I wish I had more of an opportunity to use the tool as I am no longer at the company I set it up for. But if your company has a difficult time understanding what prospects/accounts to prioritize and understanding your strongest target audiences/market, then Demandbase One is an absolute must. Especially if you use Salesforce as your CRM.
As a Salesforce administrator, I especially love the SFDC integration of Demandbase for starters. But I love the UI of the tool itself, that you can add custom tags & fields & dashboard/report views. I love the intuitive ability of the account scoring feature and while we hadn't setup lead scoring as well, I can imagine it's just as valuable for companies who use leads and get a lot of them.
It's a bit tedious to setup from the admin perspective if you don't have a very big ops team to do it together with.But aside from that, it's hard to find a complaint otherwise.

So far, my experience has been good. They have a really solid CSM team and have been very responsive.
DemandBase is easy to use and has some great reporting features to measure trend over time for your target accounts.
The ad-serving capability is manual (meaning you have to provide their team with all of the assets and lists and their team sets up the campaigns and manages them. I have used other tools in the past (e.g. 6Sense and Terminus) where they just allow you to run the campaigns directly from their platform, which seems easier and faster.

Overall, this may be a great tool for organizations with great sfdc information. However, not all organizations have great information. Especially ones that are still learning and growing rapidly. If your company is still growing, then this isn't the tool for you. There are other tools out there that can be more helpful for your outbound and inbound teams.
It's nice that it gives you insights on how and who (company) to connect with.
I've used this tool for over 3 years and nothing has changed about the tool. It's rare to see anyone generate opportunities from the tool. It takes a very long time to get the tool out to everyone and once you do, the information is rarely correct. It'll provide you with lead information for other reps. If your company doesn't have great sfdc information then this tool will not be great for your organization. The customer support is not great. The sales reps make a lot of false promises and when asked about issues with the tool they don't have any answers. The tool is like advertising, nothing is guaranteed and the support team can't say much when it comes to help and issues.

The most impactful features is the ability to personalize experiences by being able to create custom lists with many different filters/selectors. The lists created can also be integrated with our marketing systems such as LinkedIn/Marketo which is crucial for our lead generation. The reporting aspect is also great since our sales and marketing teams can measure success by tracking engagement at different journey stages. Lastly, our CSM is great and we always get the best support we need from her.
While our CSM support is great, I feel that technical support and solutions from their engineers are not quick to respond and thorough enough.

Overall pretty happy with it as it does provide great insights.
This is a really useful tool for our sales teams in terms of seeing if their prospects are engaged. Really valuable from a sales and marketing perspective.
I really wasn't impressed with the reporting aspect. Not simple at all and a rather confined process.
