Don't pay and demand a trail before hand

So at the beginning I ask repeatedly if I could trail the app before signing up for 12 months. They never let me. They did do an online presentation with me and I was very impressed with all the features that were shown it had everything I needed so I payed it lump at the start a few hundred pounds and started to use the software. Straight away I realised it was such a bad mistake. It's not at all finished there's so many problems with it, after a week I found a client feedback page and realised I wasn't the only one finding it a nightmare to use... It's such a shame as they have thought of everything but it's not no where near ready yet and if you get your clients onto the software and the app your going to make yourself look incompetent. I tried to get into but no joy I've just given up, can't waist anymore time with it. The hardware is even worse the scales and the writs band "fitness tracker" beyond awful. Beware of any software that doesn't let you test it before hand. Maybe in a year or two this app will be worth paying for but I wouldn't even use it for free as it is, your just going to come across as unprofessional to your clients.

Pros
It's easy to use, there is the possibility of quick contact with assistance and the enormous availability and continuous updates that make the app easier and more intuitive. The updates also make it possible to continuously icrease the functions and the possibilities of use.

Cons
honestly I have nothing to reproach the app. I will stop using it because my work has changed and it's not in the fitness world so this software is not useful for me anymore.

It doesn't help Personal trainers, there are better options in the market. This is a app that was first designed for the general population, and not for personal trainers. Recently they started to sell professional packages - to personal trainers and gyms- but it seems that they are much more interested in gyms, than personal trainers, so all the updates failed to improve the main things that i wanted to improve.

Pros
It gives you access to a very powerful platform, and you can brand it everything.

Cons
- no Coach app; - Terrible workout editor; - You cannot assign workout to a client, he needs to chose it from the available workouts; - you cannot use the app to track your clients workouts; - You dont have a demo of the portal, you need to sign for a year membership if you want to access to the portal;

Highly recommend against using it.

Pros
Variety of workouts and easy to use for food logging.

Cons
The customer service! First it took about 1 month before I could even use the customized app. Then I couldn't see my workouts in my app. Apparently that was an Android issue and took about 3 weeks to be fixed. I used the software for some time and, since my client don't really use it, canceled my 1 year commitment 30 days in advance. But nobody seems to be available to acknowledge my cancelation. There's no phone number, no chat feature or anything. Very upsetting and time consuming. They better don't charge me again since I fullfilled my 1 year contract.

Comments: Virtuagym delivers! Ever since I requested a demo, they have been on top of literally everything. From showing me what benefits and features the system entails, to using the system to its full capacity and updating me on new features, such as the web shop. Pros: the organization itself is very professional, and I can tell as I've visited the office. Other than that I'm really liking the fact that it's such a robust system, with both coaching and retention tools. Lastly, I'd say the number of features they've been able to push through, with a community, a webshop and payment processing as some recent examples. Cons: not that I was ever told this was going to be build, but I'd like to see a lead follow up section at some point. Recommendations to other buyers: I'm positive you will save plenty of time and be able to retain your customers for a way longer period of time. Your members are going to like the challenges and community part!

None, unless you count less money in the bank account as a benefit. I don't. The software could be great with quite a few improvements, but it lacks much basic functionality such as automated billing. - The sales people are slick tongued and can sell really well. They'll promise you whatever you want! (See Cons)

Cons
- As mentioned, they promise a lot and then don't deliver. If you ask about a feature they don't have, they'll assure you it "launches next month" or some such nonsense. - Sales people sell a product they don't have by promising/"showing" features they don't have. - They WILL charge you as long as they possibly can, even going so far as to change the names that appear on the credit card statement in order to circumvent account holds. - They won't let you try the platform before committing. Their minimum contract is 12 months and the "cancellation" terms are to pay out the entire remaining contract even if you don't want to use the service. - When you do try to cancel, they'll delay replying long enough to charge you at least one more time, then they'll try to make you jump through hoops with "cancellation paperwork" when the contract expressly states they accept cancellation via simple email. - This company is a scam. Stay away!

The exercise portion is great for helping more at-risk members to have a plan, the nutrition app is a great IIFYM calculator, and the NEO health trackers tie it all together to give a picture of where members are and track their progress along the way to improve retention and increase income. I would like to see the payment side more Americanized for us in the US. We don't have bic codes and such.

Exercise programs, nutrition, and NEO bracelets. Haven't used it for membership yet.

Cons
Needs to be more American-friendly in payment portion.

Pros
The software is realiable and user friendly. The customer service team try their hardest to help in any way they can. When purchasing I felt no pressure to get locked into a contract unlike other companies which can really affect your experience.

Cons
That I cannot view a weekly schedule on my mobile app. And my members of staff do not see the same coloured schedule that I see. Its also not clear how to set staff privacy settings.

I have 21 questions and growing. All presented in a PDF. I presented the bulk of the questions in early November 2018 when I purchased and I have yet to find answers to the questions I presented then. I don't get feedback. I don't want to hear excuses. I want to see action. Like all business people. The app makers probably understand that. I am not seeing any actions. My questions are still pending... Very frustrating. I've requested for a supervisor and no one is listening. They have taken my money but they aren't providing support. I don't get it. I wish there was a free trial for a month. I didn't request for any special things like creating a button for me or special links. Nothing special. Very cut and dry account. Why not have a free trial so we can test it out and see what we are truly facing. If I had been exposed to it like this I would not have purchased.

Pros
It's potential to be an all-in-one tool.

Cons
The fact that potential is sold by the sales team but once you purchase nothing works and you're locked into a contract.

In the beginning, when I was signing up, they called a few times a week to check in on me. They were happy to hear my suggestions on things that I needed.....however...

Cons
My suggestions were not implemented. After my 1 yr contract was close to being done, I realized, this is not the software for my business anymore. When I used the contact form BEFORE my 1 yr mark, to ask how I go about cancelling my subscription (since there is NO easy way to do this and no information can be found about it). I received no contact back. I later then tried calling, leaving a voicemail. I then received an email TWO months after my initial contact for request on how to cancel! (and a long thread of back and forth) where the support staff has stated my term has automatically renewed and there is 'conveniently' no trace or evidence that I left a msg or used their contact form to request to cancel and I now owe another yr of subscription. I did NOT give consent to this, in fact the contrary. They have been completely disregarding that I even tried to contact them and just so happened to not contact me at all In the 2 months leading up to it. There is no where where I have consented to them renewing my contract at all. This is a complete scam and DO NOT use this this service at all!!

I was starting my company VITAMIND when I saw an other trainer who was using the online system from Virtuagym. I loved it, it had exactly the features where I was searching for as a trainer to complete the request from my clients. What I personally like is that it's a very complete software, as it includes both client-engagement and membership-management. Assigning workouts and meal plans is easily done and the support from Virtuagym is very fast and friendly. I think Virtuagym offers a complete system to give your clients full online support to manage their (new) lifestyle. Depending on what you're looking for, this is definitely a software I'd recommend to trainers and also to big companies as your employees can also use it for their health-measurements and -competition. ;-)

Not much to say here but I would've liked have a female trainer also showing exercises. Theres nothing else believe it or not.

It’s been nothing but a headache and super frustrating.

Sounds cool with so many features, customer support is nice and helpful.

Cons
First of all t’s a pain to learn, it has all these features that instead of doing something right, they are all useless. Then since day one we had problems with it, creating embarrassing problems to our new members. From it not allowing members to signed up online, to charging their cards and not showing in our system, to having to get a different P.O.S system when at purchasing the system I was told it was going to work just fine but it was again useless. There are always issues I have to keep emailing support almost every week. Not sure how long they have been around but it seems like they are always fixing issues and have many features in Beta that might or might not work. On top you have to sign a 12 month agreement so you are pretty much stuck with them.

Pros
Customer service and support is quite excellent through their live chat! It's an extensive system, lots to learn still. I enjoy the endless possibilities to create workouts from a huge database of exercises and the ability to create and track meals. It is very handy that Virtuagym syncs with my fitbit.

Cons

Horrendous Customer Service!

Terrible!!

This software is easy enough to use, but so are many other ones.

Cons
The customer service has been atrocious! I tried to cancel my agreement before my first year was up and was told by a customer service manager that if I just stuck with them, they could show me how they would improve their service, and if I was not happy after a couple more months, she would cancel my agreement herself. So I stayed, willing to give it a few more months. Now I try to cancel and they say sorry, you owe for the entire rest of the year. Seems like quite the scam!!

- June 2018 - you requested to cancel but agreed to stay.
- November 2018 - I called and emailed you as promised to see if you still wanted to cancel. You did not respond to either communication.
- December 2018 - your license renewed for another year and your system continued to be used by you and your clients.
- March 2019 - you emailed asking to cancel again. Your request was denied as you were 4 months into your 2nd term.
- You had mentioned that you were never told about your renewal after 12 months but we did discuss this on the call and it is also on the license that you had accepted before making the purchase of the system.

I am sorry that you feel that you were scammed but we had stuck to every point of our agreement, however, we would be happy to discuss this further with you. Please call/email us at your convenience.

Things were organized but the app is too limiting and the nutrition app although very cool doesn't work

Pros
The pros of the app is that everything is in one place- If both apps were more functional it would be nice be organized

Cons
none of the information in the food app is correct so its unusable. The exercise options are incredibly limiting. Customer service is unable to correct the issue and takes a week or more to answer your emails since they no longer have customer service via phone

In order to be able to help our customers around the world, we have an open database in regards to our food and fitness apps. This means that anyone can always add new products in our database. Unfortunately, this does cause some pollution in our database occasionally. By reporting these products we are able to optimize our services. We do understand that this might be an inconvenience for our customers and therefore we do want to apologize.

In regards to the issues you have experienced with our customer service team, we're terribly sorry for disappointing you. Because we are a fast growing business we have Service Level Agreements to adhere to, which means we cannot always reply to everyone as fast as we want to.

Pros
The user interface is very aesthetically pleasing, especially the nutrition app. The training app exercise animation are pretty good as well.

Cons
Cost. Very expensive compared to others. You can't build workout programs for a period of time. For example, a 6 week strength training program with progressions in weight/reps/sets.

I think the virtuagym system works great and amazing and I believe the system is well thought out and great for clients to keep track of their progress and I believe that there are some areas that can still do some work. I think if virtuagym can be combined with a service like PT distinction it will be mind blowing. But I believe the Virtuagym system has been designed for gym owners and larger scale facilities, the system is good but I would use a more specific online coaching platform.
