created on another platform called Google Data Studio, the functionality...

Google Ads: Getting into the "Googler" Mindset

Reviewed 4 years ago

This tool has helped gain better insight into the mindset of a “Googler” as opposed to a marketer and has helped our organic traffic grow enormously.

Pros

Google Adwords is by far the most useful online advertising platform I have come across yet, but not for the obvious reasons. Google Adwords has various features that can serve as beneficial to any small business to large enterprise needs. My preferred tool is the keyword planner, which provides you with insight into the most popular search terms with an average monthly search volume and competition...

Cons

When setting up a Google Adwords account it is easy to get stuck in the billing cycle. If you don’t wish to have a card on file or would just like to use the keyword planner to get ideas or improve on SEO you can opt out of the payment process when you first create your account. Because we are a fairly small company we have not seen much monetary payoff for our campaign initiatives, which was limited...

Gold Standard

Reviewed 4 years ago

Without Google Analytics, we would have no idea what is going on with our site. We would not understand what browsers are being used, what percentage visit with mobile devices, where visitors are coming from, etc. GA allows us to make data-informed decisions--not guesses--about where improvements need to be made. With each iteration of our site, GA guides menu creation, page layouts, site structure, etc. We are continually tweaking our websites based on the data provided by GA.

Pros

Without question, Google Analytics (GA) is the gold standard of website analytics suites, especially since you get so much for no cost. I love that you can track multiple properties from one login, tracking conversions, behavior, visitor origin, exit point, how long they stay on your site, etc. For most people, GA is all you need to understand what is happening on your site, how well your SEO is working,...

Cons

Data visualization on anything other that the GA site requires a separate service. GA is very complex and with Google making frequent changes to the product, it's easy to get behind with understanding where things are located and how it works. Google also seems to have eliminated one of my favorite features, the heat map, which showed where visitors were going on a page in real time.

Now featuring selling points beyond merely being free!

Reviewed 3 years ago

Google Analytics has been an industry standard for a decade at least. At the beginning, it offered an astoundingly robust measurement suite for the very attractive price of "no money." As time went on, its features began to lag behind more specialized UI/UX/Ecommerce tools – though it still won handily on price, meaning the discussion was often more about "and" than "or". Google's new focus on improving...

Pros

Google Analytics has always been good because it is free and fairly robust. In terms of power tools, it's like a dremel. It probably isn't the single best tool for any specialized job, but it is giving you a huge amount of functionality at a really attractive price point. And, as integrations with other Google products increase, Analytics is becoming much more powerful than it had been for the past 5 years or so (as it's first-mover advantage was eroded by new specialized tools).

Cons

Documentation and support. I mean, of course support isn't going to be on the table for a piece of free software from a behemoth like Google... but it would be nice if they would at least go back and update/remove outdated support articles and forum posts. It is nearly impossible to find the answer to a problem on your first try, as there are usually five different answers on the support site all corresponding to different times in the product's development. You just have to try them all until you find the one that's still relevant. Not the most efficient use of time.

Learn more about your website.

Reviewed 4 years ago

It is an excellent tool that allows the collection of data in a very effective way, also organized in a very easy to read, although it has a large number of options which may make it a little difficult to learn to use it efficiently, google analytics teaches you data however the actions we take. With Google Analytics I have been able to carry out studies, which allow to increase the traffic, the time of duration of the sessions of the users, and to know that views of the website attracts more traffic, it is an indispesable tool for SEO.

Pros

What I like most about Google Analytics is the capacity it has for real-time metrics, its interface is very organized, and easy to understand, everything is very well detailed and independently, location, age, gender, interests, clicks , where the session ends, etc. All these separate options facilitate the interpretation of the data. Another feature that I like is how easy it is to add this tool to a website, I just need to copy and paste a small fraction of code in the index.

Cons

In all honesty I find it difficult to think of something that I dislike about this tool, it has a very useful free layer that provides a lot of information, which is the most commonly used, however there are cases in which information is really lacking on the actions taken by the user within the web, if leaves the page due to a broken link, or is another cause, the option 360 includes many other features, however the cost is quite high, can be used by large companies that handle a high traffic , and need much more detailed reports.

Google Analytics is an extreme value for the $$$

Reviewed a year ago

Primarily we use Google Analytics to track user interaction within our websites and mobile apps. This provides us with data that allows us to focus our energy on those areas used most by our customers. It also helps us determine which features might be difficult to find or hard to use. Additionally, we use some of the ecommerce metrics like customer lifetime value and average order on websites with an ecommerce component.

Pros

One of the biggest pros about using Google Analytics (besides being free) is the integration with all of the other Google tools (Google Ads, Firebase, etc). Overall, the Google documentation, free training and wealth of information makes is very easy for anyone to get up and running in a very short period of time. Robust and highly customizable reporting allows your to create reports that contain the exact data you want.

Cons

At first blush, the platform can be overwhelming. You need to learn the "language" of Google Analytics and not be intimated by all of the dashboards and options. If you website grows, and your traffic is really high (a good problem to have) then you'll have to start paying for Google Analytics which tends to be a little more $$ than some of the competitors offerings.

My honest opinion about Google Analitycs 360 (Over a year of experience)

Reviewed 8 months ago

There are many customization options for creating reports and segments. Basically, it has the potential to track the complete behavioral analysis of users who participate in Google. It's easy to use and lets you get most of what you need to do with simple training videos. If you want to know more about the tool, it is highly customizable. Easy to manage a large number of users, so anyone can view, track and work on their own metrics.

Pros

It's a great web analytics platform that can meet the needs of just about any type of organization, from small to large. Check out the template and video for a hands-on experience with the tool. There are some features that allow us to create custom dimensions. This is a great tool to start getting network traffic information, and its implementation doesn't require you to learn anything too complicated....

Cons

There are many standard metrics that are not easy to understand without contacting support, such as page views and sessions. We considered these metrics (and I'm sure anyone with a website would be) critical to our business and had to re-implement them as custom metrics because Google Analytics didn't know how they were calculated. The product is expensive for midsize companies that are not committed to analytics. If you're planning to invest in Google Analytics 360, consider buying the full Google 360 package to unlock the full potential of Google Analytics 360 for the price you pay. It's a little pricey. Some metrics are standard, such as sessions and page views. Sometimes you experience performance issues when trying out some customizations.

Optimise Your Business with GA

Reviewed 3 years ago

I have been working on Google Analytics for a few years now and have seen the product mature greatly over the years. So far I feel GA is the best tool out there for the feature, functions and value it provides

Pros

Today, the cyberspace is dominated by Google and its products that each and every business uses it in some or the other form and so does the consumer. Therefore its a no-brainer to use Google Analytics to optimise how you’re business is attracting and retaining consumers on the internet. GA integrates across all Google suites and gives a comprehensive overview of what you should and shouldnt do to market your product/services to the global audience.

Cons

Like any software there are some limitations to features that might be better offered by a rival product.

Excellent Tool!

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Search Engine Analytics for the best and most-used search engine in the world. This is data driven reality for your site and an absolute must-use for anyone engaged in online commerce. You will know who's visiting your site, what they liked and why they found you in the first place. It's easy to use and incredibly well-documented. You can get yourself certified to use Analytics through a Google training program and people can and do build careers out of this. It integrates into Google Adwords, Webmaster Tools, and even with your shopping platforms like Big Commerce.

Cons

It has been said that if the service you're using is free, then you are really what is being sold. Google is the best, but part of that is because it is the biggest - the same data it is collecting for you, it is collecting about you. There are a lot of privacy concerns and the overall idea of Google as a monolothic Big Data entity, and using Analytics is directly feeding into it. The price of getting all this data for free is the cost of giving up all that data and more, also for free. There are a lot of obvious privacy and security concerns here - for most people, this is an acceptable cost of doing business. If privacy and security are major concerns for your operation, however, don't get anywhere near this.

Best form of Marker Research

Reviewed 4 years ago

Overall, as long as the data is read correctly knowing what it means, its great to show where your traffic is coming from and what they are doing on your website. All this analysis helps you make smart business decisions and even compare different alternatives to see what works with your target audience.

Pros

Google analytics provides meaningful insights about my audience and allows me to better cater my digital marketing strategy to get to my target audience. It provides precise data such as average session duration as well as pages per session. In the past my website clicks were good but average session duration was very low which told me that I need to improve on my website appearance. I worked on my website to make it more appealing and the average duration that a visitor spends on my website increased. Hence, google analytics allowed me to make the business improvement and showed the results of those changes. All in all, it is great to see and analyze how different digital marketing tactics are impacting the various criteria which tells you a lot about your audience.

Cons

It takes some time to learn what the different numbers mean and where they are coming from. It would be nice if there was some description beside each data explaining what exactly it indicates. I had to research a little to learn what it all meant.

Includes many insightful analytic capabilities and works well within Google's marketing platform.

Reviewed 3 years ago

I'm learning about whether or not actions I implement on the other aspects of my front-end development are paying off in returns in valuation and also, I can gain valuable insights in to what exactly else and additional I could exploit in my website development and user acquisition and demographics insights to create more valuable and relevant website content and marketing.

Pros

I like the capability to learn by doing with this software, and, as well, the options to add various defined properties. Setting up reports is a snap with the fluid user interface and menu options. The platform becomes complex with the many options of defined metrics to display on reports, but Google's documentation suffices for the dedicated user and administrator of the app, over time. The app is a good avenue in to establishing insights in to how effectively sites are engaging with users, providing value for the developer, search discovery, and dozens of other capabilities covering a rich assortment of analysis and reporting tools and graphs.

Cons

The onboarding for the app could perhaps be integrated more seamlessly within individual metrics options, making the attention and learning time span divide and distance a bit fewer clicks and new-display page replacement difficulties, to assist with a more integrated and interactive learning and user experience style.

A must use tool for the majority of websites

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Best thing is that it's free and basically easy to set up initially. You don't need developer knowledge to use its basic features and you get a lot of value - understanding your audience and customer behavior. You DO need however some coding experience to use advanced features as tracking specific user actions on website, setting up goal funnels, implementing e-commerce tracking, cross-device tracking,...

Cons

It really takes a lot of time to master and get the maximum of the tool. There are some limitations like data sampling in reports or other features which are missing in the free Google Analytics but you can get with the Premium (Google Analytics 360) - which is really costly. The free version also has a limited number of goals, custom dimensions, custom metrics you can set (20 of each).

Without it you are lost

Reviewed 2 years ago

It helped me to learn all there is about web analytics, some times it was frustrating, but its the best platform of the market

Pros

If you need to do a quantitative analysis of your website or app, almost everything you need to know about your site will be here. Considering that the basic version is free, then the value that it generates is infinite.

Cons

To fully take advantage of the tool, you need to implement a lot coding on the site and also add Tag Manager to your platform list. The initial set up is easy but to measure everything, from clicks on buttons to multi domain websites, you are going to need a developer or someone with a lot of Tag Manager experience. Also the 360 version is extremely expensive.

A Complicated Integration Must-Have Tool for Website Owners

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall, Google Analytics is worth the hassle because it's free. When it's functioning properly, it helps you identify how traffic is flowing onto and away from the site, and what the visitors are doing in between entry and exit. With this insight, it's easy to spot hits and misses and make adjustments accordingly. So overall, I still consider this to be a must-have website tool for me and all my clients.

Pros

The best thing about Google Analytics is that it's free. If I had to pay for it, I would be much less satisfied, but there's a baseline of forgiveness because it doesn't cost anything. Google is THE search engine and Google Analytics is THE tracking tool that provides the best insights about website metrics, trends, and productivity. My favorite thing about it is the real-time traffic graph, which shows the immediate results of your distribution and promotion efforts. That's fun to engage with!

Cons

I've used Google Analytics for more than a decade. As time goes on, it gets more robust and detailed, but also more convoluted and complicated. The integration with Wordpress is particularly frustrating, glitchy, and unreliable. There's always something difficult about the setup of Google Analytics on Wordpress sites these days.

Inexpensive Analytics tool for every organisation/startup

Reviewed 2 years ago

It is an inexpensive enterprise grade analytical tool for a startup like ours. Addressing all our needs and providing better analytics to take right decisions

Pros

I don't think there will be a better product other than Google analytics at this price point. The powerful features made available to every user at free of cost. Scalable and ease of use. Integration with other Google services like Google ads and Data studio Ability to generate reports and dashboard. Enterprise grade features. Smart insights features.

Cons

Lack of support. Community support is still helpful. Often effect site speed and performance. Need to optimise the implementation to reduce impact on performance. No heatmaps

One of the best tools on getting website analytics and customer metrics

Reviewed 3 years ago

It's a great tool to get your website(s) linked to. Even though you may not know how to utilize every feature, I recommend linking your sites and let them sit for some time. Use the learning academy to learn the basic reporting features and then go back and learn how to gauge your visitor behavior by reading your site dashboards. It helps!

Pros

Google analytics provides some powerful metrics on your website visitor behavior and supporting metrics about them. From demographics to technology used you'll gain the advantage of being able to analyze how your visitors see your website content. - How often you get visited, including real time - Average page sessions - Page visits with the most clicks - Actions being taken on your content pages Given the opportunity, you can also integrate your analytics with Google Data Studio for advanced performance dashboards. Pricing is free for most users. Bigger Enterprise customers who need to capture massive traffic can still utilize Google Analytics 360.

Cons

Can be very cumbersome to learn how to utilize reporting metrics. Google provides a free online academy for learning Google Analytics and how to use its reporting features.
