HouseCall, offered by Codefied, is a cloud-based work order management software that enables service professionals and customers to schedule, invoice, and dispatch field management jobs. The product caters to the needs of small & mid-sized companies, as well as for self-employed service professionals.

HouseCall offers scheduling & dispatching features that enable users to manage their dispatch calendars from web-based or mobile devices, and keep a track of job status across a work-order life cycle. The product also maintains a database of customer related information including customer profile, jobs history, and payments & invoices data, keeping a detailed record of transaction history. In-app messaging feature of the product enables centralized messaging with the customer, making job-flows more efficient. HouseCall offers a live map functionality that enables the tracking of daily routes & employee locations, and map service addresses. The software also offers automation in invoices & payments collections with features such as auto-generation & dispatch of invoices, accepting credit card payments online or through phones, and scanning or keying cards without having to swipe them.

HouseCall has a database of all types of service professionals including, handyman, plumbers, electricians, house maids, carpet cleaners, window washers, locksmiths, and pest control, among others. The product offers calendar synchronization with Google calendars and integration with third-party accounting software’s such as QuickBooks.

Pros

The ease of adding a customers info & setting up their appointments. I also like the way we can leave notes about the job, so the whole team is kept in the loop.

Cons

It should work with Apple CarPlay so I can see it on my car screen instead of just on my phone. I don't like the way the screen scrolls forward occasionally while I'm trying to review my schedule.

Pros

Easy to Dispatch jobs or change jobs in middle of day to accommodate customers needs and move men were they are needed when emergencies occur. Pricing is reasonable.

Cons

Price list is not easy to use or change or update in the field. We would like have our electrician or office staff be able to easily add or change materials in the price list and update prices in the field.

Its taking time but slowly I am learning more about it

Pros

Not as open and easy to change some things as I would like but the customer service is amazing. I really like the availability to pay through the app but haven't set it up yet with the bank which I am going to do today.

Cons

Still having difficulty adding employees and industries I am hoping to figure this out real soon so I can have other employees do these invoices.

not very functional for a general contractor

Pros

Ability to track jobs scheduling and keep all the information in one place is great! Address link to google ! Store notes!

Cons

its not functional for a general contractor who does estimates all the time. there is no option to save a message for a quote or an invoice. (cant have same message for quote and invoice DUH)..there are other issues which I have forwarded.

We looked at most of the programs on the market. Housecall Pro is simply the best.

Pros

Housecall Pro is equivalent to hiring several office staff. We can't imagine how we ran our business without it. Considering the cost, it would be dumb not to have it. We tried most of the other applications and nothing came close. These guys really understand the needs of our business. Our customers love it too.

Cons

Can't think of any real cons! It would be nice to have the ability to upload photo's into the services and materials database. This would give our techs and sales staff an easy way to show our customers the items they are considering purchasing by eliminating the need to jump out of the application and search for the correct photo elsewhere on our tablets or smart phones. It would also help eliminate confusion and subsequent billing errors while preparing final invoices. A picture's worth a thousand words!

Great software for businesses

Pros

The software is very user friendly once you get the hang of it. It keeps all the customers organized and it's very efficient. It saves the history for each job and all the pictures. I am able to print off my invoices using the envelopes linked to the size which makes it very simple. I love that it links to Quick Books. Customers love it. They like how they know when the technician is on their way, starting and finished, and they can track them. The app makes it simple to pay online with a credit card. Overall, I'm definitely very pleased with the software and app for our business.

Cons

Working out some kinks with how it links to Quick books. It's takes more time to schedule then using the iCloud calendar, but is definitely more efficient, so that's still a pro.

Overall a very productive software.

Pros

I think that the variety of services, the ease of use, and the amount of information that is provided, makes this software very powerful.

Cons

I believe that if this software could process payment through the software, it would make it more appealing to users

Great Product, Keeps me organized

Pros

The ease of scheduling, dispatching, collecting payments (knowing who has and hasn't paid), reports, communication with customers, one click mapping

Cons

It doesn't put the correct tax collected into the correct category. In Texas we have multiple components and with housecall you only have one. So, it doesn't sort the tax correctly.

Everything... i do not need to type 100 min characters to explain this software, awesome is enough

Cons

No card swipe, even with the scan it take time to type. Other than that HCP is a great software program.. the ease of use is refreshing. (P.S. if you use any of my review for promotions We would like 20%) no kidding!

Pros

Everything was simplified. From adding new account to exporting of existing clients. We love how you can communicate with the client to closing the sale an accepting payments. Also the ability to e-mail clients.

Cons

Not being able to add the ap to our social media channels. I have another online business and the use of Social Media is how I drive traffic to our landing pages BUT without the additional charge.
